Chapter Seven
There was an old man sitting by the window of the Cloudstone Café and restaurant he was sipping on some mint orange pekoe tea, the old man had glances towards the door and he saw his most favorite granddaughter Ranko Stoneray "My baby girl come sit with me the tea's and coffees are great here" Ranko then had a bright smile gleaming around the area as she walks towards the old man, she had hugged him and sat across from him "Hi papa, how are you?"
The old man then smiled "I'm just fine, did Alastair tell you that you had to do some carpentry for the Cloudstone tribe?" Ranko then had a puzzled look on her face "Um…I think so"
The old man laughs "you forgotten haven't you, anyways, I have some plans for the bridges and some out posts" Ranko then nods and smiled "I'll be happy to help out papa, well I shall get started and we can catch up, about my adventure around the land" The old man chuckles and smiled back "that's my girl, thank you so much to come too and help us out, even when you had your journey to attend too, I'll see you later"
After Ranko was done visiting her grandpa she then got up heading towards Mori's work shop "hey Mori can I get some snacks before I go and start on the bridges?" Mori then smiled and had a light blush "Yeah for sure Ranko, just a moment"
Mori was at the back getting some snack's that Ranko had liked so much as in: chocolate dip strawberries, some finger sandwiches and a couple of water bottles he then turns to her and smirks "this is on me Ranko, and is their anything else that you would like?" Ranko then smiled "how about a kiss on the lips Mori?" Mori then turns red, Mori was so flustered that he wasn't able to speak right,
Ranko then had blushed "Mori I was kidding I need your help about these maps, I'm not so good at maps" Mori then sighed and then calmed his self "Ranko you really had me going, but anyways I can assist you, I'm done work here now" Ranko then smiled "okay I'll wait outside for you Mori" Ranko had walked out the Café as she did,

Mori then had a soft sigh "I wonder if she really did want a kiss?" mori thought to himself, suddenly his auntie came towards him and smiled "Was that your girlfriend Mori? She is so beautiful"
Mori then turns red "Mom quit that; we are just friends is all"
even though that Mori call's his auntie his mom, was because she had raised him since birth, his mother didn't really want nothing to do with him and only raised Gabriel since he was, the heir of the leadership for the Cloudstone tribe, but anyways His auntie laughs "well don't keep her waiting, it's rude to keep a lady waiting" Mori then runs out "okay see ya later mom"
Ranko was looking towards a fountain, as mori then walk to her "Hey Ranko are you ready to go now?" Ranko then stares at Mori then smiled "yes, and here are the maps"
Mori then takes a look at the maps, while he looks over them, he then nods" These are the forbid place that they want you to make the bridges and out post, these are the perfect spots as well, I'll take you to the first one then we can start the work"
Ranko then nods "that sounds good" mori then leads her the way "just follow me and let me hold your bags for you" Ranko hands him her bags of goodies that he had gave her, and followed Mori "so mori could you tell me what's been going on?"
Mori then looks at her then sighed "there are some beings hunting down tribal people and also people that are looking for people with special abilities to use them as weapons, as well as taking our land"
Ranko then nods "that's no good, I'll try and be fast and make these bridges right away and out post" Mori then smiled and nods "I'll help, if you don't mind" Ranko then crossed her arms "yeah you can help me Mori, I would love that"
Later on, that day

Mori and Ranko were working on making a trail towards the forbid area where Ranko had to build a bridge, they were getting closer and closer to their destination Mori then looks over at Ranko then blushed glancing at her soft lips,
Ranko then wipe the sweat off her face and lean back on a tree staring at Mori "we should reach the area you're taking me, by noon I believe" Mori then shook his head then smiled nervously then looks at her black cloak "I've been meaning to ask when did you get a black cloak? It looks like silver's cloak" Ranko then looks over her shoulder "My clothes burnt off while I shapeshift into a bird to come over your village sooner then later" Mori then glared at her "Did he see you?" Ranko then glances at Mori then crossed her arms "No, Well. I hope not he turn away right away and I had run away into the bush"
Mori then scoffs then walks away from her "well I'm heading back home I'll possibly not be back, so enjoy your work" Ranko then gave a stern look towards Mori "Mori its not what you think!" Mori then glance at Ranko "good bye"
Ranko then sighed "what the hell just happen? I was being honest" Ranko thought to her self while she continued working
Meanwhile
Alastair then yelled at Silver "well did you see her?" Silver then sighed "of course not I turn away just in time, so if this isn't about the plan of the war then that's that, don't talk to me and let me rest up, Shape shifting drains a lot out of me"
Mori then barges in Silvers room and raised his Voice "Silver you garbage picker why didn't you pack your spare clothes, you know its Ranko's first time shapeshifting there are" be fore mori could say anything he then seen Alastair crossing his arms "oh sir Alastair?"
Silver then shrugs and lean on the wall "what you too? I was rushing since we" Alastair then clears his voice then sighed "Okay silver get your rest, I'm sorry about this" Alastair then grabs mori by the sleeve and left Silvers room Mori was staring at Alastair as he did

