Nick went to a medium-size living room surrounded by luxury white couches and chairs. Already in the room was John holding his infant son Samuel, rocking him in a soft rocking chair near the window. Mike followed behind Nick. They sat down in chairs across from John.
"Hey, why did you shove me? He needed to hear that!" Mike yelled softly at Nick in a joking tone. He didn't wanna disturb the infant.
Nick looked at him shaking his head grinning. "Stop trying to be a match-maker. You keep pushing this on him, he will withdraw from her." He said trying to get Mike to understand.
John sat there looking at them oddly and laughed at both his Primaries friends and Bosses under Cory. "Not sure if I should ask but who are you talking about?" He asked anyways.
"The woman. Cory is showing signs to have his eyes for her. It could be a bond setting in but it's still way too soon to say for sure." Nick plainly said.
"Yes but, he keeps scaring her. He's not going to get very far with her. He's been debating marriage with Rachel! He's been back and forth about it. If this is a bond connection he needs to just follow through with it. He'll regret rejecting the one he truly fell for. If he does settle for Rachel." Mike said, expressing great worry.
"I can't keep up with him on what he wants. I just figured he's stringing Rachel along. Besides, what's it matter if he scares the slave or not. She's the misbehaving one. If he wants her that much she's his. No questions about it. Bond or not that won't matter. There are plenty of men in Cory's kingdom married without having a bond connection to their wife." John replied, really not having too much sympathy for the new slave woman. He hated runaways and disobedience.
Now smirking. "Ya, that's true. But he's definitely stringing Rachel along. Sure he debates to marry her. It's only concerning him that his enemies may have sons at some point in time. We are suspecting some might already." Nick said having his own opinion.
"If he settles for Rachel he will regret it. I see there is something different with this one woman though. It has to be a bond. Mike said, convince.
Nick çhuckled loudly saying, "He won't settle for Rachel! She causes why too much drama and has all ladies in an uproar."
With annoyance, John says. "Isn't that the truth! Maria and Miranda used to be best friends. Since Rachel has been coming around more. Miranda is turning into such a snob like Rachel. I can tell you now if my wife acts like that. I will break that habit fast! I'm surprised Justin (Miranda's husband) hasn't done anything about it."
Nick and Mike both laughed at that statement and agreed with John by nodding. As Samuel, the infant was cooing faintly.
"With time we will see what happens. I know he won't take Rachel. I've already heard she was in bed with Cory's cousin Frankie again the whole vacation. If he physically laid with her. That is looked frowned on and he'll be punished by the Elders if he reports it in that he did. Rachel is ruining herself." Nick said disgustedly at Rachel and Frankie.
"Frankie is the one who should marry her. She with him all the time anyway." Replied Mike.
"When did you hear this?"John asked rubbing his son's back.
Nick replied, "Cory mention it to me yesterday when I returned the girl to him."
"Shows he doesn't care about Rachel. If he did. He'd care she's been in his cousin's bed. Most likely laying with him. You get domineering and territorial over the women you crush on sometimes. However, you'll get territorial and protective over the woman you set a bond connection to." Unamused, John replied
Nick and Mike nodded.
Leaning back in his chair. "Cory has that look in his eyes. I'm curious if he will be territorial and protective with the new girl. That will show it's a bond." Mike replied with curiosity.
"Indeed! But it's crazy, about the slave girl too. I didn't think she'd run into Maria. That upset her for a little bit. But I think she's good now she needed a break from the baby and Clara too." John said thinking back about yesterday's encounter with the slave girl.
Nick nods saying, "I agree with you on that call John. It's hard for mothers to care for their little ones if they don't care for themselves too. It's looking like the little guy is enjoying Daddy time."
Baby Samuel was resting on his father's shoulder cooing and trying to lift his head to see outside. His neck muscles were still too weak to hold his head. John smiled and nodded to Nick's statement.
