Chereads / ~My Destiny~ / Chapter 4 - ❧The Questions

Chapter 4 - ❧The Questions

I had shut the holocom's off, wanting to save as much power as possible. We would be landing soon. From where we are, the planet Amone looks huge. Two times bigger than Fasnus. Sebbe was in the back, packing all of the supplies while I got ready to set ship. In the meantime, I also studied the planets surface. I couldn't see green grass, but I saw a sparkling dark blue of ice covering the ground. That would make sense, but wouldn't it melt?

How cold is it on this planet exactly?

"Hey, Quest! D'you think there's some animal's we can kill and eat on Amone?" I heard Sebbe holler from the back.

"Yeah, maybe. Just make sure it's not one of the special species. Some are going extinct quickly on this planet. Probably from hunters on Fasnus...."

But I haven't heard any news from ships coming from Fasnus... ever.

"And the people on this planet are part animal. They are infused." I hummed, tapping away on the dashboards holocom to set our landing point on clear level ground. Hopefully I don't land us on a lake that's been froze over.

We won't want to fall into that.

"Sounds like some sort'a comic book.." I heard Sebbe chuckle.

"I guess it does, doesn't it." I agreed, not looking up from the controls.

I gripped the shift, pressing the orange button that laid atop it.

"Hang on, Sebbe!" I shouted, hearing the boosters we had left rumble and shift. We were lowering ourselves into Amone's atmosphere.

I swallowed back bile, the fear that built in my chest, and the groaning my heart was making from the sudden shift in gravity and pull.

"This isn't the most pleasant thing ever.." I muttered.

"You're telling me.." Sebbe slowly found his way back, standing firmly on the ground for the first time in a month. His legs must've felt like jelly from the sudden weight.

We didn't have a gravity shifter in our drop ship, like most, it probably needed repairing. Or they took it. But I didn't have to worry much on that. Floating is better for most things. I really just want a proper shower..

Me and Sebbe both do.

I mean, we kept ourselves clean, but handling floating water was a hassle.

"Entering Amone's atmosphere. Grab onto something. This is going to be rough." I said, wrapping my tail around the chair and my hips while Sebbe strapped himself in quickly.

"Incase we die, I want you to know, I had an amazing time!" Sebbe shouted over the rumbling.

"Are you doubting my steering and landing abilities, Mr. Four eyes!" We both laughed, our hearts beating out of chests it felt like..

The roaring of the flames were louder, the ship shaking and groaning, not to mention the sudden flames engulfing the ship as it went further to Amone's surface. I grabbed the dashboard's handle, as Sebbe already had, shutting his eyes as if he was scared. I noticed just then, he had put back on his blue bandana.

I understand why, though. There was going to be new people who aren't in dome's all the time, people who don't live by blood ranks. They live in peace and probably have a chancellor or president like most would. I wonder if they'll see us as immigrants from another planet or just aliens.

Either way, we need to cope and get closer to them. We need some of their power. If they have power here. Like I said earlier, the ships who land here must have broken holocom's or maybe the planet interferes with their holocom's until they land on the ground of Fasnus again and have someone repair them. How am I supposed to know?

I'm just a boy who is laying out his life or death sentence.

But then again, life doesn't always decide death.

The moment you are born, you start to die. Yes, but you choose how you die. If you don't do it yourself or do it for people you love or care for, that was your decision. And I don't plan on dying here. And I know Sebbe doesn't either. He has dreams of his own, and I'm not letting them go to waste.

When we entered a grey cloud in the sky, I heard a few clanks and rumbles from the engine's, that wasn't a normal cloud.. or what it produced wasn't normal.

Sebbe's flames didn't work well in space, so it had been a while. The loss of gravity suppressed his flame, making it a dark blue, and then nothing at all. There was not much air to suck in and eat. So the flame was...dying then dead. I knew his ability was built up and probably wanted to tear through every seam in his body. Not to mention when I looked over at him, there was heat radiating from his pores, I could see the small waves of the searing heat ripple over his skin as if throbbing.

"Hang on tight!" I shouted, spotting the ground before I was jerked forwards, eyes shut, and a pop from my back.

I heard a grunt from Sebbe in the aftermath. When I peeked over, he was sweating.

"Never thought I could overheat.." Sebbe chuckled, looking down at his hands. I could feel the heat radiating, boiling on his skin, burning.

I looked around. The bow, my bag, some supplies, they were somewhat to the front from the impact of the landing. It must've sent them flying..

