Loud deafening gunshots echoed across the castle which shook the very air.

Atala: "Stay back and protect Bella-sama, I'll handle the bullets!"

"Yes, ma'am!"

The girl who commanded atleast thirty knights who were hiding behind her back was none other than Clodwal's younger sister, Atalante Okamura. Currently being attacked by atleast fifty sarcian soldiers suited in black, much like the uniforms of the german soldiers in World War II. They kept sending a barrage of bullets at the Arkheistian Knights with their MG 42 machine guns which she deflected with fair ease using a platinum sword. The beauty of her swordsmanship was the finest the people present had ever seen. Atala had long black hair and wore the Royal Knight's uniform except it was far lighter than the others, the sword's blade as it swung always produced a bright white glow after deflecting a bullet. Every second, atleast a thousand bullets were being sent to her and to everyone behind her but she hit each of them even after it's an inch to it's target.

Yet another girl who seemed to be the same age as Atala was there. The third princess, Isabella Arkheist. She had beautiful crimson hair, blue eyes and wore a white dress with a blue ribbon in it's chest.

Isabella: "I-Is there anything we can do, Atala?"

Atala: "I'm fine, and don't try to attack them. You might hit me instead if you do. I'll act as a barrier, we will have to wait for reinforcements."

Isabella: "B-But, you've been doing that for five whole minutes now, aren't you tired? The knights will protect us, just take a rest."

Atala: "Even if you say that, I'm not that tired. Just a little. And don't even think about it, those aluminum shields of yours won't stand a chance against these weapons."

As they talked, a bullet hit Atala on the head in her last sentence.

Isabella: "Atala!"

Knights: "Atala-sama!"

To their surprise, the bullet bounced off of her skin as thought it was a rubber bullet that hit an impenetrable wall while the sword saint remained protecting them as a human barrier unfazed against countless attacks. The knights had their mouths wide open from the shock.

Isabella: "Wha-"

Atala: "I told you, I'll be fine. I'm quite sturdy you know."

Isabella: "I can see that..."

Atala: (I didn't expect controlling my speed would be this hard in reality. I thought things just become slow motion, but my movement speed, thinking, and eye movement just rapidly increased. I can't use my hellfire to burn these bullets either or else I'll burn down the castle as well.)

Isabella gave off a hearty yet awkward laugh as she watched the hero protect her people.

Isabella: "I'm so glad I found you that time..."

Ebelsdein, a plant loving city located in the east of Arkheist. It's land territory is atleast 410km in diameter. The third princess of Arkheist, Isabella Arkheist was tasked by his father to talk with the region's Count. Due to the active war taunts by Sarcia, the weapon production rate had skyrocketed and money is being poured in as fuel.

Isabella: "Another dealing... I just got back from giving an appearance to the Hill Village and dad is already telling me to go to Ebelsdein."

The princess gave off a sigh as she looked out the window of her one compartment carriage. Watching the trees sweep by and out of sight in the dirt road.

Her secretary, a middle-aged woman with black hair tied in a ponytail and wore glasses along with a fancy black suit sat at the opposite side of her chair while lighting a cigarette.

Isabella: "You really don't care if you smoke in a carriage with a princess, Kagami-san?"

Kagami: "I was personally called by your father to accompany you, Isabella-sama. And he said you will be in my care 'Fully' as he may call it."

Isabella: "But still though, I wish I could just go by myself."

Kagami: "If we let you do that, you will undoubtedly stray off and go to town alone and then you'll get kidnapped by lusty men and become their toy!"

Isabella: "R-Right. Like that would ever happen."

Supporting her chin with her hand, she continued to watch the trees go by.

Isabella: "Hey, what's that!?"

Suddenly, Isabella was sticking her head out of the window.

Kagami: "Isabella-sama! That's dangerous, please sit prop-"

Isabella: "Stop the carriage, this is an order!"

The carriage they were riding stopped as the driver poked his head out looking at them confused. But the only one left there was Kagami chasing the running princess who was going the opposite direction of their destination, after running for a few seconds, Isabella stopped next to something like a red cloak covering someone. The red cloak at it's back had something like a bird's wing painted in silver.

Isabella: "It's a person."

Kagami: "What's someone doing in the middle of the road? It's dangerous going out at this time because of monsters and bandits, even sleeping in a place like this."

Isabella: "We need to help her. Kagami-san, lift her up and place her in the carriage."

The girl covered in the red baggy cloak raised her head, the shoulder parts loosening and revealing her appendages. The two girls' faces turned a little pink.

Isabella: "S-So pretty."

Her secretary nodded to agree tight lipped as the girl blinked with her reddish eyes to look at them and back to sleep, her perfectly well combed hair swaying along and using the cloak's hood as a pillow.

Kagami: "Sh-She's really sleepy isn't she?"

