Chapter 15 - The forest of Grogudal

Njuko is overcome with his stamina being immediately drained. He is feeling dizzy when a large figure enters the room from behind the pedistal. The man has dark lava like orange hair. Skin of bronze and cladd in amber plate armor from head to toe. His wide nose has a scar across. "Who dares enter the vault of Gildari, speak or I will smite you where you stand." The voice came from the man's chest, the authority enveloping every word. He leans against the pedistal using it to get a better look at Njuko.

"Great one, I am a simply hunter." Njuko didn't really have anything else he doesn't think like Dinga who would probably list ever title his mother's holds as his own in an attempt to gain a foothold.

"No simply hunter could make it past all my guards and traps. So one more time. What do you want?" The man is surrounded by light moving to a chair that formed out of the that light.

Njuko replied honsetly, "Great one, humbly I didn't come across any guards or traps of any kind. The entire structure is in ruins." Njuko looks at the man as he speak, the shimmering of his armor a marvel to look at.

"Ruins you say..." three beams of light wrap around Njuko, he can't move or use any magic..." I will let you live, because you haven't taken anything from my vault." A portal with seven colors pulls at Njuko.

Temple Gaurdian Falcon Farstrider, walks in fling to one knee a huge pool of blood on her shoulder pads. "Why would you let him go my lord?"

"Someone is playing me girl, explain to me how that boy cleared all the obstacles in place without setting off any alarms. Think a little deeper my child ask yourself, why Three of our temples were raided and the only things taken are the elementals used to power the magical arrays." The light dismantles itself the figure of the man vanishing leaving a body seating naked on the chair.

Falcon could not answer at all, 'it is true that we haven't really suffered any great loss and the attack on the second temple was tough only because the conduit was so stubborn and waited for a Gaurdian to replace the energy system. If there is someone plotting how are we going to find out.' Falcon thoughts travel she thinking as much as she can the awkward silence carries for a while Falcon is in full thought.

"At least bring me a cloak to cover myself!" The voice that had gone higher but still carried authority broke her out of her stuper.

"Right away high Magistrate, forgive me..." Falcon trails off. The high Magistrate eye look at where the portal had just vanished after removing the conduit. She shakes her head and pull a book called 'Orijin: a study of elemental development. The only one they had is with the boy now but she can't do anything about.

Njuko appears on a mountain the city is just out of view. The only back is the work, through the forest. He starts and is attacked by everything. The fights were not particularly challenging the creature were fell left and right. The path home become littered with bodies. By the time he got home he is a level ten. His mission updated telling him to go to the hunter test.

The forest is filled with tall trees, as Njuko slips in. A flower had tried to dust him with pollin. He is smiled this reminded him home. The pollin attract gaint bees. The buzzing is loud and disorienting. Njuko throws a punch, the snap is fast and swung well but the bee is able to dodge. Njuko struggles for a long while only after being pierced by the bee stringer did he shoot at a distance. The bee finally fell. Njuko was taking a chance to caught his breath and think because of his early success he had not really been using the range available in all his attacks.

Njuko also fell back in his hunting skills, whenever he comes across a monster he would fight at first it was to see if he could learn anything else but as he walked deeper into the Forest it became necessary. The wood mole was one such example. After discovering the creature it unleashed a weird move that made the tree it lives in moves.

The branches where weakly enchanted but because he focused on the tree not the mole in it, it took him over ten mintues to beat the mole and all he got for that was an elemental shard. The whole forest then moved closer the canopy felt darker and real deadly hunters stalked him. A huge dog like thing had attacked the bestiary called it a Kodiak. He had never seen anything like it. It raw strength was thrilling until it cut into his chest throwing him across the forest floor through one tree. Lucky for him it seems even he feels every scratch, cut and broken bone the Seed world rules make it he can fight properly as long as he has life and is not under status effects.

Which he found he has very little defense for, the reason he kept going is Bilat. After the Kodiak which nearly killed him he had decided to ask her for the last time. He has even put off his own life for about a year waiting for her and he feels it's unjust. Not the waiting the fact she never tries to make it clear if it's him or Mduju or duty. Over the years it had been him but he found her with Mduju and that caused the fight that lead to Njuko and Mduju friendship. They had known each other long before that but it was only after having the fight did they grow as close as brothers.

