The car arrived at the Chu mansion.
Alliana climbed off the car and opened the passenger door. As soon as Angel and the boy came out, she immediately separated them.
Angel: "..."
Alliana glared at the boy who tried to shrink his existence as much as possible. She narrowed her beautiful phoenix eyes at him. "Let's make things clear. Even though I agreed to let you stay here for today, it does not mean that I trust you. You still have to mind what you did to my sister and the trouble you caused today."
The boy nodded timidly. "I-I will, big sister. T-thank you for allowing me t-to stay here."
Alliana's expression turned worse when she heard the boy's stuttering.
How can someone look so weak and incapable? Is this person even a man?
This kind of person should not be in her younger sister's circle of friends! Or else, this kind of personality would rub on her excellent sister!
"Angel! Ariana!"
A sweet yet sorrowful voice interrupted Alliana from grinding the boy to mush.
The three girls turned towards their mother who was running towards them.
Their mother, Annie Chu, ran to them with tears in her eyes, like pear blossoms under the rain.
"Mother, slow down," Ariana reminded as she welcomed Annie's soft body.
Annie hugged Ariana and Angel tightly.
"Where did the two of you go? When I heard that you and Angel were missing, I felt as if the world crumbled down. Do not go missing like that on me." Annie's beautiful face was wet with tears.
Ariana comforted her soft and fragile, and rather dramatic, mother. "I am sorry, mother. Something happened on the way. You do not have to worry, we are all fine now."
She then glared silently at Alliana.
'Why do you have to worry our mother like this? You know how weak-hearted she is!'
Alliana glared back.
'Whose fault is that? If you two contacted me sooner, I would not need to call our mother!'
Angel's expressionless face finally had some expression. She hugged her mother back and comforted her as well.
"It will not happen again, mother. Please do not cry."
George Tan who came running after Annie saw this scene. He felt distressed for his beloved. He gently patted Annie's back.
"Annie, let's get your children inside first. They must have been tired."
Annie let go of her two daughters. She wiped her tears in a graceful manner.
A beauty was truly a beauty even when crying.
Their beautiful mother looked like a fragile princess who wept beautifully and needed everyone's protection.
Annie smiled shyly. "I apologize, I made you see something unsightly. Come here, my dears, get inside. I will let the maids prepare the dishes that you all like. Today should be lively since it is the day you will get to know your future father."
George Tan smiled at the three beautiful daughters of his fiancée. He had seen their pictures from Annie, but the photos did not do them justice. They have inherited Annie's beauty and their biological father's best features.
These lovely ladies would be his future stepdaughters. He could not help but dote on them.
From now, he had to treat them well.
His brown hair and gentle brown eyes looked warm. Even though he was in his mid-forties, he still looked like a handsome bachelor with a physically fit appearance, the type who could attract all kinds of women with his mature charm.
Against George Tan's sincere smile, the three ladies kept a poker face.
Alliana and her two sisters did not speak.
They did not expect to meet him today.
"..."
There was an awkward silence in the air.
The youngest Angel looked away from George Tan's blinding smile. She pulled the boy from the back to the front and changed the topic.
"Mother, my classmate will be staying here for today. Can he join us for lunch as well?"
Alliana whose attention was on George Tan forgot the man's existence instantly and turned to Angel with a dumbfounded face. Her beautiful phoenix eyes were wide.
Angel was inviting a stranger to join their family gathering?!
She already did not like the idea that there was a man named George Tan who would join them at their dining table, but there was another one too?!
