Chapter 22 - The Other Side

On the drive down, he always liked to feel the warm summer breeze on his face, no matter how hot and humid it made him feel. In some spots, he could even spot an expanse of the clear blue sea and it was the only thing that the residents of the southern part of the island couldn't enjoy. There were too many buildings, too many houses trying to acquire a piece of the exquisite oceanic beauty for themselves, turning into a private enjoyment rather than something they could all share. Nick didn't mind it on most days. It was just another thing that made him better than the lower class living in Parlis Bay. But there was no denying that the view from the car as the deep waters followed the long twisting road was to die for.