Njuko dodges out of the way, a Pelari is attacking and its deadly. His health is halfeay gone again already and has been running through the Forest hiding as best as he could. The Pelari is a type of stormfiend. Not only are stormfiends attartced to his elemental they are also immune to his element. In the bestiary stormfiends are a class of monster and many of them. Njuko also started to think of them as monster. Trekking through roots that trip you up when you trying to avoid a Pelari is mind numbing. To have to analyze an unknown environment. Avoid deadly plants and fight a monster that is immune to your only form of attack terrifying. The

Pelari's claws made close combat an impossibility.

Njuko thou has that hope in Bilat, mostly its how when the Pelari had him by the neck in its Jaws. He was able to punch it in the soft tissue by its neck crushing the pipe. Even more soul crushing he laid there bleeding for a thirty seconds before the bleeding effect stopped. In that time he could not breath because the Pelari had bitten his neck he sat there in a pool of blood thinking he was going to die. The thought of how disappointed his father would after all this trip was authorized by him for the sole intention of helping Njuko process his emotions with Bilat. A lot of life revolved around decisions she made.

He knows he loves her but he needs her to show him she does too and a little truth will also help. The worst part came after the attack the healing that clears all the scars stealing evidence of the shit and muk he has been going through for her, this has all been for so he can make her see. Otherwise he would have just walked around its too late now he is deep in the forest and it's deadly. A random vine had snared him and broken his ankle. Njuko's lightning strike caused Dryak to burst into flames. The smoke was poisonous and dissolved his one lung. He had to drag himself through the mud filled with all kinds of bugs and leeches to find a way out.

Njuko has been uneasy her deliberate decision to keep things from him and has put him here at the very least he should ask for the plan. In his mind it is his wiggle around his demand if she won't chose she can at least tell him the plan.

Njuko relaxed a little, thinking it over then was bitten by a dung bettle. The particular venom is called pathway. This is because this dung bettle is doctor of the roads. People have used it venom for years to travel through themselves and find answers. Forward isn't always a linear path after all.

The emotional toll of traveling in that state, stressed him. He saw versions were Bilat is heartless and has been using him. This worst fears about her coming true, more often than not they all turned bad every version he travelled to he cried. In the last he cried with her in his arm after he plunged a dagger through her.

Ọya's sending had been muddled by pathway even futher melting her memories into his path. The hordes of storm armies coming, the destruction of everything even the world outside the Seed world had disturbed him the most.

The world shattered this time, breaking and removing pieces known twisting them the meet the new criteria. To the people and beast it felt like a strong shiver and a strange feeling you have forgotten something.

Njuko lifts up the body of the bettle throwing it to wherever the fuck he is not. Continuing on his path his head pounding. Then a minute later he is back to normal and like nothing even happened. He felt dismayed at the thought that something keeps bringing him Back just see if he will die this time.

The forest continues providing bone breaking enemies, with heart chilling abilities that he keeps scraping through by the skin of his teeth. His inventory which is now directly linked to him and is affected by his stats. Is almost full of all manner of common items with over fifty monsters dead one should at least of gotten something better. His level is to nine and final obstacles when sees the forest coming to an end is the Mimictree a flower so big and so beautiful that when he spotted it he was pulled into it.

Bilat is sitting in a blue almost sheer gown. She is eating purple grapes and says "Come to bed my king." Njuko is overcome with joy, a strange sending bounced off the strong sense of happiness. He has seen hmthia before. He is in the Floating Palace and she is in the queens bed and he is king. This is his dream... A boy and girl run into the room and wait in the room of anticipation. A small holding area that is used by people who barge into the royal chamber only after waiting behind that screen can one be enter the room proper. It mainly used so that a message can be delivered without disturbing the king or queen.

Njuko calls them over immediately, his skin is pleasent it only looks like it has wounds all over. Strange boils all over him that don't even phase him. One of his Childern looks more like Mduju than him. His nightmare, he asks her... The truth is but the belated announcement of an earlier known truth. He destroys the room which shatters droping him in the forest at the edge of the exit. Behind the shattered remains of Mimictree

Njuko picks himself his wounds already healing, walking towards his dream, his hope... "Bilat I'm coming."
