The day after Williams birthday he takes the guys to the weapons bunker to get what they need. They bring back ten of the Sun cannons. They grabbed two cases of the light balls he built. William has them grab all of the hand guns and rifles. He grabs half the supply of bullets for all guns. He also grabs the light bracelets he was working on before we were chased from our home. After they bring it all back Steve looks through everything. He is really interested in the light cannons and light balls. Since it is dusk we shows everyone what they can do. As he fires the cannon we hear a scream. Steve and some of the guards go check it out.
They come back ten minutes later and tell us they found a pile of ash about a hundred yards off to the north on the other side of the fences.
William smiles and says," that's one scout that won't come back. The range on one of these will cover about half the pack grounds."
Just then a loud alarm starts going off. William and the guys run into the shed. They come back out with an iPad and hand it to Steve. As we watch we see a group of ten vampires running from the border to the south. We see one of them holding what's left of hit right arm. William and the guys are giving each other high fives and slapping each other on the back. As I look closer at the screen I realize that was the weak spot I showed them in the beginning. I go over and give each of them a hug as Steve and the rest of the people gathered watches me.
"What was that about?" Arron asks.
"First off thank you Arron for not getting to upset. Second that was because the area on the screen is where that tree used to be. If you remember I gave the drawing to the boys and told them that was our weakest spot in the perimeter defense system. They all did a nice job fixing that weak spot don't you think?. It also shows that Stacy has not cared to listen in when we talk to the pack about perimeter defense. She is going off what she knew before the boys started working. So in order to get a jump on this attack our first line of defense will be all of the weak spots you found William. Since your better at the strategy side of things you work it out. Now that we know where they are going to strike first do we have enough weapons for it?"
"Yes Luna we have enough weapons. The guys and I will work out battle strategy a little later. Would you like an update when we are done?"
"Why yes thank you. That would be helpful."
Then everyone watching starts laughing at us. After that they start wandering off. Steve comes over and hugs me then gives William a high five. "Dude that was funny. You know she is right. You are good with strategy I think we will put you in charge of all battle strategy from now on. You are the general I will send the warriors to you. But I have to ask, you made these weapons right do you sell them? I think other packs might like them."
William looks at me and starts laughing. Then he looks back at Steve and says," Alpha I believe yours is the only pack I don't sell to. Mainly because I didn't have any way to contact you and apparently you don't like to serf the net. How do think we make our money?"
"Okay, Okay I get it. You do some nice work. Once you guys have things figured out let us know okay. Oh William did you ever get the skynet finished?"
"Oh yes that is my best creation yet. I'm sure you will see it in action in a few days."
Everyone smiles in anticipation and nods their heads then after that we split up and head to our own places. Steve kisses me and heads toward his office. First I watch as my brother and Summer head to their place. Then I watch as the Beta, Delta, And Gamma head off to their own places. All I can do is pray to the goddess that we come through this with minimal to no casualties. After I go into the pack house I go to the game room. I am wired and need to distress somehow so I put in the most violent zombie game we have and I start killing things. My three bodyguards watch silently as I destroy things. The two elves talk to each other about how violent I truly could be and how they could benefit from the things they could get me to do. How they could take over this pack and rebuild their kingdom. As Derrick listens he opens to the Alpha so he can hear as well. I can also hear because I am connect to the Alpha at all times. As I listen to the things they say I get pissed. They want me to hurt my pack so they can regain their kingdom. I call the other two elves to the pack house as Steve decides to call the guys to the pack house. He has them come in through the kitchen as William and Summer come through the front door. They continue talking about their plans as everyone enters. I am so pissed I can't handle it anymore. As everyone enters the game room I get up and turn to them. Everyone but them see me. They are so lost in their conversation as to how they will get me to rebuild the elf kingdom they don't notice when I move in front of them. All I can think are these people are supposed to be here to help train and protect me and my brother but all they can think is how do I serve them. My pack doesn't even do that. I get directly in front of them. Not even knowing what I am doing I put my hand on both of their foreheads and take their knowledge from them. I learn about the war that destroyed the kingdom I learned how to do the protection spells I wanted. I learned about how truly awful they actually were. Finally after I get everything I need from them then I send them away. In my mind I see a desert and I can only assume that is where I sent them. I look at the last two elves and say," I will not be used by anyone. Our kingdom was destroyed because some elves thought they were better than others. My family among others gave their lives to protect the ones they loved. I will not dishonor their memory and sacrifice by destroying others the way they were destroyed. If you can't handle that I release you now. If you want to stay it will be up to you. But know this you will not get special treatment from me. You will be members of this pack or you will leave, either way it's up to you. Now I have a game to get back to."
Then I go back to killing the zombies. Everyone goes outside to talk about what I just did. I don't care what they think I will not be used by anyone to get what they want. I end up saving my game and going to bed before they finish their conversation.