Isabella: "I-I know."

The secretary looked around to see if anyone was looking or if she was with someone and gently princess carried her with both arms and walked back to the carriage.

After they both settled down, Isabella sat next to Kagami while watching the girl snooze on in the opposite seat.

Meanwhile, Isabella's forehead began to turn purple.

Isabella: "D-Do you think we're going to be branded as kidnappers? I-I mean, we did take her in since it's already getting dark and she's out in the open."

Her secretary had the same expression and her lips tightened and twitched as she spoke.

Kagami: "L-Let's just give her some money when she wakes up so she can take care of her problem."

The late afternoon flew by and it was now one past seven. The princess by now was reading a book and her secretary napping, the girl in the red cloak on the other hand was still sleeping without a care in the world.

The curtains from between the two suddenly pulled open and an old man's kind face slid into view, causing Kagami to instantly wake up.

Driver: "Your highness, we've reached Count Theodore's mansion."

Isabella: "Excellent."

Before the princess so much as stood up, something extremely loud generated from somewhere and the next thing they knew, they were watching in horror as the driver's eyes rolled in the opposite directions and slowly fell down as some blood spilled from the left side of his head.

Out of negative surprise, Isabella ran out of the carriage shrieking.

Kagami: "Isabella-sama!"

Suddenly, the princess stopped after getting out of the carriage and stepping into the count's large garden's fresh grass, staring in the darkness.

"Well well! If it isn't the princess! Glad I truly am that your father listened to my offer and sent you here to me."

A drawling voice from a man sounded from the darkness. Then moments later, the darkness disappeared and about five hundred knights of Sarcia came into view. Each wearing gray-green wool field uniforms and gray helmets much similar to the soldiers in World War II.

"Skill: [𝘛𝘳𝘶𝘦 𝘋𝘢𝘳𝘬𝘯𝘦𝘴𝘴]."

Clicking of metals sounded in the distance as thirty marksmen reloaded their Karabiner 98k sniper rifles.

Isabella: "Count Theodore... Are you behind all this? Why?"

Theodore: "I had to, princess. We were bound to lose to Sarcia anyway. That's why, I was tasked to kill you."

Isabella: "Wh-What good would killing me do?!"

Theodore: "Foolish princess, killing you would spark out the real war between Sarcia and Arkheist. That is when all your soldiers are sent to their deaths and your military prowess protecting your puny country will be wiped out clean. Then we can easily conquer your kingdom with our forces. It is far too late, we have already lost so I will join Sarcia and live!"

Isabella: "What are you talking about? We still have a chance!"

Theodore: "A chance? How can we have a chance against Sarcia with their now supreme military forces! Look at these splendid weapons!"

He snatched an MP 40 from a sarcian soldier and held it in front of him to show it to the two in a safe distance of twenty meters.

Theodore: "These rod-like tools require something called a bullet which is placed inside it and the explosion of some greyish powder inside the bullets push the shell at high speeds to kill the enemy in one shot. Isn't it brilliant?!"

Kagami clicked her tongue and hid Isabella behind her back from Theodore who suddenly pointed the rifle at the princess.

Isabella: "There was still a chance for us to win!"

Theodore looked furiously at her, as thought his knee had been stepped on by ten people.

Theodore: "Shut up, brat! You know nothing of this world! That is impossible! Unachievable! Foolish! That can never happen! That's why... I will survive. It's best for myself to go to Sarcia than get killed by them when the time comes that our country is conquered! And we, don't even have a hero to save us! I'm doing this for my family!"

Theodore placed his finger on the trigger and pulled it. At most three bullets came out from it's barrel consecutively.

Kagami: "Stay down!"

A strong barrier of winds was formed in front of Kagami which she conjured to stop the bullets. However, their momentum were too great that it passed through and hit her instead.

Isabella screamed as her secretary was being shot at in her bowels and blood was spilling in the grass, dyeing it red.

Isabella: "Kagami-san!"

Kagami fell backwards but was caught by Isabella who laid her gently on the floor. A look of terror on her face.

Kagami: "Your highness... Go..."

Isabella: "N-No, we can still call for a healer..."

Kagami: "Please... Just go... [𝘏𝘢𝘭 𝘓𝘶𝘮𝘪𝘯𝘰𝘴]"

In an instant, the darkness was cut apart. Something bright manifested above them. Much brighter than even the sun. During this time, everyone was blinded and Isabella was in the middle of deciding whether to run or fight. He knew of a spell or two to defend herself if ever push comes to shove.

Because of the multiple gunfires and bright lights. The girl who was in her deep sleep had awoken and slowly got out of the carriage as the light started to disperse and disappear. Blinking, stretching and yawning she looked at them.

Isabella: "Th-The girl, I forgot!"