I saw the window's freezing over in something that looked like blue snowflakes. The ship cut off.

Before I could say something, Sebbe beat me to it, eyes wide, "Open the door before it freezes us in here!" He shouted.

I was already on top of it, prying the door open quickly before the ice covering the blue and silver ship could get a chance to engulf it with us still inside. I grabbed my bag, and Sebbe's bow, while Sebbe grabbed the arrows and another bag of simple supplies. Once I was out, Sebbe was too.

Tumbling to the ground after we got out, which hurt like hell due to the ground being completely froze over by ice. Was there any grass under this? Or did it already kill it? The ice was thick, almost as if it would suffocate you if you were under it. So thick, you probably couldn't cut to the dirt..

Was the planet..

The planet didn't have dirt.

I looked around, seeing the tree's, they weren't brown, they were like crystals..

Diamonds almost.

My mouth fell ajar.

"Are you seeing this too?.." Sebbe asked, his hands gripping the ice while it started to melt underneath them.

His body heat alone was melting it.

"Yeah, I am.." I murmured, "This planet wasnt what I expected at all.."

A blink or two later, we were both standing, slipping, but standing."Ack-" Okay, I was standing.

I chuckled, sliding over the ice to Sebbe.

"Let me see your foot." I smiled, grabbing his shoe'd foot.

I reached in the bag that we hadn't used much. It had other food in it, but it was only things you could put on it. Spices and such. But this was the only thing we had I knew could work. I grabbed salt, and some rock salt, "Melt the bottom of your shoe a little for me. The rubber." I asked and Sebbe obliged. He laid his hand upon the bottom of his shoe, melting the rubber to the point of stickiness. I layered the bottom of Sebbe's shoe in rock salt and regular salt, then we did the same with his other, and my own shoes. When he went to stand, it wasn't very slipper anymore. When I stood, I had a grip on the ground, the salt gripping the ice as if to try and make it stronger.

Sebbe's eyes gleamed, his features seeming to glow, "Thanks. I wouldn't have been able to stand without that little trick." Sebbe chuckled, pulling his bow off my shoulder and onto his own.

"No problem, I see where you're coming from." I grinned.

Not long after, I was on my way with Sebbe at my side, or a little further behind.

While we walked, we took in the scenery...

The tree's looked like they were made of glass almost, but shinier. The leaves were green but looked like crystals too..

Was anything here edible?

We saw a couple animals, I found it weird I couldn't see their health bars or their species..

"Did you see it's claws? It's feet." Sebbe, walked up beside me.

"Yeah. It had claws that dig into the ice.." I whispered, as if listening. "If we listen hard enough, we could probably hear someone coming."

I heard something crack from deep within the tree's, a clump of ice fell off a tree's branch and shattered onto the ground as if it was everyday life. There were melting piles of dark blue snow in some places the tree's didn't hang over the ground. They might have looked like glass, but they were sturdy enough to hold a lot of weight. And when the wind brushed through, the leaves rustled and clinked. It could possibly be the water frozen on the leaves. The animal's have to eat something and leaves seem to be the main thing besides other animal's.

"I haven't seen one person yet, or any sign of some." I muttered, feeling just barely anxious.

I thought I had heard something scratch on ice behind me, Sebbe didn't even seem to hear it. So I thought it was something of my imagination. Of the sleep deprivation.

Sebbe seemed to have calmed down, or his ability more-so. He wasn't radiating bizarre amounts of heat, just the normal body heat. But he was still slightly sweating, and his sweat seemed to glimmer as if a flame.

The tree's got denser. Some I could actually see the knots and ridges of their trunks. They were like normal tree's, just not wooden..

Sebbe was quiet. So was I. We were listening.

But we heard nothing.

The clouds rumbled above us, the sky turning a dark grey-blue. Sebbe looked up, brushing his pastel green hair out his face.

"It's gonna snow. Not rain.." I mumbled, but when I started to see the snow fall, and when it touched a surface, it froze as if crystallizing. It encased whatever it touched by an inch. If it started to fall faster, maybe with more volume too, we would both be incased in the Crystal like snow. Just like the drop ship..

It must have gotten snow on it, or something of the sort, when we flew through that cloud..

My breath caught in my throat. When me and Sebbe were about to rush off into somewhere to take shelter, a hollow tree possibly; we spotted a woman standing between two tree's ahead of us. Her long, vibrant pink hair to her hips. Her skin was a mocha brown, and her golden eyes pierced my soul.

