Once I saw they disappeared from reaching the Grand Hall. Now I ascended the stairs until reaching the first-floor. I adventured off mazing around to still noticed there weren't any men patrolling. Other than running into some men but most of them were getting themselves cozy with a woman. There was a lot of romantic lust going on around here, I thought awkwardly. To leave some of these rooms with couples either married or courting were intensely making out. This was so twee, I initially thought.
Going down this familiar wide hall, I found the quiet room with the paintings and piano. Ah, yes! This is where I wanted to be. Like before this room has nobody inside it. Which made the room quiet and peaceful. My sight was instantly hooked on the ancient antique piano. Just eyeing it made my fingertips twitch to wanna play a song. I went around and sat on the bench stool. I'm sure nobody would mind if I played something. I mean it was early and hardly anybody was awake and if they were awake. Surely they were busy sucking each other's faces off, I inwardly giggled at that thought. And then I went to open the lid to excess the hidden piano keys. So I could play something soft and soothing to mend my stressed mind.
"NOOO!"
When I was lifting the lid this chilling female scream sent a tingle of goosebumps up my spine. I looked around totally lost as to where that sound came from. Soon to follow, I heard a more prolonged screaming that sounded like sheer horror as if somebody was being murdered in the most gut-twisting way. The screams were faint like it was coming from a distance or a blocked room.
I stood from the piano's stool bench and found an open doorway near the right corner. Now, this was odd, I thought the room only had one entryway. As I cautiously walked over, I realized it was the area where that eerie long and huge forest painting was at.
Well, it's still here only now I am looking at this back black covering of that same painting. Is next to this newly found doorway. Going up to it, I realized the painting wasn't only a painting but it was hinged here to hide a hidden room. I swung the painting some to move it and hear the bolted-in hinges slightly creak. Well, that is intriguing, I thought when closing the painting up to cover the newly discovered doorway. This painting was a perfect disguise to hide this hidden room so the painting is actually a door.
When I opened the painting back up, I peeked inside the secret entrance of this short hallway. It had five thick and long marble greyish steps going down it to enter this hidden room. The first step is the smallest and each step grew bigger in length when reaching the bottom. Making the last step the largest to enter the hidden room.
Still standing at the top, I peered about from what my eyes could see from here. The room was made from expensive light grey-tan marble, walls included were marble too.
These two perfectly made grey-colored column statues stood solid from floor to ceiling. Between the columns was a dark fancy red fairly big door.
Not seeing anybody inside, I cautiously went down the stairs. As I did, that hysterical scream came back. I stopped for a second on the last step until the shrieking faded into a whine before vanishing. I didn't understand it nobody was in the room yet the screaming sounded so vivid like a woman is in there.
I stepped off the last step and looked around and noticed the room was more like a large yet wide vertical hallway only it was a room. It was on the bare side the only decorations inside it are those two columns. On both left and right endings was the same style from ceiling to floor arch windows. Nevertheless, for being on the bare side the room was still lovely, I felt.
Very carefully, I walked towards the door wondering where it led next since it was the only thing to investigate. Other than the hidden entry behind me and this closed red door initially the room was a dead end.
Suddenly, that distressing yet horrifying scream came again. Now I realized the cry was coming from behind the door.
Maybe I'm just losing my mind, I told myself from hearing it vanish again. I had to be losing it since it sounded like a woman was in a disturbance.
So I stopped my pace feeling pretty creeped out. And took a moment to listen and sure enough, I didn't hear anything. I was hesitant for a second and then decided to proceed in opening up that door.
As I approached that horrible scream cried out again. I felt my heart racing so hard like it was about to pop out of my chest. The back of my head heated up like someone was holding a flame to it. Again the terrifying scream cried sounding as if the woman is in tormenting pain this time.
"No! Stop!" I distinctively heard without question.
I could feel my body tense afraid as I felt my body boil, radiating heat all over me. A chill arose in my spine causing me to have more goosebumps.
And then out of nowhere, the screaming ceased. It was a few minutes, if that, of nothing but dead silence. The thought to find someone ran through my head but there was no time for that. The woman needed help now.
So stood here gathering my bravery and tried calming my heart rate back to normal from feeling the blood pumping to it. My breath pants out of my mouth and nose. I could feel my chest throbbing from my racing heartbeat. I took in a breath and let it out roughly. Again I slowly walk closer to the door having my eyes fixed on the golden handle. I reach my hand out to open the door but on the opposite handle from inside it turned sharply. And I jumped back screaming hysterically terrified!
