~ Cory got up from the log. "What's up, man?" He answered his phone and walked himself up the trail. Far enough that I could barely hear him. Nor did I see him anywhere around the thick trees.
So I stayed here sitting on the log. And I zoned out some by staring into the clear water. Soon I heard more voices sounding like Jay and Aaron speaking to Cory somewhere in the distance. Around that general, Cory disappeared. So I decided to ignore their mumbled conversation.
My mind drifted about what Cory has told me. I could only hope what he shared with me about this bond connection was true. Yet, I was shocked to discover Kimberly's theory was maybe correct if Cory told me the truth. In some ways I sorta knew this to be true. However, I still wasn't ready to fully except it.
My mind could only think more deeply to realize. There was no escaping this wedding. Nor was there any way of getting out of this Kingdom. My only one given choice was to accept this pathway. That bestowed itself on me in a very forceful way, I felt.
I worried greatly to think the women within the Kingdom are rejecting me as their future Primary Queen. That brunette made it clear they wanted Rachel to be the chosen Primary Queen. Yet Cory has no idea these ladies are not going accept me as their Head Queen.
I was heartbroken and utterly crushed to think my life imprisoned me to this fate of misery. I cannot believe I am breaking down to defeat. After all, that fight to flee, I only find myself back in the same position. I've attempted to run from. But I was out of options to find a way out of this wedding. Now I must endure what fate has chosen for me.
But I didn't wanna think negatively like this and thought about Maria. I'll at least have her friendship. So maybe little things like this will help me seek through the challenges. If it comes down to it, I'll have to inform Cory about the women. Or better yet, I'll have to take my stance and let them know I won't put up with being mistreated. They don't have to see me as their Primary Queen. However, they can at least be respectful and kind to me, I felt. I understand more than ever now, I had to be strong. Stronger than I had ever been in my life. Now I was given purpose and needed to thrive through it. Even in my doubt, I still must find my strength.
I eased my weary mind from this stress. And I focused on the lively sounds surrounding me. The forest was full of life between the water flowing, chirping birds, and critters squeaking or squealing. The wondrous sounds of nature filled my ears.
As I tuned my ears in full, I heard something that sounded like rocks sliding overhead of the creek. I moved my head around to see between the trees. Until I saw a rocky steep further up ahead. And found, I was caught up in the moment of excitement! My eyes must be dreaming to see this beautiful pure white full-grown wolf creature climbing over the rocks. The creature was beautiful, slightly vast yet slender, and so clean-looking. It was a sight to see such a magnificent creature as it disappeared over the rocks. I stood up to think I should probably find Cory. Even though the wolf seemed to go about its own business. Nonetheless, that wolf creature is known to be a dangerous species. Especially if it's a male like Cory mentioned, they're known to be far more aggressive compared to the females. However, I've heard females are known to be aggressive too. When it comes to protecting their pups but I didn't know if this is a male or a female. Nor did I see any pups but I felt it was time to find Cory. Rather than take my chance sitting here alone. For that creature to mistakingly find me.
I turned around and my mouth fall to the ground from fright and shock! My memory jarred when looking into those recognizable golden yellow fire piercing eyes and fur so darkened it was blacker than the phase night. If I wasn't so terrified I'd find this black-furred wolf creature standing here before me so astonishing. Seeing how I was merely six feet away from him or her pouncing on me at any moment. I am beyond terrified to even admire how extraordinary this creature is.
The beast stood about up to my navel. Its eyes laid fixed on me as glimpsed at the pathway Cory went on. At an easy pace, I slowly shuffled my feet in that direction. Keeping my eyes fixed on this breathtaking creature.
"Grrr!"
I jumped when the wolf growled lightly showing its canines while it steps forward my way.
"Aaah!" I screamed running for my life! I was panicked and hardly paying attention as I went around several trees.
"Sally!"
Thud! Ohh! Many dots invade my vision. When I collided with Aaron's vast built body mass and felt instant dizziness. As he locked his arms around me. In case I would fall from how hard I run into him, from the impact of hitting him. When my vision came back from seeing a few spotted dots here and there dancing around my eyes. Aaron's expression was quite shocked. But even more surprising for me, when those colorful dots vanished from my vision. Now I noticed Jay and Cory were here seeing me in Aaron's arm. Oh, this was so awkward, I hope Cory wasn't the jealous type. But who cares about that! A monstrous wolf is coming!
"Sally, are you ok?" Aaron asked still holding her in his arms.
Meanwhile, Cory and Jay were surprised at how hard she hit Aaron. Cory looked at her face seeing she was in complete terror. Her complexion was sheer white and ghostly.
"There's a huge black wolf!" I cried out panicked. "It's right behind me!"
