• My pals and I walked into the room as I noticed Sally on the couch with Maria and John. She looked nervous and drifted her eyes away. To look at her fidgeting fingers resting on her lap. So I veered away towards Nick, near the window. Since I acknowledge my presence was likely makimg her uncomfortable.
Near the window rocking his daughter, "Ok, we are all seemingly ready." I addressed everyone. "We're just waiting for Violet to get Samantha."
After about five minutes Violet my sister by marriage came in and got Samantha from Nick. By that time, Samantha was pretty much asleep in Nick's arm. When Violet picked up Samantha, she said softly to Nick "She should be fine. Looks like she'll go right to sleep."
"Yup, she's good." Nick informed her, "I'll be back later to get her."
After Violet walked out of the room carrying Samantha. Altogether we left out the front doors of the mansion. Where we were heading to a large black armored van parked at the front entrance. The van was just big enough to fit us all in.
"So Nick, why don't you drive?" Mike said already starting his jokes.
Walking near him, Nick said tiredly çhuckling, "No way! That's all I do is drive. I'm getting in the back and relaxing."
For a second, Mike laughed. "Okay, so who's driving?" Partly he turned around and asked, "Do you wanna drive, John?"
"No, not really. I'm still tired from the other night's dim light." John answered, with his arm over his wife's shoulders.
"Why don't you drive, Mike! You seem the most worried about it." Jay said çhuckling while walking next to John.
"Yeah, that's just my way of getting out of it!" Mike burst out laughing. "I don't want to drive." Kinda turning around again he beamed asking, "Maria, why don't you drive?"
Knowing he was joking around. "I have a baby so I don't count. Not to mention I can't drive!" Maria playfully said as she walks with Sally.
Most of the guys just chuckled at her comment reaching closer to the van. I randomly walked up from behind everybody and said joking around. "All you lazy, tired, whiney babies get the van! I'm driving! Jeez, I don't know why I bother paying any of you guys! By the way, I'm not referring to the ladies and infant!"
Almost everyone started loading into the van laughing at my joke as I got in the driver's seat.
Only laughing more, Mike got in the passenger seat and said. "Alright! Big Bossman's driving. He's our chauffeur for today!"
"You pay us cause you know you love us!" Matt jokingly said laughing from behind my driver's seat.
"Yeah, you guys wish I loved you." I said laughing, "I just hardly tolerate you!"
Meanwhile, Maria and Sally sat in the very back. As I just peeked through my digital review mirror from on the window shield to take a look at Sally. I was still surprised at myself that I actually got in engaged. Whether she knew this or not, I was kinda feeling awkward about it too. But it wasn't a bad feeling it was just a new experience for me. So I couldn't put it into words.
I wasn't the kinda hybrid-man that never talked about emotions with my pals. Honestly, I knew myself to feel cut off from my emotions. I did whatever heartless deeds to ensure my Kingdom stayed powerfully feared. I do whatever it takes to ensure my Kingdom people never fall into enemies' hands. Most would say the dark deeds me and my men do was considered quite ruthless and cruel. Ruthless or not I felt it kept our Kingdom thriving strong. In these heartless worlds we lived in.
"Alright, I'm napping. Wake me up when we get to our destination or better yet just let me sleep." Nick proclaimed sitting next to Matt on his left. While Mike sat in front of him in the passenger seat. Officially, I pull out onto the roadway leaving.
In the seat from behind Nick, Jay warned joking with him. "You know if you fall into a deep sleep. I'm going to toss you right out of the van. Right?"
Joking back as he shut his eyelids, Nick threatened, "Yeah, you do that. Just remember payback will suck and I will take full pride in it too. By the way!"
Jay, JJ, and Aaron sat in the same line of seats together as they each laughed at Nick's meaningless threat.
"Yeah, I don't doubt that one at all." Replied Jay after calming his laughter.
Yup. This was typical on how my pals acted with each other. The jokes and harmless harassing never seized with them. Sometimes it is hard to believe Mike is my fastest Primary was very deadly considering he is the top jokester. He is quick kiddish at times.
Although, I understood we were only messing around to help Sally ease up with us. However, I am not sure if it was working.
Whenever I took another glimpse at Sally in the mirror. She appeared seemingly unamused about the jokes while she looked out the window. All while I kept on driving.