The princess hastily ran to the girl's direction and blocked her from view.

Theodore: "You didn't run? Then I must commend you for accepting your fate and choosing not to make this harder for us."

Isabella closed her eyes, braced herself and spread her arms wide while hiding the girl behind her back.

"...I see, I understand father."

The girl's sudden words made the princess open her eyes and look at her.

Atala: "My name is Atalante Okamura of the Okamura Household, wielder of the strength defying sword and the daughter of Azathoth. It's nice to meet you."

The girl named Atalante gave her a gentle and noble smile as she bowed, right hand against her chest.

Isabella: "We have no time for introductions! You need to run!"

Atala: "Run? From whom?"

She slid her gaze from Isabella to the sarcian soldiers and Theodore who was watching them in their bewilderment of her sudden appearance.

Atala: "I see. So this was the warning father told me about earlier. I will quickly dispose of them."

Theodore: "Wh-What are you all doing?! Kill them now!"

Theodore seemed to have gotten back his wits from Atala's sudden appearance and continued on his task of eliminating the princess.

Atala: "I'm afraid I can't let you do that."

More than thousands of bullets were shot at the two girls. But each of them before reaching even a metre erupted in bright crimson flames and reduced into nothing, not even ashes.

Theodore: "W-What just happened?!"

Isabella stared in amazement as she watched the bullets burn into nothing one by one as they approached them.

Theodore: "Who are you?! Don't interfere with this unless you want us to gut you up!"

Atala: "You should first know your position in battle before saying those lines, you know."

Atala gave another warm smile at them as Theodore's face twisted in fury.

Theodore: "Y-You bitch! Not enough firepower! Keep firing!"

Once again, there was a barrage of bullets and the burning of gunpowder. Thousands of bullets were flying and vanishing in midair as they got burned before reaching her. Slowly, Atala raised her right arm to the heavens.

Atala: "Come forth, Unstoppable Blade— Limit Zangeki!"

A crack in space suddenly appeared while sparks of lightning crawled across the space on her palm which slowly formed itself into a katana with a red handle and ice-clear blade that had flame-like red curves carved on the blade to it's very tip.

She held it tightly with both hands and brought it swinging down to her side to take a battle stance whereas the blade's tip was laid on her front above her right shoulder and her left leg placed forward.

The raging rain of bullets pointlessly came one after the other without rest and burned from the head to the very end as it came close to Atala who wasn't making a single move. Suddenly, they started to slow down. The movements or the motion of everything around her seemed to have slowed down. Then something caught their eye, the blade of the sword Atala was wielding started emitting light and something was clearly being sucked in to it.

Atala: "You must be thinking why time started slowing down, right? Well it didn't. My sword, [𝘓𝘪𝘮𝘪𝘵 𝘉𝘳𝘦𝘢𝘬𝘦𝘳] is eating a certain energy away."

She suddenly disappeared in a haze of speed in her spot as thought she wasn't there in the first place, and everyone started to look and shake their heads everywhere. Then from behind Theodore, he heard a voice speak in a low petrifying voice.

Atala: "Do you know what causes movement? It's called force. And force between two objects colliding causes motion which is kinetic energy. My sword is sucking away that certain kinetic energy and converting them into my speed causing the motion of the surroundings to slow down."

He slowly turned around and to his disbelief saw all five hundred soldiers lying on the ground with their heads lying on the floor. Cut down very cleanly as blood showered the whole garden.

Because of this sight, Theodore's eyes started to roll upwards and he lost consciousness or in other terms fainted.

Atala: "It's nice meeting you for real, [𝘓𝘪𝘮𝘪𝘵 𝘡𝘢𝘯𝘨𝘦𝘬𝘪]."

Atala stroked the side of the blade which gleamed wherever it was touched as a sign of affection. Time slowly returned back to it's original flow.

Atala: "Even though it's our first time meeting, I feel like we've been together for hundreds of years."

Now that the enemies has been defeated, Atala started talking with her sword even though it didn't reply. She looked from every dead soldier to another who has had their heads cut off then back to the Count. She didn't feel the slight bit shivers or fear that normally people would feel when they encounter the dead or much less beheaded corpses.

Atala: "It sure is strange, even though I've never killed anyone in the previous world I feel like this is nothing. Wait... Don't tell me my character is a natural killer?!"

Her face turned purple from the thought as she raised her head while still holding [𝘓𝘪𝘮𝘪𝘵 𝘡𝘢𝘯𝘨𝘦𝘬𝘪].

Isabella: "Kagami-san! Hang in there!"

She totally forgot about the two girls that took care of her and jerked her head to their direction after realizing they were there. She turned her head to look at Isabella sobbing while holding Kagami by her neck and letting her rest on her lap.

Atala: "Can't you heal her?"

Isabella: "I don't know how, she's already lost so much blood..."

