When we arrived at the base, I took Connor to the back of the building where our gym is, it is literally just a school-like gym but smaller, as the place was not that big. When Connor finally got his lazy ass in there, Finn was already there waiting calmly. He has done this many times before. I introduced Connor and Finn, then sat back down.
"Weapons or no?" Finn asked, pulling out some swords, daggers, spears and a bunch of other sharp pointy things, that you could use to hurt people, out. Connor nodded and chose some knives. Finn chose his normal dagger. Finn, as always, made the first move but Connor amazingly dodged it. Finn was a little surprised by this, but didn't let his guard down (good job). When Connor came at him he put him in a headlock, making them both drop their weapons. Connor some how got out of his headlock, jeez I have never seen that done before. Maybe he is stronger than I thought. I was interrupted by the gym door opening. I turned my head to see David with a worried expression. Finn turned towards me as Connor stopped to see what was going on. I signaled Finn to continue, as I checked out what was going on. I exited the gym and turned to David who looked like he was about to die. David generally doesn't seem worried, sad, mad, etc, he is usually happy and up going. Seeing him like this worried me.
"What is going on?" I asked concerned of what is, or has happened.
"L-Lucas... he" he stuttered
"what happened?" I asked again this time using a more serious tone.
"Nathan, he has Nathan," he said looking away from me.
"The hell... how did this happen?" I shouted. David tensed up, as he probably didn't know. I took a deep breath and calmly said
"We are now on lock down, if Lucas has the power to take down Nathan then he will soon be coming for us, I will gather the Star squad and we will go to his base. Make sure everyone is safe until we get back."
"Yes boss" he said as he rushed down the hall to start the lockdown procedure. I walked back in the gym and said
"Finn let's go top priority" Finn went to go get his weapons. Finn was the best hand to hand combat we have. Connor came running over to me, he probably saw that I was upset.
"What's wrong princess?" he asked, pulling me into a hug.
"Lucas has Nathan" was all I managed to get out before I started crying, all the emotions I kept stored away just came rushing out. Connor picked me up and brought me to the chair I was sitting in earlier.
"Shhhh.... you can take down Lucas easily." He said as he rubbed my back
"you don't get it, Nathan is the strongest person I have ever known, he is much stronger than me or you." I started as I got up from his lap, and started for the door.
"Then let me come along, princess" Connor said, once he caught up with me right by the door.
"No way, you will die" I said, then opened the door.
"Yes, I am strong enough, and I am coming along, you don't have a say in the matter, sorry princess" I turned to face him and the only thing I saw in his eyes was pure determination. Finn came out of the weapon room and I shouted
"score" he looked to see me next to Connor
"98" Finn shouted back. 98 wow that was high, I was only a 95 in Finns score book.
(Finn rates the opponents from 0-100 the higher the score the better you are.) My jaw dropped. Connor was actually that good.
"OK you can come along but you have to promise not to put yourself in the direct line of danger" I said, then he literally started jumping with joy, literally jumping up and down.
"Finn take him outside and give him a brief of the do's and don'ts" I shouted as I ran down the hall looking for Charles, as he was the best long range fighter we have, only second to me. Once Charles got outside he halted and pointed over to Connor.
"Later" I said as I started running into the forest. Finn, Charles, and Connor followed closely behind. When we came to the base I climbed a tree so Charles and Finn hid in a bush. I looked around but didn't see Connor. I went on to the walk-talkie and asked
"Connor you there"
"yep, princess, here alright" he replied and I saw Charles jaw drop, I couldn't see Finn but I knew he was probably as surprised, if not more, as Charles was. I gave Charles the signal as me and Charles fired and took down all the outside guards. Before the other guards noticed, me, Finn, and Connor ran into the building.
"I will distract Lucas, you guys go look for Nathan." Finn knows Nathan pretty well as they grew up together, and Connor met Nathan when he talked to Hannah. I walked in the big hall like room, with my hands up. Lucas was sitting on the throne like a chair writing something down. One of the guards coughed and Lucas jolted his head up and saw me.
"Well, well, well, what do we have here" he said as he walked over to me.
"I surrender, you can have me" I said looking down. Out of the corner of my eye I saw Connor tense up and Finn holding him back. I moved my hands down to my sides and that gave them the go ahead. They ran in separate directions. I made a quick prayer hoping they would find Nathan and bring him back safe. Lucas grabbed my hands and picked me up. He held me bridal style, and sat me on his knee, as he sat down on his throne.
