Today was the day I was going to meet my dad for lunch and I was super nervous, I felt like cancelling our lunch date but Khalil convinced me to go and see if all will be well.
I really hate him for convincing me of that, but it just showed how much he wants us to try to form some sort of relationship with my dad.
Checking to see if I had everything and I looked presentable enough, I headed out to the restaurant we had chosen to meet at.
Arriving at the restaurant, my dad was already standing there waiting for me at the entrance with his bodyguard standing right behind him, I don't think I would ever get used to seeing them every time, well it is what it is.
"Hey, I hope I'm not too late?" I asked walking towards him and we had this awkward moment where we went sure if we were supposed to hug or have a handshake, so we kept it at a brief smile.
