Lora and Sebastian arrive at the scene, and spot the cause of all the destruction. Which was a giant mechanical suit of armor.
Lora attacks first by blasting the Mech suit with fire hot enough to melt the buildings surrounding it. Then Sebastian attacks from above using his sword to summon lightning that strikes the behemoth, stunning it. He then goes for the finishing blow with a downward slash, but the Mech is quick to recover and catches the sword inches from its head.
Sebastian tries to pull away his sword and retreat, but it's too late. The Mech grabs him by the head and speaks.
"None can defeat my Soultaker!" It bellowed as it begins to drain the soul of Sebastian from his body, and it falls on the ground lifeless moments later.
Lora is shocked by what she just witnessed, but she has no time to grief because the Soultaker is is upon her in seconds, meaning she is about to be next.

Lance is now searching for his friends. He should have gone with them he thinks to himself as he rushes around trying to find them.
Though the loss of his mother is heartbreaking, he must find the strength to avenge her, that was one of the things he swore he will do today. But then he spots the body of his friend Sebastian on the floor, his golden Great Sword was lying next to him, and Lance is shocked by the sight.
He falls to his knees overcome with grief. "If only I was stronger, faster, or more powerful. Maybe I could have saved you."
Lance said to himself as tears ran from his eyes. Then he sees Lora fighting the Soultaker, but it's too strong and it's movements are so fast that Lora would soon be defeated.
The massive Mech Launches missiles from it's back at the now defenceless Lora. But before they could hit, Lance Shields her with his body. The explosive blast severs Lance's arm, and sends both of them smashing into a wall.
Lora is now terrified, and stares at the disfigured body of Lance. Lance looks at her and tries to tell her to run. But the words "Soul Steal" is spoken, and Lance screams as his soul is taken, flying from his body entering the Soultaker suit.
The suit opens up to reveal the face of its pilot Barbatos, who stares down at Lance's corpse.
" It's a shame, sacrificing yourself for someone whose still going to die anyway. (Laughs) so stupid... Oh well, it's time for you to die... Nothing personal kid, I just have a job to do, and I will do it."
The suit then closes, and the Soultaker moves closer to Lora, intending to steal her soul. And she can only watch as the suit towered over her, preparing to end her life.
But suddenly it is punched in the chest, the force of the blow sends it crashing through several buildings. The Soultaker bursts out of the rubble and rises to identify it's attacker. Who is none other than Lance Grey.
His broken body is now covered in darkness, and it stands before Lora protecting her. His severed arm reattaches itself, twisting and snapping as it pops back into place. His blood is now black and flows back into his body.
All of his injuries heal as he begins to laugh, and it's a laugh that Lora recognizes as the same maniacal laugh she heard in the dungeon.
Lance now fully healed is looking more of a monster than a man. Dark energy swirls around him, and a smile appeared on his face.
