~ "During the time when Phil was Primary King, there was a lot of war going on. Annie's and Anna's mother and father were captured by an enemy and to this day nobody has ever found their immortal body's to be revived." Abby said more sadden.
"That sounds horrible," I softly said melancholy myself.
"It is their mother was very friendly like how Anna and Annie used to be and their father was very noble," Abby claimed with sorrowful eyes.
"What happens if there is no biological brother or one marriage?" I asked changing the intense topic back to the previous one, I remembered Maria said all girls and women had to have a claim by a man.
Abby's sorrow fades as she clarified.
"She'll go to the next male family member like an uncle or cousin or if there are none then she's owned by the Royals. But Purebloods always have a family line. The tubebaby boys and girls are the ones more likely owned by the Royals over a Pureblood. Pureblood females would only be claimed under enslavement if the father did something punishable. The Royals could execute that man and take any daughters and maybe wife for enslavement but that rarely happens in the Highest-ranks. It is more common to happen in low-ranks and non-military families. Plus it depends what crime is committed and whatnot but before too long you'll get how the High Court works."
"Maria mentioned the High Court but I don't know anything about it," I said completely lost as Abby giggled.
"Maria, did tell me you were a little confused about Kingdom Kind," said Abby still giggling.
I giggled back and said. "It's all very new to me."
"No worries, the High Court is where the trials are held for meetings, Kingdom announcements, or if a crime is committed." Exclaimed Abby.
"So I'd have to attend one?" I asked more or less wondering.
Abby giggled saying, "most likely as our Primary Queen but you are mostly there to sit and look pretty by Cory's side while he makes the calls. "
I rolled my eyes at this and said annoyed, "why I am not surprised to hear that."
Again Abby giggled telling me, "you know it may not seem like but a lot of us ladies are thrilled to finally get a Primary Queen. If you are brave which I feel that you are. You can be more than just a pretty face by your husband's side. Cory may have all the authority and final say but you certainly can make a difference. You can request and hold a protective power over us ladies. If you wish too."
But I shook my head feeling a mixture of emotions between sad and angry. "I just wish I could get out of this wedding," I mumbled lowly.
"You know that will never happen, Milady," said Abby in a respectable tone.
I sighed a light breath of air and picked up a different doll and started brushing its golden hair. "I know but what's the point of having say when most of the women don't have any care for this idea of me being their Primary Queen. Other than befriending Maria, this is why I just stick to myself."
"Why are you so intimated by that?" Abby smiled and asked. "Cory is the Primary King. You have no idea of your rank. You outrank Cory's Grandmother Fiona who was the last Primary Queen. Fiona even outranked Cory's mother Amelia. Plus, Amelia has a high honor point for birthing the Primary King. Over them, Cory will listen to you."
"I didn't know honors could be given by birthing a Primary King," I told.
"All mothers and fathers get honorable points if their son or daughter achieves something to earn them mostly for their mothers since mothers raised them. Amelia earned it for birthing Cory and for the things he achieved. And any girl's honorable points will go to her future husband if she gets married that will earn him extra credits, rewards, and reputation." Abby further clarified.
"I think I get that," I noted unsure if I did or not. "I couldn't imagine Cory favoring me over his mother and grandmother," I said not sure of what to think.
Even though, Cory's confessed he's gone around his mother and did what he's wanted to do.
"Any woman who took part in raising Cory will always have a special place in his pretty cold heart. But his love for you will outshine anybody else. If you go to him for anything he would probably give you what you'd wish." Abby told me.
I laughed sarcastically saying, "I doubt that one! I've only begged countless times for him to not force me to marry him!"
Abby laughed even harder and then says. "Well, no you will never have your way with that! Once a man claims you as his bride. It's a done deal in all kingdoms and Barons ruling."
"So I've heard this," I asserted frustrated. "I'm getting tired of hearing it."
Abby giggled and says bolder. "Then stop worrying and wishing this to end. Start thinking about bonding with your husband and being our Primary Queen. Give us ladies a voice to be heard for once. Show these women you are the Primary Queen. You came out of the world of slavery you know what it feels like to be without rank. You could benefit so many women right now!"
Wow! Abby's blunt words hit me deep. She sure was a straightforward woman, I reckoned.
After a moment of silence, Abby added more like a challenge. "Or you could just go back to looking out the windows and doing nothing but look pretty."
Again her words kept striking me but I wasn't insulted by her. It was more like an eye-awakening feeling.
At the same time, I pushed it away and tried inquiring with a serious face. "How does everybody know what I do?"
And I failed to stay serious with Abby's bold smile. I broke out in laughter with her.
"Oh, trust me, Milady," Abby begins çhuckling. "The guys openly talk aloud sometimes on your whereabouts. Most of us heard about the incident with the Pegasuses and unicorns, and each time you ran away. The guys know you like the piano room and most of us ladies overhear and childishly spread the gossip. Since Cory apprehended you, you've been like the mystery firstborn tubebaby Princess to us. Most of us have talked about you whether good or bad."
Well, I feel sheepish from learning all this! Gosh, I have brought out so much unwanted awareness to myself and felt blushful. As Abby laughed some more.