I heard the scratching of ice before I heard Sebbe gasp, and groan. His words muffled.

Acting quickly I turned to see a boy with his hand over Sebbe's mouth. The boy didn't grin or scowl, just a simple—guess you could call this a "resting bitch face".

"Don't suffocate him, Clem. They're tourists, not enemy's. Remember, observation." The female's snarky mouth went off.

I gave the boy a glare, "Let him go." I said, my voice suddenly more stable than I've ever heard anyone's.

I'm guessing the girl called the boy holding his hand over Sebbe's mouth "Clem". Then that's his name. Clem.

He was slightly taller than Sebbe, almost my height. For such a small being, he was intimidating.

His mocha skinned hand—which was covered in albino—white—freckles like the rest of him, let Sebbe go. I grabbed Sebbe's arm, pulling him to me, and away from the newcomer.

"Introduce yourself, why don't you?" Sebbe snapped, "Could'a at least made yourself present before trying to give me a heart attack." Surprisingly, Sebbe made the female—who was walking closer—giggle.

"Sorry about him, but until the snow is over, you two are going to need to... well.." She snapped her fingers, and I heard the crackling of ice from behind me.

When I went to turn and see, I heard Clem whistle grasping my attention back to the front, then a searing pain ran through the back of my head.

I heard Sebbe shout and retort before Clem grabbed him from my grasp. My vision was unstable, I felt as if I was on uneven ground. Then...there was darkness and the cold of my body on the ice floor. My eyes peeled open for a moment to see a pair of shoes that had blades on the bottom of them. Ice skates?... No, it wasn't the shoe that had the metal. I could see an opening in the bottom which let the blade through. It was Clem's feet..

Was it possible for someone to have an ability which let your feet be metal and sharp enough to glide on ice at the same time.

Sebbe was fighting back against Clem, in which, I just noticed.. he had two white deer like ears on the side of his head. They were white with a slight hint of a light brown. As if a baby deer who hadn't yet lost its spots.

I saw a glimmer of fire, and the feet of the female, then nothing at all.

❧ I awoke looking up to see a crystal, blue, and dripping ceiling. I felt someone put a hot rag on my forehead. The ceiling was light blue, there was light from the opening some yards away from my feet. I sat up, looking around me. The girl was the one who had put the rag on my head. I didn't say anything, but looked for Sebbe.

"He's fine.. He had quite a showdown with Revelry, over there." The woman pointed to a boy gliding on the ice outside the—what I would call—cave. His hair that was usually covering his right eye was pushed back, showing his shimmering gold eyes

"He's still sleeping?" I asked, and she nodded. They didn't seem to be threats, but they did throw a.. What was it that she hit me in the back of the head with? Was it even her?

"I bet you're confused. I'm Aura. Twin sister of Clem." She smiled, an inviting smile.

That explained the eyes. Those eyes that looked like they were made out of gold and sharp ice. Clem, on the other hand; continued to skate.

"Don't worry about your friend. He's fine. I didn't allow Clem to hurt him. What's his name exactly?" She asked, taking the rag off my forehead and rinsing it in a bucket of water. When I looked behind me, I saw a stream of hot water running through the cave, the steam melting the top of the cave ever-so-slightly. This was inconvenient..

I was also laying on a blanket of some sort, a animal skin I know.

All of our bags were in the corner of the cave untouched.

"I'll let him tell you. But, I'm Quest." I held out my hand to her, and she took it. Her skin ice cold.

I heard the scratching of ice meets blade get closer, and the huffing of a exhausted person.

"You done?" She asked with a smile and laugh, while Clem entered the cave.

Maybe he was blowing off steam..

The boy only nodded, he didn't speak.

"We wouldn't have knocked you guys out, we just didn't know a better way.." She went back to cleaning the rags.

Maybe ask us?

"And your friend was quite feisty." She hummed a laugh. When I looked back over at Clem, his shoes didn't have blades anymore, but his shoes did have slit in the middle of the souls. That is his ability.

"Curious?" I heard a soft voice in my head, startling me, my eyes widening. It was a males, but not my own.

"Wh-" I was cut off.

"Clem is mute. He doesn't talk at all. My apologies for not mentioning that, it must have seemed like he was being rude."

Well, yeah, the resting bitch face still remains.

Clem glanced up at my eyes, then looked towards the outside of the cave, looking at the clouds.

"How long was I out?"

