Chereads / Her Deadly Secret / Chapter 2 - Chapter One

Chapter 2 - Chapter One

I can't remember anything. I only remember the morning of the accident. The doctors think it could be amnesia. I remember everything of that morning but when I remember the accident, it comes up blank. The doctors say not to think about it too much because then the memories will never come back if I stress my brain. I remember my mother and her beautiful voice. She was my inspiration and source of happiness. I wish she was still alive. And my father is still missing.

"Violet?"

"Huh?"I asked, looking at my college professor.

"I asked you a question"

"Sorry um what's your name again?"

"Mrs. Sawyer"

"Right I'm sorry"

"Violet do you even remember anything from last week?"

"No I don't even remember who any of these people are"

Mrs. Sawyer looked at me like a ghost. I honestly don't remember who anyone is. That's the bad part. Everything is blank. Nothing. I can hardly remember my life before the accident. I only know my name and my parents. How pathetic is that. I feel so helpless, just miserable. The administration at school decided to keep me out because I just can't remember anyone or anything. What a way to rub salt in my wounds. Now that I'm not in school what am I supposed to do? I blame my father for everything. His drinking caused the accident that killed my mother and me losing my memory let alone my injuries. He was a cop. Maybe a drunk one but still. He should know not to drink and drive.

I decided to go on a walk, because being in Leanne and Sage's room was making me sick seeing all those pictures, memories and not remembering any of them. I wasn't watching where I was going and bumped into someone.

"Sorry"

"Violet?" asked someone, he looked awfully familiar.

"Yes?" I asked him, feeling uncomfortable.

"It's me, Clark " He had blonde hair and blue eyes. Great smile but something about him put me on edge. He gave off a very bad vibe. His name felt familiar but I couldn't remember.

"Uh, okay and?"

"You don't remember me?"

"Sorry no" like I remember anyone nowadays.

"Oh my , you were the girl who lost her memory in that really bad car accident" Clark rambled, I winced at the word accident.

"Uh yeah"

"I'm sorry let me start over. Hi I'm Clark"

"Violet. But of course you knew that"

"We grew up together" He suddenly blurted out loud. Clark had piqued my interests. I suddenly wanted to know everything I could about my childhood from this man. If he could give me some information on my childhood, I hope it will trigger something from the accident. I also need to be weary, I'm at a vulnerable point right now. I always feel on edge nowadays.

"Okay call me and we can have coffee" I told him, handing him my number. I probably shouldn't have given him my number, but I have to know more about myself. I can't keep being in the dark. I just feel like I'm missing something. Something big.

"Okay thanks" Clark continued on down the street, I went back to Sage and Leanne.
