Chapter 127 - Ch 127: Tour the Mansion

Cory took a left turn and to my surprise, what I saw was breathtaking. This massive mansion is four times bigger compared to the one Cory's Dad owned. The mansion is built out of a greyish-white stone and is maybe four stories high. The length was extremely long, thick, and wide. It looked more like a palace compared to a mansion. The Mansion was ginormous and beautifully decorated in flowers and bushes.

I said astonished, "how do you not get lost in these buildings?" Oh, my eyeballs were pretty much popping off my face!

Cory chuckled at me and said quite mellowed. "You get used to it after awhile. As you walk around you'll see most of the rooms connect. If you're not careful, you'll end up back in the same room from a different entryway."

Cory parked his car in the left front lot between Aaron and Jay. His remaining Primaries parked in this lot and a handful of his man that followed us. Others turned right disappearing down this driveway through the woods. A few of them dropped off their families before driving down it.

Once Cory and I got out my eyes wandered around. Towards the left side view of the mansion horizontally across from where Cory, his Primaries, and some men parked in this left lot. There were tons of balconies on the second and third floors. Also down the left side view from where Cory parked was a plain view of the yard. There was nothing placed in this yard side except for some men standing around patrolling.

"Who owns this mansion?" I asked dazzled by it. As everyone walked off leaving me and Cory alone. I even saw Nick carry his daughter inside.

"It's our mansion," he said. "I own this place making you the second owner and lady of the mansion as my soon-to-be wife."

My mouth gaped wide, I don't know if I was shocked by what he said, or by how spectacular this mansion is.

Pretty much seeing her mouth drop, Cory said seeming to gleam. "Beautiful! Isn't it?"

"I've never seen anything like this!" I replied. "Then again I haven't been out much anyways."

Cory chuckled and said. "Before too long you'll get used to your new lifestyle and home. You're allowed to go anywhere here. I won't keep you confined to our room. As I said if you run away. I'm just going to come after you again but I think after today's incident. I'm pretty confident you're not going to run anymore."

By his confident words, he made it pretty obvious to me. That there was no escaping, even if I tried, but he was right. After what happened today, I was too shaken up about the idea of fleeing.

"I have no desire to even think about running away." I was being honest with him about this. Which I saw that glint in his eyes and plastered on his face. He was beaming in delight to see this time, I submitted away from the idea of fleeing.

"I was hoping you weren't going to have to learn it the hard way. That is what it's like out there whenever you run into the wrong crowd. You can't even trust some commoners when it comes down to it. Sabrina and Roger were commoners and look how they treated you. They were selling you off directly to the scavengers." Cory said pridefully gloating.

I guess seeing me give up on this idea was enough to make him glad. So I didn't bother to say anything back and walked alongside him while I carried my dragon egg box. Once we stepped inside my eyes were astonished. The Grand Hall was enormous, it had many doorways leading to different rooms on the left. Nearby on the right was this very wide 40 three-quarter turn type staircase. That leads you up to the second and third floors.

The Grand Hall had tons of men mostly greeting Cory with a head gesture and women that kinda stared at me strangely by Cory's side. It was a bit nerve-wracking but I chose to ignore them. I saw Cory's Primaries chat with a few guys but then left up the staircase.

"Would you like a quick tour or head to our room?" Cory asked me over the loud chatting crowds.

"A tour would be nice," I replied and followed him through the crowd. To this randomly picked doorway towards the left. He took me around many humongous rooms. None of the rooms had doors and each room was very spacious. Throughout the tour, we ran into tons of people and kids. Some kids gave me a curious look. But the women didn't seem to acknowledge my existence but they didn't forget to flash Cory a smile.

Cory showed me this ginormous indoor swimming pool room. The pool had a large waterfall on the far left side. That filtered through the back wall and came back out into the pool. In the center of the pool to the left was a bar. It also had seats and small tables above the water in a different section of that area too. Then more in the shallow water were built-in lounge chairs.

More towards the right side was filled with slides for kids and a watery play area. The pool was equally divided between adults and kids for entertainment. Outside the pool was filled was lounge chairs and bars. Many doorways would lead you to different rooms. Also, there was a huge hot tub on the right too.

Then Cory kinda wandered around to show me there was an outdoor pool. That was decorated in an rocky scenery with a waterfall in the pool and slides camouflaged within the rocky decorations. It had plants in the rocks and a fountain inside the middle of the pool and a kiddie pool area for the little ones.

"I have a meeting starting soon," Cory informed me. "Let's head upstairs, so I can show you our room."
