As always I get up at four in the morning. I take a quick shower then I go to Steve's closet to grab one of his shirts when I notice all of my clothes hanging on the other side of the closet. I smile wondering when he moved my things. So I got dressed and ran down stairs to start making the cake for Williams birthday. I had set out everything I would need yesterday so I would be all ready to go.
When I got downstairs Cassie was already up. "Good morning Luna, how are you this morning?"
"Good morning Cassie, I'm actually feeling pretty good today. One of my dream/visions have passed and no one has gotten hurt that are important to me. So I call that a win. Now I am going to start Williams cake. It should only take a few hours. So what's on the menu for breakfast?"
" I thought we would celebrate a little. I was planning on stuffed waffles with potatoes, eggs, sausage and bacon."
"That sounds wonderful. I can honestly say I have never had or made stuffed waffles. I can't wait to try them. What are you stuffing them with?"
"Well first off my dear Luna I would be happy to teach you how to make then when your not busy. Second half with be sweet and half will be savory. Get ready for a treat."
We watch each other work for a while. She does all the easy stuff first. Once my five cakes are cooling I watch as she starts making the waffles. She has a special griddle that leaves an open space in the middle of the waffle. For the savory ones she does a meat and cheese stuffing and for the sweet stuffed she used mixed fruit. After watching for about fifteen minutes she asks me to help her. I get all excited and come over. She has me do the fruit stuffed ones to start because more people like those. Then I get to do the savory ones. It is so cool.
Once we are done and get everything set out I reach out to Summer and tell her about breakfast. She runs over and fixes two plates than runs back. At the door she turns to us and winks. Then she's gone. We look at each other and start laughing.
"I guess that's one way of keeping him distracted today." Cassie says.
Then we start laughing again.
Steve comes downstairs with elder Anderson and asks us what's so funny. When we are finally able to stop laughing we tell them about Summer and grabbing breakfast. By the end they start laughing as well.
Once everyone calms down we get the breakfast set out buffet style and call everyone to breakfast. As the four of us sit down to eat the others come in. We are talking for a while when I get hit by an explosion picture. I grab my tablet and start drawing. As they watch, I start shaking my head because I realize the war with the vampires isn't strictly with them. Steve calls the group in and they all watch. While I draw I am muttering to myself. "Damn It Goddess why, Well shit It seems Stacy left with Elder Wilson and they are causing the war. Stacy thinks she knows where the weak spots still are have to ask William and the guys. Have less then a week. Big issues with mobilization and control. Get everyone in bunkers. Lock down hospital. Can fit plenty of people in the basement. Must learn Protection spell fast. Send William and the guys to the Armory for the sun weapons. Need to get more blankets. Stacy wants the blankets. Don't know why not going to work."
Once I stop there are twelve pages on the table. While I was drawing the four guardians join the group. Everyone is silent for a moment then I look up and realize everyone is here. I look at Steve and say," I'm sorry. It's not going to go well."
He comes around the table and hugs me to him. "Sweetheart it's not your fault she chose the wrong side. She saw you change last night she still didn't like you. We can't help it when she makes the wrong choices."
"He is right my child, Stacy saw you change last night. She is jealous of your hold on the pack. They have liked you from the beginning. I'm the one who is sorry my daughter is a bitch. Like Steve said she chose her side, if she falls she falls. Even the Luna can't save everyone."
Then Tiffany gives me a hug than asks for complete details of what I saw. So I told them. Then I looked at the four guardians and told them I need to learn the protection spells that they know. The four guys told us about the border and all of the new little things they have done to it. Steve called William and Summer over and he gave other details about the sky gate that he built. I showed him the pictures and he agreed we needed the sun weapons. So they all agreed to get those tomorrow.
Then I send him back to his place so I can finish his cake. One hour later I have a nasty looking monster sitting on the counter. After I finished the cake I start doing the marinade for the meat. Then Cassie and I do the salads and other desert items. By three we start the barbecue grills. By four we call everyone to the square.
As everyone comes over Steve and I go to his office to get Williams birthday gifts. We take them out and put them on the table. By five the cooking is done and I link Summer to bring William out. When they come out we all yell happy birthday. Then he opens his gifts. He loves everything. Soon he gets into arguments with the guys on who can kill who so I walk up and say" Boy's do we really have to do this again? You know I can beat you all. Now let's eat shall we."
Everyone starts laughing because a lot of them were in the room when I proved my point before. Then we all got food. Once everyone was done eating we brought out the cake.
William smiled so much. He starts pulling on Summers arm to show it off. I hand him the knife asking," Would you like to kill it?"
He rolls up to it and cuts off an arm. Everyone starts clapping and cheering. Then someone asks what it is and William goes into a long drawn out explanation about how it's from final fantasy. He tells them how it's a lab born monster and how to kill it. All in all everyone had a great time.
