"You can do this, Hale, you can do this." muttered repeatedly as Hale stared at his own reflection in the bathroom, this was the day where he would had to attempt a delivery on his own. Hale trotted out of the bathroom and finished his tea which had already became cool after taking Hale such a long time to steel himself. After draining the cup dry, he set it in the sink, grabbed his essentials; wallet, watch, apartment keys, and strode through the front door locking it on his way. He had arrived at work at exactly 8:00, he bounced into the office. Putting on a confident face, he picked up the Pandora's box from the waiting Mrs. Bardsley, and walked out of the building more determined then ever.
Hale followed the map's instructions and traversed a long distance after what seemed like a long time, reached a Queen Anne styled house with "Gene" on the nameplate. Hale glanced at the box's engravings to see Uffe Michael Gene. " We are at the right place I suppose." He remarked to himself. Ding! A fit, middle-aged man opened the door. "Hello, this is U. Gene," the man introduced. "Oh, a Pandora's box! I suppose it's for me, take a sit, I'll go get a pen." Hale walked pass the medals of Olympics in the cabinet stand. "I used to be a professional athlete ya' know. Take a seat in the dark velvet couch, I'll be back with a pen." Hale took a seat on the velvet couch, "A nice man like him couldn't possibly do something bad." He had thought, while massaging his legs. Boom! Splinters injured his shoulder, blood leaked downwards his arm, the pain was excruciating, but this wasn't Hale anymore, it was Hail, a cold-hearted and cruel man. Hail turned around to see a shocked Gene holding a broken cricket bat. "Your turn." He hissed eerily, and proceeded to beat the life out of the frightened man with his bare fist, with each punch easily battering the man. Eventually Mr. U. Gene was nothing but a deceased pile of flesh and broken bones. He then threw the contents of the box harder than he should have onto Mr. U. Gene's corpse and walked away, then touched his uninjured shoulder reverting back to Hale, who almost started to cry as he started to feel the unbearable pain. "What happened!" he sobbed. He quickly decided to head back to Pandora Express and get patched up.
