Chapter 4 - Chapter 4: An Unfortunate Turn of Events

A week has passed since I've been contracted. Who do I work for? I don't know. Do I have enough information? No. Is the pay worth the risk? I doubt it. How long is this job going to last? Hell if I know.

As I walk down the tunnel towards a settlement, I hear noises behind me. As I turn around, I see nothing there, only the desolate metro that I call home. I quicken my pace towards the settlement, and soon enough, I see the giant red door that means the safety of people. I bang on it quite hard and watch the tunnel, waiting for them to open up.

The door slowly opened to reveal a sinister force behind it. As the lights turned on and my eyes adjust, I see the banner that marks the end for me.

"My my, is this a Communist returning after a mission? Such a shame that you will end up just like your friends. Grab him."

"Yes Sir!"

Two heavily armored Reich members grab me and knock me out. As I'm unconscious, I'm dragged off to a prison camp. I awoke not long after arriving, only being unconscious for about four or five hours. My cell was small, being only two by two by two in meters.

Just my fucking luck. I couldn't help but think to myself, why am I the one who has to go through this? No matter, for they have no clue of who I work with.

The room that I am in is a large, tubular type of silo. Up and down across the walls are hundreds of cages. Outside of them was a pathway, a crane at the very top. I look around the cell only to find bones. I pick a large one up and snap it in half, using one half to begin sharpening it, creating a shiv. I take the other half and slide it through the keyhole, moving it around as I hear faint clicks and after what must of been fifteen minutes, the lock pops off.

I slowly slide open the cage door and step out, crouching with my temporary shiv in my right hand. Luckily, the light in the massive silo was not very bright, so I snuck around in the shadows, barely noticeable even to the prisoners. As I made my way up to the control room, located near the crane, I found the first guard. He had his back towards me, so I wasted no time in putting my left hand over his mouth and slamming my knife into him about six times, destroying his throat with each hit. As he went down, I grabbed his rifle and broke his light. Unfortunately, he only had two clips of ammo.

I was near the top now, but there were more guards. Five of them to be exact, and two of them were heavily armed and armored. I slowly made my way up towards them, shooting out the lights when I was close enough. This startled them and they began looking around, turning on their lights. This was a dead give away and I rushed them, moving right to left. As the two heavies saw me, I slid to the far left on, grabbing on to him and moving up his helmet where I plunged my shiv into his throat. His partner began shooting, but I pushed towards them, using the body and it's armor as cover. When I was close enough, I pulled out my rifle and slammed the butt of it against his helmet, causing him to fall to his knees. I quickly gunned the remain three troops down before grabbing the armored one and dragging him to the edge.

"Burn in Hell you Nazi scum!" I spat at him as I threw him off. He screamed loudly as he fell to the bottom, a loud crunch following up the silo when he reached the bottom. I went over to the crane and started it up, moving the arm to slam into the glass of the control room. The arm went through the window with no problem, allowing me to climb on top and run into the room. The dazed and confused German soldiers couldn't believe what just happened. I gladly emptied my clip into all of them. I took the time to gather some gear and weapons, coming out with an actual knife, three throwing knives, a flash bang, and two pipe bombs. I also gained three clips of ammo with two clips for a pistol, along with a Lolife.

I make my way around the control room, ending up with finding a map and a journal. Alongside the journal is a lighter. I make my way over to the door and hit the button, the door slowly unlocking and opening with a loud series of clanking. On the other side was my freedom, but only after the enemy was destroyed. To the generator room I must go.
