Aaron dashed to me as he hurled the door closed with the heel of his shoe but I backed away to flee from him.
All the while Aaron saw Pete and Justin from his Division come storming down the five marble steps from behind Sally.
Hearing somebody parading from behind my back. When turning, I jump back into Aaron's vast torso petrified to see Pete and Justin pull out a knife from their loaded belts, carrying weapons. I screamed non-stop! Trying to smother my screaming, Aaron covered my mouth with his left palm. Using his right arm and hand, he held a horizontally straight arm and balled his fingers into a fist, seizing Pete and Justin on spot. Seeing the hand signal they put their knives away.
"Sally, you're fine!" Aaron shouts over me screaming terrified into his palm. "Nobody is going to hurt you!"
I pant heavily, practically hyperventilating into his palm. My flesh felt hot and my chest moved vigorously up and down without my control. Surely but slowly I eased up enough that Aaron took his hand down from my mouth. And gently turned me towards him and started to check my eyes by cupping my face.
"Is she alright?" asked Justin showing his concern causing Aaron to shift his eyes to him.
"I think she got a little spooked," replied Aaron when looking back at me. After giving me a second he asked me more gently. "What happened that caused you to scream and behave like this towards us?"
I pulled myself together and slipped out of his arms trying to be firm, not skittish.
"Because I heard a woman screaming behind that door you had come barreling out of towards me! Then Justin and Pete came at me with knives! So why wouldn't I act this way towards you all!" I affirmed strongly and pointed my finger at the door behind Aaron for a mere second when telling him.
At first, Aaron peeked at Justin and Pete for a second. "Ok, first off, none of us would ever hurt you," he told me delicately. "Secondly, there is no woman behind that door I had just come through."
I was dumbstruck here and asserted strongly, "but this happened several times that I heard a woman screaming in severe pain like she was being murdered or tormented! She even screamed no and stop."
But Aaron insisted, "Sally, I can assure you there is no woman behind that door."
"I no what I heard," I boldly argued crossing my arms when I glared at him.
Suddenly, the door opened from behind Aaron's back and this time JJ slipped out and stealthily shut the door. Which made it even more suspicious that something was going on.
As JJ looked at us and asked. "Hey, what's going on here?" He looked more my way. "Sally, you look so stressed."
I backed up feeling terrified of everyone and blurted out. "You guys are hurting a woman behind that door!"
My heart was racing and I began to hyperventilate as Aaron gave a nod. Now Pete and Justin blocked my only way to escape them. As JJ raised a confused brow while I veered myself sorta to my right.
"Sally, relax," Aaron uttered softly. "You have this all wrong."
As JJ randomly asked puzzled, "did I miss something here?"
"Yes, Sally said to have heard a woman screaming behind the door we came out of. Now she thinks we torturing someone behind that door," Aaron elucidated to him.
"Oh, I see what going on," said JJ mellow as he directed his eyes at me. "Sally, I think you are experiencing stress."
"What!" I shouted. "I know what I heard and I am not crazy! You guys are hurting someone aren't you?"
"Sally, I am not saying your crazy but why would you think we'd hurt a woman? Has anybody ever hurt you here to think this way because if so you need to tell us so we can correct it."JJ firmly inquired.
I started to realize what he telling me is true. Nobody here has ever harmed me in any way.
"Nobody harmed me but it still doesn't change the fact I heard a woman behind that door but you don't believe me!" I said chilling out but getting very frustrated.
"Sally, we never said we didn't believe you. I am just telling you there wouldn't be any women in that room." Aaron proclaimed.
"I know what I heard!" I hissed folding my arms annoyed.
"Sally, relax," JJ said more softly. "What Aaron's trying to say is women aren't allowed in this room whatsoever. It's off-limits to all women. So you hearing a woman screaming from behind this door wouldn't be possible because the woman cannot be in there."
I walked back up to them unfolding my arms stressed and asked. "Then why did I hear a woman screaming inside it?"
JJ explained calmly, "again Sally, you're going through so much stress. You're stressed about the wedding, about being Primary Queen, and even having children. Sometimes with that hallucinations can happen. You're going through so much right now in such a short amount of time. You've only been with us for eleven days now. You're still adjusting to your new lifestyle. You have been mistreated your whole life by those Businessmen jerks. And we understand they have done horrible things to you. When you come out of both physically and sexually abusive situations like you did, recovery takes time. You have every reason not to trust us but we can assure you that nobody would ever harm you like those Businessmen."
I was dumbfounded by what JJ was telling me and asked. "It sounded so real how could that be a hallucination?"
In a calm voice, JJ said. "Sally, I know you are in disbelief but trust me. You're stressed and it's affecting your senses, making them off."
"I never had anything like this happen to me!" I snipped again feeling conflicted about what to think.
Aaron said being sincere. "Sally, JJ is right about this one. You've had a nightmare and now you heard things that aren't in existence. Maybe it was just some kids you heard playing in the yard. The girls tend to scream a lot outside."
I was lost on what to say. Was I losing my mind? Once again that mysterious red door started to open.
