Chapter 3 - Chapter 3

"Hey. Your Baani, right?"

What?

I rolled my head forward and a horrible pain shot through my neck. I was sitting in a chair, and my hands were tied in front of me. What...? What was going on?

I looked around the small white room and my eyes landed on a woman sitting in a chair across from me. She wore a a throw-up green sweater and she looked rough. Her lip was bleeding and half her face was almost twice the size of the other side.

Okay why was she so beaten up like that? What was going on?

"Hey," She said again, "Get up."

I blinked, not even knowing what I was supposed to be saying right now. "Who the fuck are you?"

She wiped her face and smiled. But she was obviously a little annoyed that I had just cursed at her.

"No. No." I sat up and tried to get out the chair, but was only restrained by the rope tied around my chest. "Who are you and where are we---!?"

A door that I never even realized was there opened and a short man in a white lab coat came striding in. And then as sudden as the door appeared, it was one with the wall again----as if it hadn't even been there in the first place. What kind of rich-people hogus-bogus shit was this?

The man looked Italian and had an overly large set of bulging eyes. My eyes followed him as he walked over towards the woman and took a needle out of her arm. Who the fuck was this dude?

"I see that both of you are awake now. Shall we renegotiate our terms, Ms. Patel?" He fiddled with a piece of his mustache hair and turned to me.

I just sat there looking at him. I have....no idea what's happening right now. "....um....? Terms? What ′terms' ?"

The man rubbed at his mustache and pushed out his bottom lip with false sympathy, "I don't think you're in any condition to be playing games, Ms. Patel. Now. Where. Is it?"

I glanced behind him as the woman slowly stood up, taking her chair with her. Even bending over, she still towered over the man by at least a foot. Damn, what was she....six something?

I glanced down at her hands. There was a pile of rope cluttered around the legs to her chair. Oh. Didn't even know she was tied up.

The man saw this as soon as I did and tried to run, but she grabbed him and pulles out a screw driver before digging it into the side of his neck. I watched as his body slowly fell and a pool of blood swelled up from his throat and onto the white floor. But when she looked at the body and then turned to look at me, I knew I was next. I screamed and picked up my chair, turning to run to where the exit had been. "Someone HELP! AHHHHH----!"

I felt her arm wrap around my neck and I was pulled back into a choke hold. "Heeeelp! Heeel---!"

The bitch growled and picked up my full 180-pound-ness and threw my ass at the wall. The chair broke beneath my back and I landed on my shoulder.

Ah, fuuuuckkk.....the painn...

I glanced up at the woman. She threw a middle finger at me as she walked towards the door. And to my dismay, it actually opened.

"Wait!" I pulled the rope off of me and ran after her. "Wait!"

But the door immediately shut behind her. I placed my hand on the wall as I tried to figure around for a switch or a button. Anything. And there was absolutely nothing, just a white, smooth surface.

"Fuck!" I slammed my hand against the wall and turned towards the room again. There were only two broken chairs, and the needle that was in the woman's arm----which was now crushed into fragments of broken glass and a yellow, gooey liquid on the floor. And everything was white. The whole room, from top to bottom was white. It was almost like I was standing in an alternative universe and if someone were to turn me over, I wouldnt know where the floor was.

I blinked, noticing the man still slumped over on the floor. And....he....just got stabbed with a freaking screw driver! What was going on?! I walked over towards his body and hesitated. Was he actually....?

I inched my foot over and nudged his body. He slumped over even more and his body turned into an odd angle, with his head facing me and his torso almost twisted completely backwards. I stumbled back as I looked into his eyes. The screw driver was still wedged into his throat, but a thick red and green fluid was rolling out of the wound and down his neck. Why was his blood that color?

I gasped, glancing at his eyes again, realizing he was still alive. "Oh---oh my god!"

He twisted his torso around to face me and reached out a closed fist. I glanced at his hand, it opened up to reveal a small needle. It seemed to have some of that yellow stuff in it. I backed away. "No....no thank you."

He stared at me a moment, his look of surprise changing to a look of disgust. And to my dismay he pulled the needle off and straight up drank the thick pee liquid. Then he rested his had back on the floor--and didn't move again.

That was so....I....what?

I took another step back and a cold breeze brushed over my back. Shaking, I glanced behind me. The door had opened....to a dark hallway. All I could see were flashing red and yellow lights and the faint grey of the shadows against the wall. I had been so desperate to get out....now suddenly I didnt want to.

I cursed under my breath, so scared that something from the hallway would hear me. My mind was mind blowingly loud. It was just too quiet for my thoughts. I didn't like it.

Not taking my eyes off the open door, I grabbed the legs to the one of the broken chairs.

Everything was ok, right? They just....they were having trouble with the power, thats all. And the flashing lights were just so that I could see a little bit in the hallway. This was a police station, I should just find a police officer....and...I don't know. I don't know what happens after that.

I stepped into the hallway and immediately felt like I just left a place of security. I glanced down both ways, the flashing lights making my brain disinorientated. I saw what could have been a human, or a monster, but i ignored it and turned right. It was nothing. It was just the shadows, it was nothing to be afraid of.

Something crashed in the hallway behind me and I screamed, whipping around. It was a piece of the wall. It had collapsed into a heap on the floor, leaving a black, void hole where it had been.

That...that wasnt creepy at all. They just....they just need to work on fixing up their police station. I was okay. I was going to be okay.

I forced my feet to walk faster, the sound of my scream still echoing in the hallway. I shouldnt run yet, I had to conserve energy. N-not....not that I'd have to run.

"EeeEEeeeeehhhh....ck ck ck ck...."

Huh?

I slowly turned around towards the solemn, dark hallway in behind me. What...what the hell was that? It sounded like breathing....mixed with a series of clicking sounds.

"Ck ck ck ck....."

I squinted and my eyes widened as a figure slowly crawled out from the wreckage in the hallway. It looked extremely muscular....like it even lifted weights in its sleep. It had long bone-like spikes coming out of its back and its face looked long....and beak-like.

It looked at me with its milky, yellow eyes and then suddenly lunged forward. I screeched and jumped into a hard sprint, the beast pounding on the ground behind me. At the end of the hallway was a balcony with a metal banister. I didn't even give it a second thought before I swung myself over.

There were rows of shiny, black sports cars in the garage below the balcony. My body dented into the hood of one the cars when I landed but I immediately jumped up and scrambled away, Not long after, something else landed on the car behind me.

Ugg! I...I needed a place to hide....! I didn't think I could run for much longer!

I took a sharp turn and down the rows of cars as I looked for a way to loose it. My eyes finally landed on a car with its car door wide open. With the last burst of energy that I had, I ran towards the car and slid into the seat, slamming the door behind me.

The creature, still hot on my heels, smashed its body into the door of the car. I shakingly climbed over the seat and into the back. Sitting on the floor of the car, I wrapped my arms around my knees and rested my chin on my trembling hands. The creature kept banging its body against the side of the car. But I bowed my head as I tried to block it all out.

....until finally...it stopped.