Mori then clears his voice "I didn't know you were scolding silver I'm sorry sir" Alastair then looks over at Mori "don't worry about it mori, so you came to scold him as well?" Mori nods "well yes I sort of left mad, while I was helping Ranko, she must be cold, so I should be heading back with some more better clothes then that cloak she has on" Alastair then pats mori's shoulder "that's a good future brother-in-law, I like that, thank you for keeping Ranko for me"
Mori then smirks at him with a light blush and ran off the other direction Alastair then sighed and walks towards his master dorm he had walked in shutting the door beside him he then glances around then sat on a couch "you shouldn't be hiding in my room Damon, come on out"
Damon the scoffs and walks towards him from the closet "how'd you know it was me?" Alastair then puts out some beer beside him from the night stand "because you have a bad habit of coming from the window and not shutting it" Damon then sighed "well that gave me away pretty darn good"
Damon sat across from him staring at his scar "so you end up having a scar from the hart clan?" Alastair sighed and hands him a beer "Why yes, but tell me why you came back?" Damon then gave a puzzled look "okay silver said I had to also come over this way" Alastair then had a shot of his beer "Silver? Well, no I only told him to get Ranko to come do some bridges and out post that my grandpa had planned" Damon then opens his beer and had a shot "so I came all the way over here for nothing?" Alastair then sighed "no not for nothing, but I do need you to tell me about my sister's finding on her clan and her tribe" Damon then sighed "well we know that the veil clan was the most feared of all our nations and well they did have the beaver tribe under their thumb so they were servants for the veil clan, but…there is something I really need to tell you, it's about Vash Hart"
Alastair then glance at him "What about Vash Hart?" Damon then had another shot of his beer "his been traveling with me and Ranko since we had left, I ask him why he was following Ranko" Alastair then took a shot of his beer as Damon continued to speak "Vash said she promised him a first taste of her blood for helping her get the info she had needed to find her family," Alastair then glared at Damon "are you saying that Vash Hart is hanging around My sister?" Damon then sighed "yes, but he kept his distant since I've been around Ranko" Alastair then had his last shot of his beer "well it's a good thing Silver told you to come back with them, I don't fully trust that guy even though he is helping Ranko as well, and another thing I ask your dad if you really slept with your maid, why did you lie?"

Damon then smiled "so I'll be able to help Ranko, plus she wouldn't be so lonely since she is best friends with my clingy brother Eskai" Alastair then smiled "yeah that's right I had to give Eskai one of Ranko's stuff plushie to him to stop him from sobbing all day" Damon then laughs "my poor clingy brother."
Mean while
Ranko was at her destination she was hulling in the lumber she had needed and she had all her tools in place and all the energy for her special abilities, to help her within the next 2 weeks.
The place she was working at was very beautiful, there was a lake below the cliff that was hidden be hide very tall pine trees and oak trees, no one can see the cliff where the bridge will be build at, Ranko had sat on a stump and drink her water enjoying the view then she got up to realized,
that she could see her village just from the cliff "how is that possible? It takes three to four days just to travel to my village to the Cloudstone village" Ranko had thought to herself then she took out her maps and a paper fell out,
It was a letter from her grandfather so Ranko had pick it up and open it to read it,
It had said "My little girl if you are wondering why you could see our village is so very close, and I know it take about three to four days just to travel to each village well this is a cliff that has a special portal, that can get us to safety faster than ever the places you will be building these bridges will have these portal's, I love you and care take, love grandpa." Ranko then sighed "that's so cool" Eskai, mori and silver had look over her then Eskai sighed "What's so cool Ranko?"
Ranko then jolt up looking over at the guys "Oh wow, hello" Mori then sighed and hands Ranko a bag of clothes "here Ranko these will be a lot better to use on the job then using that cloak as a dress" Silver then smiled "I'm sorry for being so thoughtless I should have brought some spare clothes before I had to go find you" Ranko then takes the bag and turns arounds "Um thank you" Eskai then walks beside her "what's the matter are you okay Ranko?" Mori then sighed and then crossed his arms "Ranko I'm not mad at you, it was silver I was mad at" Silver then looks over at Mori "wait what?" silver thought as Mori then looks down "Ranko then peeks at Mori "well that's nice to know, for while there I thought you were mad at me"

