Lora has asked Lance if he's a Demon, and he's not surprised. Based on all the extraordinary things he can do, she'd be right to assume he was a Demon. Some Demons had the power of shape shifting, and they were some instances in the past, where Demons infiltrated human civilization. But Lance was no Demon, and he tells her his true story.
Lance was born in a small town, far away from the Heart Kingdom. He lived there with his biological parents, and there were all happy together. But one day a giant Demon appeared and destroyed the town, killing everyone except for Lance, who miraculously survived the attack.
Alone and afraid Lance is eventually rescued by a Mage, who took him to an orphanage in the Heart Kingdom. Where he was later adopted by Elizabeth Grey, his new mother. But unknowingly to young Lance he had been cursed, unable to die without becoming an unstoppable monster. He first discovered this months after he had been adopted. A wandering Magic Beast had somehow gotten into the kingdom, and attacked Lance while he was playing. It all went dark and moments later, the Beast was dead in a pool of its own blood. Young Lance stood there terrified, not knowing what had caused this, but the second incident happened in the collapsing dungeon, where he transformed to save Lora, and the third, the fight with Soultaker.
Lance explains to Lora that he doesn't know why he transforms, or if he is a really Demon. But if he was a Demon, he wanted to be put down.
"I don't want to be a monster, or a Demon. But so far without this power, I'm useless." Lance tells her with tears fill his eyes.
Lora takes Lance's hand. "Then you have to learn to control this power and make it your own. And I will help you", She tells him with a kind smile.

But at another Location, two individuals make their way to Heart Kingdom. The guards at the border stand no chance against the first intruder, a Black Knight whose sword splits them in two. The second intruder, a female Imp simply watches in delight.
"You know what to do, right Knightmare?" She asks fiendishly. And he replies," Of course Mistress Copy, Death To The Heart King".
The next day the students of the Mage Academy gather to be addressed by the king of the Heart Kingdom (King Augustus Brave). The king is a tall, handsome and well built man, and his presence is appreciated by all the students. The king commends Lora for subduing the Soultaker, and she is given a medal of honor, which she awkwardly accepts.
At the king's side stands his beauty daughter, Princess Emily Brave. She stands there unknowingly enchanting all the boys with her beauty, and they can't help but stare.
Lastly the king announces the return of the Elite Mages to the Kingdom, and he advises everyone to train hard because they were the future of the Heart kingdom. As the king leaves, Lance, his friends and everyone else for that matter is ecstatic, because they finally get to meet the most powerful Heroes in the kingdom, The Elite Mages.
