• I can't give the full reasons why we have ships. Right now, I didn't want her to know. I traveled at times, taking over other Kingdoms or Baron clans from different planets. I was seen as an invader. Only seeking out more power and taking all, I had conquered under my control. Truth be told I am a ruthless tyrant. My name is feared for good reasons. Sally can't know this side of me just yet.
I got out of my seat going next to her at the stone rail.
"My oldest brother is a traveler and he took a bride from another Galaxy planet. She has family on her home planet. They do make trips to visit so she can see her family every once in a while and we do own tons of ships." I only shared with her.
Sally asked, "Do you have just one brother?" Seeming to have an interest by showing a small glint in her eyes.
"No. Exactly, I have two blood-related older brothers and one older sister," I replied as she nods. "Then one brother by marriage from marrying my sister."
Lightly smiling, Sally asked, "So your the youngest?" She seemed curious enough to wanna know.
Without much emotion, I replied, "That would be right." As I kept my eyes outward to the view.
With more curiosity, she asked, "Who runs this Kingdom?"
"It was rightfully passed down to me by my Grandfather." I gave a simple response.
Yet, she raised a brow my way. "You're only within your millions age marker. Wouldn't there be someone else wiser and older to run the Kingdom?" She asked partly enthralled.
Turning my face towards her, I çhuckled inside myself but didn't show it. Her assumptions were cute, I thought. Since age wasn't the key to running a Kingdom it was about our strength power.
"I am the most powerful one from within my family. Therefore I have taken complete leadership to be called the Primary King. If I fall my family and Kingdom would likely fall too. However, as a Head King, it's always wise to seek advice from your wise elders." Said me being serious.
Confused, Sally asked, "Who would reign after you?"
Still peering at her curious face. "If a son of mine or any blood-related relative of mine. Born a son and that male child showed to outrank my power strength rank record scoring. I would graciously pass it down for that next younger hybrid-man. Once he was ready to take on the burden. To take on the full leadership of our Kingdom." I clarified.
"How do you know if you outrank someone's power strength?" She asked wondering.
I explained to her and broke eye contact with her. "We keep a record of our training. Training for boys starts by age eight and it's finished by age one hundred. It's only very basic but by thirteen. It gets more intense because the boys are learning how to be warriors. Once you hit your twenties and older things get intense."
"That's interesting," she replied crossing her eyes at me beside her for a brief period.
I don't think she noticed I saw her batting an eye at me. It felt nice to know she was calming down more from me just telling her partly false information. At least she now knew her name was Sally. Not everything I've told her was a full lie.
"There are also these competitions among ranking that start at age sixteen. Where the boys fight in these battles called Tournaments. They fight up against other Kingdoms and Baron clans." I added with a gleam her way.
She nodded. "How does this power strength and ranks work?" She curiously asked. "I guess I find it still confusing. As she gives me a glimpse.
Faintly smirking I explained. "For fully grown men it goes by whoever wins the champion at the tournament. Then he might get a position up rank, and his blood test shows how much strength power, he gained, to know if he gets a better rank. He'll gain this power through combat skills in training. The more you push yourself and train. The higher rank you will most likely become. If a hybrid-man doesn't have the momentum to do it. Then he will be at a lower-ranking or in the medium ranking.
She asked nodding, "That's how you gained the full reign?"
I grinned and said. "Yes. For me the record showed, I was outranking my Grandfather in each training course known as our six Divisions. I started training at age eight. Soon I showed potential and outscored my Grandfather's record whenever he was eight. After training and passing my course in each Division at age one hundred. My record showed I had higher strength than him through my blood work."
"Oh." She asked, "Would you pass down the reign so willingly?"
"If one of my relatives' future child out powered me. I could refuse to hand it over to him. From there a duel could be requested, according to the codes we live by. Whoever is the winner would take the Kingdom. If the younger hybrid-man was truly more powerful than me. Rightfully, I would need to pass it down to keep our Kingdom from falling. It shouldn't be about the greed for power among your family. Now in some Kingdoms, it's been known through Royal family members will kill off their unborn males. All just to keep power, because that Primary King didn't wanna ever give up his full power. However, it normally fails and their Kingdom falls because it's taken over by a stronger Kingdom." I answered.
Seeming concerned, she asked, "Would you do that in your Kingdom?" Rejecting the fact it was her home.
Catching on to her rejection, "Luckily, OUR Kingdom has the decency not to, for the most part." I said asserting that she understood this is her Kingdom too.
As her mind, pondered to ask nervously, "Do you take many wives in your Kingdom?"
I Kinda chuckled at her rejection and question but said, "Our Kingdom rules for the men is you can only take one wife, not many. And in our Kingdom we only marry once without any divorce. Unless you marry someone who is mortal. Then you can remarry once your spouse has passed into the permanent lifeless state or if any the marital rules are broken. You have rights to request a divorce. If you aren't married you can court however many you wish. There aren't any laws given being single for both hybrid-men and hybrid-women courting. But a hybrid-woman doesn't have any choice to refuse marriage if she is chosen."
Now placing my hands on her chin, I said a lie to her. "So if I chose you to be my bride you will have no choice but to marry me."
