Chapter 4 - Chapter 3 "Missing"

The next morning, as Hale walked through the district, he could see posters of a man that was missing, Hale peered into the poster, it said "Missing Man! Jeep Jackson Youn, Please report to the Police Headquarters if found." Hale started to have cold sweat, his eyes blinked multiple times as if trying to change what he just read. He felt nervous. He didn't know why. Having had new information, Hale rushed to the PEX office and almost slammed into Calypso who was stood there silently with a concerned face. "Phew," she sighed with relief, "You're still alive. Was quite worried there for a while."

"Jeep?" Hale nervously whimpered

"Epimetheus himself will look into the case soon," she assured, "oh and remember the not stay out late, you could be next." She instructed gravely. "Now follow me greenhorn! I'll show you the ropes of being a Delivery Man, in fact, I used to be one too." She said as she picked up a black square box which looked about 20cm on both length and height. "This here, is the famous 'Pandora's Box', which will unleash terrible punishments on whoever you give it to," she commented, "be very careful with it, emphasis on 'very'." She shoved it into Hale's hands who nodded with a frightened expression. "Don't worry, as long as you don't open it, you'll be fine," She assured cheerfully, "Now let's go."

Calypso led Hale around the city while holding a map, making twists and turns down roads and alleys. Eventually she stopped at a brick house with black shingles in a suburban area. Ding Dong! The door opened revealing a middle-aged man with a shaken face. "Hello there..." Calypso looked at the box's engraving, "Mr. Moris, would you please sign this acknowledgement slip to show that we have successfully delivered the package?" she asked sweetly.

"I'm no fool, I can clearly see that you are from Pandora Express!" the man yelled.

"I guess we tried." Calypso replied clearly used to it, as she snatched the box from Hale's hands and threw the contents at the man who stumbled backwards and slammed the door instantly. "Job done, we do try to ask for their signatures, but they just never listen do they?" she calmly joked. A deafening scream behind the door made Hale scared petrified. "That's the end of the day for you Hale, I think anyone new deserves to take a break after that." She sympathised. "Now go along, you'll have to do a delivery by yourself tomorrow, exciting isn't it? Best of luck." She wished as Hale lumbered out of the suburbs feeling confused and shocked.