Eskai then sneers at Mori then sighed well you go in the bush and get dress while I make sure these horn dogs don't look" Silver then had a tense voice "did you just call me a dog?"
Mori then turns red "I'm not that type of a guy, Eskai!" Ranko then smiled and had a chuckled as she walks away from them "well I'll be right back" silver then looks around "you know Ranko is pretty fast at working I wonder how fast will it take to make a bridge eh?" Eskai then snickers "well Ranko will probably be done within the next two weeks for this bridge" Mori then widen his eyes "I don't believe you" Silver then cross his arms "yeah, making bridges takes about a few months are so"
After the guys were talking away Ranko had looked in the bag that mori had given her there was a baggy girly joggers that were grey and a tank top that was black, Ranko had smiled and then see underwear and bra she then turns red thinking to her self "did mori really get these nice clothes for me?" she then puts them on quickly then sighed "they fit perfectly" Ranko then walks toward the guys "hey guys I'm done" Mori then looks over her then he blushed "well I'm glad you fit them, I asked my mom to pick them out for you" Eskai then smiled "that was nice of her" Silver then blushed then smiled "so Ranko you need our help with building?" Ranko then nods "No I can do the building, but I do need a navigator for these map I have, I don't know how to read maps"
Eskai then sighed "So this is the job for mori" Silver then sat down well I'm still going to stick around, I really want to know how can Ranko finish in just two weeks, like I don't really believe that" Mori then sighed sitting next to silver "same here, but by tat time We can do our training here while Ranko does her work" Ranko then scoffs "well I'll show you and prove you guys wrong beside I do inherit some of the beaver tribes blood in me as well as the veil clan"
Eskai smiled well I'll be heading back I have to go see sir Alastair at the moment" Mori then nods "well see you later Eskai" Silver then looks over the cliff "its pretty steep here eh?"
Ranko then sighed "well time to get to work for me"
Ranko then sat down near the cliff look down seeing a good area where the bridge show met then her aroura rosed up flaring into an orange color all of her supplies and lumber began to move on its own and there it was two feet of the bridge had already been done "still think this bridge will take a few months now silver and mori?" Silver had widened his eyes and pushed his glasses up "whoa, I was not expecting that"

Mori then looks at the bridge with amazement "wow" they were both speechless as Ranko continued to work her way down the style she had made for the bridge had steps for each level of the bridge she had made, she then fell back from exhaustion and she had look up into the sky, the bridge was six feet way from the cliff and it was very well hidden
Mori then ran towards her with a bag of food and water "hey Ranko are you ok? Don't over work yourself" Ranko then wipes the sweat off her face then sat up "don't worry mori I'll be just fine" Mori then sat beside her handing her the bag "today I had made deep fried fish with a side of rice and beans" Ranko then smiled "Wow I love it"
Ranko had taken the bag from Mori and began to eat the food that Mori had cook for her "I didn't know you can cook" Silver was examining the bridge and sat next to them with amazement "your getting interesting every time I get a chance to spend time with you" Ranko then nods "Same here Mori is the best"
Ranko didn't realized that Silver was talking about her and Mori and silver gave a disturbed look at each other then they both cringed and laughed Ranko was sips her water "what's so funny?" Mori then sighed and smiled at Ranko "silver was talking about you, not me" Silver then laughs then calms down "yeah Ranko" Ranko then turns red then smiled with embarrassment "oh my bad"
Suddenly a wolf came running towards then the wolf then swiftly changes into a human "Hey guys I heard that Ranko was back" Ranko then smiled at Ace "how are you Ace?"
Ace then smiled and sat with them "well Eskai told me that Silver and mori where going to train while you work on the bridges, so I wanted to join the training on my abilities" Ranko then nods as Mori gotten up "well let's go train then" Silver then nods "we will see you later Ranko" Ranko then waves at the guys as they left the bridge to go do their training.
Ranko then finishes off her food and water she then wondered about the blond that was helping her on her journey "Vash Hart I hope he finds something" Ranko then relaxes to gain back her energy "my energy goes up pretty fast since I ate lots" Ranko thought to herself
