Chapter 30 - Chapter 30: Cory speaks with his father

After taking some time for myself to mentally process what I just learned. I went up to speak with my father. Where I found him sitting in a meeting room at the long table. To the left side were huge windows viewing a garden. I took a seat in the center of his table across from my Father.

My Father has dark hair with a very short cut that he brushed off to the side. He has close deep-set eyes that were greyish-brown. His nose and jawline were defined and ideal. He had a masculine oval-square face. His lips were medium with his lower lip being more full compared to his upper lip. My mom viewed him his appearance as handsome and not aged one bit. As for me, I just viewed him as my stern Father. From his laptop, he looked up at me, giving me this faint guilt smile.

Cory asked, "You requested to see me?"

"I wanted to check on you. Grandfather said you spoke with him about the woman you found." Tony said to his youngest son.

Cory replied, "There isn't much to check on at this point." with some annoyance to his pitch. "You all felt the need to ever mention this to me."

With a gasp, Tony said, "You were a young teenager. Old enough be married but way too young to handle such a matter" He pointed out asking. "What care would you have for a baby?

Cory said, coldly. "If you had proof that this legend was true. Don't you think I should have been informed once I took overruling this Kingdom?" He asked snarling.

"Yes, I did feel you needed to hear it but it was a tricky situation." Tony gasped upset too. "Since we didn't know any information as to where she had been taken too. We honestly didn't even know if she was alive. We all know babies can die after birth from illnesses and other causes. Especially if they are not properly cared for. We can't start detecting if a baby carries the immortal Gene yet, until much older. Babies and some toddlers don't gain the Immortality Gene until their older. You know this son. This is why the elders decided to keep it a hidden secret. He tried explaining.

I stood up from my seat as the chair even screeches. There wasn't any point to argue about this anymore. My family chose the poor decision to keep this from me. So I must move forward from how I saw it. Trying to calm my nerves, I took a deep breath in and slowly let it release.

"There is no sense in fighting about this now. She's back, now I will decide what happens from here." He simply said holding in his vexation.

I didn't always get along with my father. As always, I still respect him as my father. So I didn't want to rudely outburst at him. When he had no control over that situation. Just as my father taught me from a very young age to always give your respect to your elders.

Their appearance was youthful but their eyes showed wisdom on what they learned and experienced with all they had witnessed during their long timing. Therefore it was always considered a wise choice to seek out their wisdom for knowledge. In which they learned from the timeless years they experience. Was something my Father taught my siblings and me. I turned around to leave.

"Do you plan on marrying her son?" Tony asked.

For a brief moment, I only turned to stare at my father. Not even knowing what to tell him and started walking away to the door again.

"Your mother will be excited to hear Sally has returned home once more," Tony added.

Then Cory turned around partly. "Yes, she will."

After my statement, I walked out the door.