"Four hours. The snow is no longer persistent. What it is, is the snow freezes whatever it touches for three hours, crystallizing and killing a lot of things. Then when three hours are over, everything goes back to melting. It does this once everyday." She said, standing up and walking to another part of the cave with a hot wet rag.

Is that where Sebbe is?..

"I saw you put your friends ability and some salt to work. You're a smart kid." She grinned, "Who woulda thought it would grip so well." She came back from the room, no rag in hand this time.

So, Sebbe is in there.

I kept examining everything closely.

"How did you knock me out?" I asked.

"Hurt your pride?" She lifted a brow.

"No." I retorted, "Just.....Curious."

"Well.." She whispered, sitting by Clem.

She held out her hand, the air seeming to suck itself to the one spot, then form a crystal.

"I'm an ice wielder and maker." She smiled, flicking the small piece of ice towards Clem's head.

Clem flinched and scowled at her, scooting further towards the exit of the cave.

"Haha, I was just playing, don't give me that." She joked, grabbing Clem's shoulder.

Now I could see it. The eyes, mainly. And the skin tone.

Besides that. They weren't identical. Clem had white freckles on dark skin, animalistic ears, blades that protrude from his feet when he needs them, and snow white hair that covered his right eye.

"That's why, if I ever went somewhere ice wasn't, I could create some for Clem to skate on." She was smart, and their abilities went together..

Like true twins.

When he was skating his hair was pushed back, so he wasn't hiding anything under his hair..

And Aura has vibrant pink hair, mocha skin, the personality of a cheerful cat, and an ice wielding power. I was rambling off in my mind, checking thing off and thriving over things I didn't have down yet.

"Well, I take after my mother in looks... Clem.. he's a rare species." My eyes shot to Aura's.

Oh my, she must have thought I was staring..

Well, I was, but I was spaced out at the same time..

"He is?" I asked.

"He takes after our father. Almost identical if he had snow white skin to go with it." She giggled and ruffled Clem's hair, in which he swatted her hand away quickly.

He seemed to be bothered with life..

"And I took our dads personality while he took our mom's." She smiled, looking back to me.

A few beats later and Clem tapped Aura's hand and pointed to the room Sebbe was supposedly in.

Aura nodded and stood, me watching as she went. Was Sebbe awake?..

"So, Clem.." I tried to start a conversation, but he only looked back out the opening, staring off into the ice or up to the stars in the dark sky, "Do you have a tail too?" I grinned mockingly.

I was still clothed, and my tail was tucked under my shirt. So far, no one knew it even existed.

At least I think they didn't know.

Clem glanced over at me, his eyes glaring swords instead of daggers. I flinched and put my hands up.

"Never mind, it was only a joke!"

I wasn't expecting Clem to stand and turn around, revealing his white haired covered tail from under his shirt..

"Oh, you do.." I murmured. Clem sighed and stomped his foot on the ice, a blade appearing soon after.

Is that how it works or is he being dramatic?

Clem turned to me, tilting his foot at an angle.

I'm guessing his face is constantly in the resting bitch face mode, I haven't seen him calm nor happy since we met—which wasn't too long ago.

"So, you have two abilities? Your blade feet, and your animalistic features?" I asked.

Clem looked to the ground then back up, possibly thinking.

Then he nodded, meeting my eyes.

"Oh. Well, I have a tail too.." I murmured, standing up on unsteady legs, "And I have four horns." I brushed my hair away from my smaller horns that were starting to curve around my ear. I lifted my shirt, revealing a grey tail that wrapped around my abdomen and chest.

Clem lifted a brow, his attention going to the marks along my tail, "Born with them. Got them from my father.." I murmured.

A nod later, Clem drew in a breath, looking towards Sebbe's door. And almost just in time, Sebbe walked out, hands on his hips, and a face that didn't look mad nor happy. But like I said, I'm not good with emotions.

Sebbe sat on the ground beside me, I put down my shirt and sat down too, giving the pastel green haired boy a confused look.

"Gonna tell me what's got your boxers in a bunch or?.." I asked.

"He can't understand us." Aura walked out of the room.

"He can't—oh!" I was confused at first, looking up to her with a surprised face.

"Well, I-....I'm sorry, I kinda studied multiple languages when I was little, how was I supposed to know this planet would have one you didn't know!" I hugged my friend, a grin on my face. "I'll teach you—"

"No need. We know your language. Fluently." Aura smiled. Clem sat back in his spot, blades gone, and attention out the cave again.

