Looky what we have here!" Filtch said.
"New kids. I've never seen you two in detention before. What did ya do?" he continued to ask. Filtch was something else. No one really liked him.
Especially because he stuck around his creepy cat 'Mr. Norris!' They were a weird duo.
"Late to class sir!" I said.
"What class?" he asked.
"Potions with Professor Snape" George mentioned.
"You don't mess..." Filtch started to say
"...with Professor Snape" George and I finished. "We know we know" I said.
"Right well you guys will make a potion then. The Polyjuice Potion. You will have the whole day to create this and if you get it wrong, there's always tomorrow" Filtch said smiling.
"Do we have to?" George asked.
"Yes we do!" I said.
"George potions is my favourite class. Come on we can do this." I said excitedly.
Filtch told us where to find the ingredients and left the room.
"If there's any funny business think again. Mr. Norris is always watching you" he added. He's such a creepy dude.
"Let's get on with it then Y/N" George said, looking annoyed.
"Oh come on. At least pretend you're having fun please" I said.
"I mean you are with me" I added. He looked at me and smiled.
"Okay, you're not wrong there!" We got all the ingredients we needed to make the Polyjuice Potion. I got, fluxweed, knotgrass, lacewing flies and leeches.
George gathered the powdered Bicorn horn, and shredded Boomslang skin. We both knew it would take months to create the potion however we had researched before hand a few spells so we could finish it in one day.
"Hubble bubble, toil and trouble" George said
"Really, you think that's going to work? I asked trying not to laugh.
"That's what we need to say Y/N." he said.
"Well it's worth a shot then. Let's get started" I suggested.
After about an hour of cutting, mixing, stirring and brewing the potion seemed to be almost done.
"Ready Y/N?"
"Ready George" I replied.
"Wait? Do we really need to say this? It seems crazy" I said.
"Y/N come on I know it sounds silly but trust me it will work!" George replied.
"Okay let's do it!"
"Hubble bubble, toil and trouble" we both said. The pot started to rumble and big bubbles started forming.
"It's working! It's working!" I chanted. Well at least I hope.
"Should we test it out?" I asked. But on who we both thought! Then it clicked.
"Flitch, DUH" we both looked at each other.
"But who are we transforming into?" I asked. George ran out of the room.
I was really confused. Where was he going?
"George!" I yelled out. No answer. He left me here on my own. Seriously!? And with that crazy cat too.
"Y/N I'm back!" I heard George say as he entered the room once again.
"Where were you?" I asked!
"Oh just went back to Professor Snape's class and got some samples we can use!" he said
"Wait so you mean we are going to turn Filtch into Professor Snape!? " I asked.
"EXACTLY!" George said excitedly. We put the samples into the brew and mixed it through. George called over Filtch and asked him to 'check' our potion to see if it looked correct.
While Filtch's head was hanging over the pot George dunked his head in. Flitch let out a little scream. We knew that meant his mouth was open in the pot. Bingo! I thought to myself. After Filtch took his head out of the pot George and I couldn't contain our laughter.
"Nothing's happening George" I said looking confused after a while. After all that hard work, surely something was bound to happen.
"Y/N look" George said. We stood back and watched as Filtch slowly transformed into Professor Snap.
"WE DID IT" George and I chanted. We were so excited. We ran around the room in fits of laughter, with 'Professor Snap' not looking amused. That just made us laugh even more.
"Y/N, GEORGE!" I heard someone say. We both turned around and froze in our place. Now there were two Snape's!
"Oh no!!" I whispered to George. The resemblance was uncanny. We did pretty damn good! We looked at each other for a second before George took my hand and ran out the other door. We ran for what seemed like forever. We eventually got to Gryffindor common room still in fits of laughter.
"Looks like you guys had fun today" Fred said smirking.
"Indeed we did" I said.
"I had lots of fun today Y/N" George said taking my hand.
"Me too George, me too" I said hugging him. He felt so warm and cozy. I didn't wanna let go.
"I hope you feel the same about me George" I whispered to myself into his chest.
"I really do!"
