~ "Now we are officially engaged to each other." Said Cory gleaming at me.
"I wish you told me this from before!" I said sorta hissing, "I didn't realize we were going to be engaged by tonight's dim light!"
Seeing my upset face, Cory replied smiling. "I wasn't supposed to tell you anything about the engagement. The whole proposal was to be a surprise but I at least informed you about being my bride. I only skipped adding the detail that this was an engagement announcement celebration party for you. I kinda figured you wouldn't take it well if I didn't first tell you, I was planning on marrying you. Be glad you knew, I was at least marrying you. I just didn't tell you the full story."
I was so fumed right now! Enough that no words wouldn't even come out pasted my mouth! My eyes glared like a sword gouging out his eyeballs! Yet, he only gave a warm smile not affected by me in the slightest bit.
"I hate you." Somehow I managed to mutter beneath my breath as he give his charming glow.
Then he did the unexpected and pulled me into his arms snickering oddly! He couldn't have heard me passed the music and crowds celebrating! But the next thing I knew his mouth leaned in. For me to feel his tender kiss on the center of my forehead.
Then he touched our foreheads together and romantically whispers while gazing at me. "Hate me all you want but soon enough. You'll see, I am the only one on this planet that is going to protect you."
I was dumbstruck over the fact he somehow heard me pass the noise. He rendered me speechless from my sarcastic mouth. Nobody has ever cared about me enough to wanna protect me. Him telling me he was going protect me wasn't anything I've heard anybody say.
After staring at each other for countless seconds. I started pushing his palms off my hips. Luckily, he took the hint and released me from his grasp. Then I awkwardly looked around him seeing many celebrating around us with big grins. But then from behind Cory, I noticed...Three beautiful ladies walked up to us with bright smiles. Each wearing fancy gorgeous gowns that sparkled in gemstones.
The one woman with dark brown hair looked like Cory's mother. Had her hair styled in a neatly fancy bun. A few curled strands hung around the side of her face. Her eyes were a gray-green close-set. She had almost full lips and a small straight nose. Her face shape was a feminine diamond petite appearance. She wore a pink sparkling gown with earrings and a dazing white gold necklace iced in pink gemstones on it.
This woman said sweetly, "Hey Cory, don't mind us. We're just here to steal your bride away." She looks at me and said, "Come with us downstairs."
Cory's smile thin to blank straight line but his eyes stayed pleasant. So I got the hint this could be his blood-related sister since she looked like Amelia.
The second woman had light long brown hair with blonde highlights in it. Her hair was all curled and pinned in beautiful diamond hair clips. On the left side of her head and curled down her mid-back. She had a cute petite triangle-oval small face. A cute small up-tuned nose, hooded pretty blue eyes, and average lips for a female. She was wearing a tight peach dress with a lacy design. It flowed down in this extra sheer fabric, sewed in from under her breasts in a cut-slit design. That layered down the gown with a pendant of a white pearl pin in the center below her breasts.
Then the third woman had red thick long hair. She wore it straight with flowers braided on the side of her face. Her face shape with a cute round-diamond appearance. She had a short nose and her lips were more thin and dainty looking. Her eyes are a centered almond shape that were light brown. She was wearing a long red gown with a flower pendant on her hip side. Then she had on a red flower golden necklace and matching earrings.
At first, I hesitated for a second to follow the ladies down to the floor below. But I saw their kind smiles and decided to go while Cory seemed pleased about it. I followed them passed the crowd and to the staircase.
"It's boring up here with the men." The red-head said playfully by the wall a step down from me.
"I take it the third-floor area is where the men like to hang out?" I asked trying to smile.
The lady with dark brown hair from behind me said, "You could say that. But they are also watching out for any threats that could come. Cory is always on alert and picks the high ground over the low."
"Ohh," Was all I could mutter on that remark.
"The main party is on the second and first floor." Said the woman with light-brown-blonde highlighted hair who also walked from behind me.
Once downstairs we found a place to sit and talk from underneath the baloney. I sat from across the ladies sorta facing the staircase direction.
The woman with the dark brown hair said, "My name is Kimberly, I'm Cory's sister. These two amazing ladies beside me are married to my older brothers This is Violet married to our oldest brother named Kaiser. It took her some time to adjust herself. She's not from this planet."
Violet with the long red hair said. Yes, leaving my family was very hard for me. I was the princess of my homeland. My tribe is considered flower tenders. We care for many types of flowers. Then Kaiser being a traveler came to our planet. The second I met Kaiser, I fell in love with him. Since I had to leave home. Some of those flowers, I brought them here to remind me of home. But meeting my new family was such a joy. So I promise all will get better for you."
Then Kimberly said toughing the lady's shoulder by her right, "This is Ashley my best friend we grew up together. She was also a Princess from our planet. She and I did everything together. I never knew her and my older brother Dominic would marry. It was an exciting day to welcome her into the family as my sister."
Ashley said giggling, having the brown-blonde highlighted hair. "Now I will say Cory and Dominic don't always see the same viewpoints. But don't let that bother you with their constant bickering. Cory may seem cold at times. Especially, with my husband but I can tell you. It's shown a lot that he cares deeply for you. Everyone is excited you are back home. You may not remember but some of us remember holding you. You were so tiny and alert for an infant. You were such a beautiful baby. It broke our hearts when we lost you."
"We were so fond of you and just adored you deeply. We loved you the second we laid eyes on you in my mother's arms." Kimberly said in sadness.
Again I was lost for words as they each wiped away some tears from their eyelids. Now I was realizing this Kingdom was once considered my home. However, it didn't change what I feel. I had to find a way free. I cannot marry Cory!
"I understand everyone is happy I am home." I said having mixed feelings, "Guess I just need some more time to think. I'm sorry."
I bolted off my chair and didn't look back as I went around many people. Further in the table settings area from underneath the baloney.
