Chapter 177 - Ch 177: No one Believed Ashley

Ashley left the bridal store and was escorted safely to Dominic by his men. In the back of the bar, she saw the men either sitting at these circular tables while others were playing pool.

Seeing Dominic playing pool, Ashley snuck up behind him and wrapped her arms around him. Dominic turned some, very well knowing it was his wife.

He kissed her lips and then asked, "how's it going?"

Most of us were smirking to watch her sneak up on Dominic. Grandfather Phil, dad, and their men were seated at the same table as Mike, JJ, and I.

After taking his shot at the pool table Nick joke, "don't tell me she ran off again?"

"No, she cooperated the whole time," Ashley replies with a giggle. "I am excited to inform you she has picked out a beautiful wedding gown."

Everyone including me blinked at her in disbelief.

Ashley was thrown off saying, "I am being serious here."

We heard her but still, we were silent and didn't believe her. I mean come on now! I know Sally wouldn't pick a gown in one day! This had to be a joke, I believed. But Ashley rolled her eyes getting irritated at most of us. From our blank stare off as if we were looking passed her like an illusion.

She got annoyed and shouted, "I swear sometimes you all are such idiots!" As she realized what she said looking at the older youthful-looking men, "I wasn't referring that to you Grandfather Phil, dad, or your men."

Grandfather bellowed out loudly saying. "Well, this is good news!"

Meanwhile, I was in this disbelief and shook my head. "I wasn't excepting her to pick something today," I said shocked.

"Well, she has and we are going to make some adjustments with it. Dad's guards are putting it in his car after mom buys it." Ashley said smiling.

"Isn't that shocking?" Nick said laughing, "and I was thinking she ran off."

"She was stressed but mother and grandmother Fiona spoke to her," replied Ashley.

"I'm sure that was helpful," said Tony. "Your mother ran away on our wedding day."

"A majority of them run. Sally is going through something very normal. She cooperated that is the important thing. Rather than taking the situation to the enforcement part." Phil stated.

After Grandfather's statement, the women and two girls came into the bar.

Amelia walked over and sat by her husband Tony. "Did Ashley tell you the wonderful news?" Mom asked looking at me across the table.

"Yes she did," I said eyeing my bride more happily. "I hope you found something you wanted to wear."

Sally stared at me and said in a neutral voice. "I feel so. Amelia is going to make some adjustments and will see how it turns out."

Compared to me, I could tell by her covered tone she wasn't happy. I got out of my chair and wrapped my arms around her waist and pressed her mid-body into my mine.

She froze from embarrassment since Cory's family and their friends were watching. Sally took her eyes off everyone only attempting to look between their mid-bodies pressured together. She felt on the spot from Cory expressing his affection in front of everybody. Yet, she also felt this desiring pull to wanna cuddle him too. But she fought that strange feeling and kept her arms pushed against his chiseled abs.

"I am delighted to hear you found a gown," I said and then kissed her forehead.

Sally rejected my affection and pushed on my forearms to release her. She was adamant to get out of my grasp when I saw her eyes flare mad. Without wanting to I released her. Pretty quickly, she stepped away from me. As my family and our friends witnessed her rejection firsthand with me as she crosses her arms.

"Of course you're happy! After all, you're the one making me do this! Why act so surprised? You gave me no choice but to cooperate with this whole wedding. So I couldn't imagine you picking my gown. I'd probably end up looking like a rag-doll." Sally spat out rudely.

Mom, Grandmother Fiona, Maria, and my sisters held their mouths from dropping by Sally's rudeness toward me. Even my brothers, dad, Grandfather Phil, and their men were stunned in disbelief. Meanwhile, my friends could hardly keep it together from bursting out in laughter. Firsthand again my family was seeing what a spitfire my wife-to-be truly is. While I wasn't surprised but rather amused by her feisty personality.

"Yet still, Sally, you failed miserably with your insults. You might wanna up your game there my sweets." I mocked further pushing her buttons.

Indeed, it worked to see her eyes burning like hot coal. "You are so irritating!" She hissed, "when you and I get married. You can just keep yourself on the couch forever!"

"If you insist on us sleeping on a couch then that will be our bed," I chuckled harassing her furthermore just because I can.

"You know what I meant when I said that," She said huffing.

Seeing what I was doing, Kimberly stepped nearby Sally and said. "Okay, you two could go at it all night. Why don't we head down and grab some food? Samantha and Clara need to eat dinner."

"That's a wonderful idea!" Amelia said excitedly and asked us. "What do you say, Cory and Sally?"

Sally was too irritated to answer thanks to me edging her on. I may have taken it slightly too far but at least she'll know I can handle her feisty side.

"I had some work to do but it can wait until later," I spoke since Sally wouldn't speak to my mother.

Nevertheless, I could see my mother's eyes lit up in bliss. Since after I felt dad's authority. I don't always get the time to have a meal with my mom. So I understood this was considered a special occasion for my mother. Then what made it extra special for my mom is Sally was here to join us.

Plus, Kimberly was right about Samantha and Clara needing to eat. Regardless of their immortality, the girls were still growing and food would benefit their reproduction system.

As one very large group, we went down the mall to this one bistro. Since Grandfather Phil was friends with the owner. In front of me, Sally held Samantha's hand as I noticed she wouldn't look at me. She did whatever she could to avoid me. I knew she was pretty upset at me for harassing her at the bar. Regardless, of her moodiness, I still found it comical.