"How?.." I questioned.

"We get people here a lot, they don't know our language just as Sebbe doesn't know ours."

Sebbe must have gave in and told her his name. It wasn't my place to tell her.

"So, our kind has evolved to adapt to languages as quickly as we hear them. And we heard you spewing nonsense after we saw your ship fall from the stars. So, we started adapting. It's like a ability in itself, really. Just like you have that chip in your neck, when we are born we get something called a shot, and it infused with our brain to learn foreign languages quicker." She sighed, sitting next to her twin, "Get it now?"

I nodded and Sebbe pushed me out the hug I had forgot I was in, "Yeah, I understand that." I whispered.

How'd she know about the chip? Maybe she knew things on it. I mean, it's not technically hidden..

"Where's you're clan or village anyways?"

"We were kicked out. We have been on our own for three years. Since we were thirteen. We adapted to our new surroundings and went far away from there. It was chaos anyways. Our mother and father didn't pay any attention and left us to fend for ourselves in the village. Being out here is no different. Just quieter." She looked over at Clem with a slight frown.

What did they do to be kicked out?

"Apparently we all have parental issues.." Sebbe spouted, putting his hand on his chin grumpily. He was sitting cross legged, his left hand in his lap and his elbow propped on his knee. An annoyed and bored stature. Is he jealous that they are twins?...

A gloomy look shown over my face.

"Well, I'm sorry to bother. But we must be on our way. We are on the hunt for power and gas. And that's about it." I went to stand. Sebbe put his hand on my knee, making me sit back down quickly.

"You won't be leaving anytime soon. Not with the ship you came here with. It's been covered in ice." Aura looked away, considerably upset.

"So? Sebbe's fire can melt it."

"It constantly comes back as fast as it goes." Aura looked up to meet my eyes.

So this is what Sebbe was upset about? Did Aura and him already have this conversation without me? I mean, it seems that way, doesn't it..

"But I have another idea. I have been on the thought for a while. I was wondering how well you guys could get into the village without hassle, and steal a new ship of your own. Their's withstand our's."

The other drop ships that landed here must have froze over with the people still in them, that's why we never hear anything back from planet Amone's.

I flinched and put a finger to my neck, taping on my holocom. A screen appeared in front of my eyes.

"You said to get in and steal a ship right?" I asked.

"Mhm, got any information of sneaking into places undetected?" She asked with an amused grin.

"I do actually. I swiped on the holographic screen and scanned Sebbe's body. Not long after, I had a layer of holographic illusion going over my body. My horns were gone, my tail was undetectable, and I had long pastel green hair while my skin made itself a pastel pink. Before I knew it, I was dressed, and looking like Sebbe Hadley. Identical.

"Hey! How did you!?" Sebbe stood, "You're even shorter!" He shouted with a pout.

"Calm down, I can defuse it. It's a thing I worked on in my free time on Fasnus. I completely forgot about it because I had no use for it besides sneaking to get things. I wasn't allowed to be detected by other kids or people because I was different. Silver blooded, remember?" I clicked the holocom button on the side of my neck, and it defused the illusion. I was back to good old Quest Willion in seconds.

"You really are smart.." Aura stood, meeting my eyes. "Your holocom allows you to do that?"

"You must learn fast." I acted unimpressed and sarcastic. She was only repeating what I had said. I didn't notice I had Clem's attention until I heard a scoff from his direction, "Yes. Detailed it, and reprogrammed everything on it. Might-as-well be my own invention at this point."

"That explains the scars on your neck.." Sebbe whispered, walking towards the exit of the cave.

"I just have to get close enough to scan someone in your village, then I will have Sebbe here, knock them out and hide them with you two." I smiled.

Sebbe turned on his heels.

"That sounds like a great idea! And as you do that you can get closer to the people who actually work there and go undetected while you scan someone who works with the ships." Aura rambled off, "They always reminded me of butlers. The way they dressed." She beamed.

"Yes, ah-" Sebbe grabbed my wrist and yanked me out the cave and around a tree so Aura and Clem couldn't hear.

"What do you think you're saying!? This could get us killed!"

"Do you see anything better?" I whispered, staring into Sebbe's scared eyes. Then it clicked. "They took off your bandana....That's why you were upset..or another reason you were.." I murmured.

