~ "That's a little embarrassing," I said feeling streak red. "Wish no one knew about that."
Abby giggled saying, "it's their job to nowhere your location at all times. It was on a rush order to rescue you and Maria whenever you were in trouble."
"That I get." I sigh asking, "why must they know my every location?"
"Sally, you're going-to-be the Primary Queen. Cory has tons of enemies so during an attack you're a prime target. You're considered Cory's only weakness since he took you as his bride. If none of the men haven't seen you in awhile it's their job to find you and make sure you are still safe. I've heard from my husband Rick that Cory has them keeping a close eye on you. I think your persistent running away has brought that on yourself. Plus you're so quiet like Samantha here," said Abby as she lastly teased me.
Samantha looked up and smiled at Abby. As we continued to accessories her expensively made dolls.
"I definitely feel Samantha here is quieter compared to me," I said brushing my fingers in her hair as she brightly gleed at me.
Abby smiled at Samantha and said. "Well, motherless daughters are known to be quieter. Plus, she's the daughter of a Primary. Nick is teaching her obedience at a very young age. And like you, she is considered a prime target."
"Why is she a target too?" I asked worried for her.
"Being a Primary's daughter makes her a target," Abby proclaimed. "However, not too many men want to mess with Primary Nick because they fear him."
"That's crazy," I said shocked to hear this.
As Abby nodded saying, "more like Nick got lucky to have her."
"What do you mean?" I asked puzzled.
Abby explained," in other Kingdoms, the Head King would send out that same Division field that Nick runs to target a Primary, Highest-ranker, or Royal offspring to terminate mostly unborn boys. Plus, Hunter Society does the same things for rewards and credits. Thankfully for Nick, the pregnancy was successful and kept a secret from his divorce, plus she was a girl. By the time our enemies knew Nick had a daughter she was already born and all Kingdoms and Barons live by code laws. One code law is they can terminate an unborn but not a child that has been born. Nevertheless, our enemies were happy to learn Nick had a daughter instead of a son. However, they would only want Samantha for breeding because of Nick's genes running in her veins. If she has a son it would be of great benefit for their Kingdom."
"That's horrible," I scarcely said. "This is why I didn't wanna be involved with the Kingdom Kind."
Abby said more sweetly, "you're born from one of the best and most feared Kingdoms."
I looked into Abby's eyes sorta challenging, "how do you figure?"
Abby smiled and added. "Nick is known as one of the best trackers and hitman around these parts. Mike's known to be the fastest Primary around. JJ is one of the best-known healers and killer by a simple pressure point hit with one finger. Matt is known for mean sword dual in battle. Aaron is very smart when it comes to high-tech stuff. He's been known to hack many enemies for information and found tons of missing people from our Kingdom that way and Jay is known for his sheath for outside security. Then Cory is well-known and most feared for his reputation. He's not a Head King to reckon with. You have no idea who you are engaged to. Women would die or even kill to be marrying him."
I said in a fearful unsure tone, "this is part of the reason why I don't want to marry him because of my fear for him."
Abby gave a light smile saying. "I don't blame you for fearing him. We all fear the men around here, including our husbands but we fear Cory the most. He could execute any man or woman if they're found guilty of doing something breaking his laws in his kingdom. Depending on the law that is broken will determine anybody's punishment. But the good news is Cory's not mean and gives a fair trial. If a wife breaks a rule most of the time, Cory lets her husband be the authority so her husband will do the punishment. Unless something is taken to the High Court. The High court is when you face Cory and trust me you don't want it to go that route ever."
"That sounds like a scary position to get yourself in," I said wide-eyed, serious.
"And you would be standing up there with him too. That is where you could be a voice for us women." Abby notified me for the second time like she giving me a hint from the way her eyes sparkled with gladness.
"I still don't like the sound of that," I said veering my eyes away.
"Well, I did say a moment ago, that you're mostly excepted to stand off to the side and look pretty. Anything politically based, the Primary Queen is excepted to look beautiful and graceful while the Head King makes the final calls. But all Primary Queens have a say to state how they may feel about their husband's chosen decision. It can either cause you to be punished if not done right. Or your opinion could just be shut off but it depends on how the Head King favors his Primary Queen, he could make the changes she had requested. And I can tell you now with that imprint you have to Cory says he'll always favor and cherish you."
Now I have a better understanding of why Maria said it would be a bold move to disagree with my husband's decisions. Honestly, I only kept quiet. I'm tired of hearing about my role as a Primary Queen and this stupid imprint I have with Cory. Just as Abby looked like she was about to speak. The outside glass door was heard opening up. As Abby and I look to see who it was.
