He got distracted by the passing of time a sooner than later came the night. Lith looked up to the sky to see the moons looking down at him, after admiring the beautiful view for a few seconds he decided it was time to go inside again to talk to his father. Both of them were waiting for him, it was clear that they were anxious to know the answer

In a few minutes, the dining table was outside under the two moons. This peaceful night in the desert was going to be a long one. Lith was rapidly explained how the ritual to obtain the unlimited was. And in no time he was bear chest lying on the table looking up, with his head pointing to the Dark Moon and his feet pointing the Light Moon. A thumbs size white rock lay on his chest on top of his heart. A black rock, equal to the white except for its color lay on his forehead.
Rubius started with chanting in an idiom Lith had never heard, while mark took a brush from his robe and started painting from his chest, while lith couldn't see what was being painted, he felt that how the painting started in around the white rock an extended outwards, rhythmically he was being painted, but at some point along with the chanting started accelerating.
When the last brushstroke was given, silence governed the night was again. Did they fail? Why hadn't anything change? They had followed all the instructions left by Lith's mother, it was clearly stated it should be done this night and only this night had the chance of succeeding. After a few seconds, the worry was starting to grow inside Mark and Rubius.

A flash of light turn the night into day, in the whiteness, Lith heard a voice calling to him.
-So young one, why do you seek me?- ask the voice
-W-who are yo-u?- Lith stutter