"How did you-"

"I saw the pain in your eyes, just like back then. You don't want to stay because you think they think you're a freak." Sebbe looked away, "Oi, you aren't a freak. You are who you are, and you should beat them up if you even think they think that. But don't, because I have a plan. You aren't going with me. I'll be using Clem." I ranted, and Sebbe nodded, scratching the back of his neck.

"I will make it out of this alive and well, and you will be by my side." I said, "I promise!"

❧It was three days later.

The plan is laid out.

Clem will be with me, I made a holocom bracelet that goes on his wrist out of the old tablet I found in the drop ship. It's exactly like my holocom but it only scans and gives an illusion, it doesn't have everything else. Clem still acts as if I'm nuisance to him, but Aura and Sebbe seem to be getting along great. Really great. She actually is making him happy, or maybe that's because he knows she knows his secret, as she still cares for him. I mean, they haven't killed us in our sleep, that's a plus.

Clem might also feel closer to them being a twin himself..

"Here." I clipped the bracelet onto Clem's wrist. "There, now," I clicked a button and it tightened. I hadn't really taken in how short Clem was compared to me. I'd assume 5'3 exactly.. His skates give him a good couple inches, "and when you are ready to scan, click this." I showed him the button on the underside of his wrist, "It's hidden in case anyone spots a weird looking bracelet wth buttons." I chuckle.

Clem only nodded, his face relaxed while he took in the information.

"And press it again to defuse the hologram." I smiled.

Clem ran his fingers over the metal of the bracelet and I prepared my scan. At the same time, we scanned each other, then the holographic image started from the feet to the head. Afterwards, I looked identical to the usual Clem and he looked identical to what I usually looked like.

"Dang." I grinned, looking at the horns that protruded from Clem's head, "I really am tall.." I muttered, "Compared to you that is." I smirked.

Clem only stared down at me, before he smiled and flicked my forehead. I winced and rubbed the spot that made a small whelp. He then gripped the horns on his head, curiosity in his eyes. I've never seen that expression on him.. although, I understand that, it's a new body and you have new weight of four horns laying on your head. I'd do the exact same. But I didn't, not to Clem's body at least. He wasn't hurting me and I wasn't hurting him, "Hey! What did I do-" I was cut off by Sebbe gasping.

"I didn't know Clem could talk! I ought'a be out'a my mind.." He shouted.

"He can't." I retorted with a laugh, "We scanned each other. Guess who." I grinned.

"Quest? I feel like I shouldn't be witnessing this.." He muttered.

"Well, now you know how I'm feeling." I laughed, and Clem smiled. He was actually smiling. I wonder if it's because he wasn't in his own body. "Hey, you can take the holograph down if you want, but hold on." I turned Clem around, lifting up his shirt in the back. I felt him jolt and try to inch away but I didn't let him. I reached back and felt for Clem's tail. It was there, "As I thought.." I murmured.

"What?" Sebbe asked, peeking over my shoulder, "Oh, he doesn't have your tail."

"My tail is undetectable.." I muttered, "It's the symbols. Well, if you ever have trouble with finding out which me is the real me, lift up ones shirt snd you will know." I chuckled and fixed Clem's shirt. His body still stiff until it started to shift back into the usual Clem. I tried using my x-ray vision. It worked just like any other day. The hologram was like a shape shifting, it changes your looks and your point of view. Kinda like an Ability, but not an ability. Just plain old Quest inventions. But it can't detect my tail because of the symbol's. I'm resistant to my own holograms.

"You still looked hot, though." Aura spoke, coming from the small river that flowed with hot water between the ice.

I chuckled, "Thanks. Could say the same for your brother." I patted Clem's head having my hand swatted away immediately.

"Sorry." I muttered, and Clem shook his head as a "it's fine" I'm guessing. Or maybe I'm hoping. I don't want to be on this guy's bad side.

"You're clothes are dry thanks to Sebbe's heat, and they're clean for tomorrow. It won't take but a couple hours for us all to get there, so tonight you better get ready and get sleep." Aura demanded. She was like the mom of the group.

We all nodded and I turned off my hologram, rolling my shoulder blades after, "Going to have a big day tomorrow." I said, looking over at Clem.

"Don't get giddy on me. Just keep remembering to get it done." I put my hand on Clem's shoulder. Clem only rolled his eyes and gave me a salute, one of good will. Then he made his way out the cave. We continued working as we did, making sure things were ready, snacks, food, and everything packed. Aura was going to be getting food from the places she knew she could still get into and Sebbe agreed to help instead of stand by. And now, we wait for sun rise.
