Chapter 18 - A Dashing Man

No one would be able to reject Alliana's beauty if she wished to seduce them, even if that man was older than her by a few decades, he would indisputably succumb to her charms.

Did it not happen a few times before?

It was probably during the eighth time when her mother tried to remarry with a perverted bastard. That scum bastard tried to have a go on her while dating her mother.

Alliana was so disgusted by that man that she even celebrated when that man died.

So if this new lover of her mother had the same perverted mind like that scum, it was better to learn of it now so they could warn their mother.

However, looking from above, this man seemed a lot younger?

Or were the lights so dim that she could not see his looks clearly?

Javier looked up.

A woman in her nightgown was leaning on the railings.

Her long black hair was flowing down on her shoulders freely. From below, he could barely see her long legs and a pair of fluffy home sandals.

Who was this woman?

She called him… 'father'?

Hold on.

Javier could not see her entire features due to the dim lighting. But the lights around the staircase showed enough to figure out that this woman was surely in her legal age.

"Are you..." Javier opened his mouth.

What was his brother's fiance's name again?

Anna? Anne? Annie?

"Are you...Ann's...?"

Alliana raised her brow. Even the man's voice was deep and seemed young.

She looked at him closely. The candle lights from the staircase were illuminating his handsome top-side profile. His jaw and his tall nose were masculine and filled with charm. His eyes reflecting the candle lights seemed to be on warm fire.

He looked so....dashing.

And young.

"How old are you… father?"

Javier frowned.

This woman did not tell her who she was.

"I don't know why you keep calling me father. I am here doing my brother's errand."

Was this woman perhaps his brother's fiancée's sister?

Alliana began to step down the stairs. Her dark eyes never left the man's figure. Her lidded gaze slowly scanned the man.

The more their distance became closer, the more she could see how dashing the man was.

He was tall. His shoulders were broad. His dark hair was short but it suited his gorgeous face well. His deep set eyes that were confused and cautious were the ones that made Alliana's heart pump with anticipation.

Such a great feast.

Tap.

She finally arrived on the last flight of steps.

Finally seeing the woman's figure, Javier's frown deepened.

Why does this woman wear so thin, revealing too much skin on this cold night?

Javier averted his gaze to the side. It would be impolite to stare too much.

He did not see it clearly, but the woman was wearing dark blue lingerie that made her skin look translucent. In that short glance, he could see that she had a great figure.

Somehow, the scented candles and the slightly cold air of the night made this situation seem dangerous.

Javier stepped back.

"May I ask who's the lady I am meeting?"

Alliana tilted her head. Her cascading hair flowed with her movements.

She was still appreciating delectably handsome appearance of the man.

"The lady you are meeting is in front of you. Why are you looking to the side?"

Javier's eyes were still on the side. "It is impolite to stare, especially if the lady does not wear any proper clothing."

Alliana lifted up the skirt of her lingerie, exposing more of the white skin, teasing the man more.

"I am wearing clothes though. Can't you see?"

Javier knew what she was doing, since he could still see her in his peripheral vision.

He closed his eyes in annoyance.

What was the matter with this woman? If it was another man, she would be in trouble right now.

Javier did not recognize the woman in front of him since he was not able to stare at her right on the face.

Javier opened his eyes again. He sighed and turned his back on her. "I came with gifts as an errand for my brother. The gifts are for my three nieces. Please send my regards to them. Excuse me for bothering you tonight."

He concluded that this woman might be his future nieces' aunt.

A hand suddenly stopped him from leaving.

Javier looked at the pale hand that held the hem of his jacket. Subconsciously, he turned around.

And it was a big mistake.