Atala: "Owh I see. I'm sorry but I don't have magic to heal her either."

Isabella looked at Atala while still teary-eyed.

Atala: "Is she important to you?"

Isabella: "She is, we've only met not long ago but she's still precious to me!"

Atala was thinking of ways to heal her, rummaging on her skills and looking for one that can restore life but couldn't find one. Then finally, she remembered how his older brother Clodwal used his [𝘝𝘦𝘴𝘴𝘦𝘭 𝘔𝘢𝘴𝘵𝘦𝘳𝘺] to heal his merging partner in the previous world and thought of applying her [𝘝𝘦𝘴𝘴𝘦𝘭 𝘔𝘢𝘴𝘵𝘦𝘳𝘺] here.

Atala: "Can you stand back for a bit?"

Isabella who was a little hesitant moved away and laid Kagami down on the floor. Atala approached and moments later suddenly turned into a blood-red slime which merged with Kagami by being absorbed by her skin. When roleplayers with the [𝘝𝘦𝘴𝘴𝘦𝘭 𝘔𝘢𝘴𝘵𝘦𝘳𝘺] skin is inside a body, they could still talk and think while their whole body becomes one with the other.

Atala: (That was close, her soul was about to leave her vessel already. If I was atleast a few seconds late she would have died already.)

She said from her mind as Kagami's wound started to close itself while the bullets were being pushed out of her body.

Atala: (Now for the lost blood. I need to do these things manually as my regenerative stats are not enough.)

Steadily and quietly, Kagami's body started absorbing the oxygen in the surroundings and Atala turned them all into blood inside her body.

The princess covered her mouth anxiously with her left hand as she watched the wounds close and her body reinflate to it's original state. Finally after one and a half minutes later, Atala slithered out of Kagami's body and formed herself back into her human form.

Isabella: "I-Is she fine now?"

Atala: "Yup."

Atala gave her a hearty and cheerful smile as Isabella went to check on her former fatally injured companion. Atala closed her eyes and took her gaze from her patient to the bright and unfamiliar moons.

After a short while, Kagami woke up but was still feeling weak to stand up or move.

Isabella: "Kagami-san!"

The princess tried to give her a tight hug but Kagami stopped her from doing so.

Kagami: "D-Don't. My body is still hurting, what happened? I thought I was going to die."

Isabella: "That girl we picked up saved us."

Kagami: "R-Really? Then we're lucky to have helped her. Good deeds are paid sometimes huh..."

They both smiled at each other in relief while Kagami rested on Isabella's lap.

Atala: "Those moons are beautiful, I want to fly there... Oh wait, I can!"

Atala became extremely excited of going to the moon but held herself back. In truth she really can jump to the moon if she ever desired, but that would leave a huge earthquake due to the recoil of her jump which she considered first hand and the problem about being unable to breath in space is also circumvented by her [𝘝𝘦𝘴𝘴𝘦𝘭 𝘔𝘢𝘴𝘵𝘦𝘳𝘺].

Atala: (I've never been in the moon before. Now that I'm in this body, there are so many things I could explore and do...)

She became extremely thrilled to the point that the temperature suddenly began to literally heat up a little too much due to her enthusiasm.

Isabella: "U-Um, it's getting hotter for some reason, Atalante-san."

Atala: "O-Owh! I'm sorry! And please call me Atala, just Atala."

Hearing her voice, Kagami turned to look at Atala who was looking intently at the three moons in the night sky.

Kagami: "Your name is Atala, I see... Thank you for saving us."

Atala was flustered and got embarrassed from losing her composure and being thanked so kindly that she felt a little too uncomfortable and thought of leaving.

Atala: "W-Well, I'll be going now."

She walked down the road near the mansion's gate but suddenly stopped, sweaty and lips twitching.

Isabella: "Y-You have nowhere to go, do you?"

Atala: "Y-Yes."

Isabella: "Then would you like to come with us to the castle?"

Atala: "Castle? Owh are you a princess?"

Isabella proudly stood up, making Kagami roll over facedown on the grass and done a curtsy by bending her knees and bowing her head. Her tiara with three sapphire gems gleaming remarkably in the moonlight. She also gave a gentle smile as she bowed.

Isabella: "Indeed. I am Isabella Arkheist, the third princess of Arkheist and the youngest daughter of Ashburn Arkheist the fourty-seventh and Harmony Arkheist."

Kagami: "U-Um, princess?"

Kagami lay forgotten with her face against the grassy ground after Isabella tried to introduce herself.

Isabella: "Oh my gosh! I'm so sorry!"

Atala: "Ahaha. Well then, let me introduce myself again."

Atala chuckled and placed her right hand against her chest as she gave a polite bow by lowering her head with a slight smile. Her left hand still holding [𝘓𝘪𝘮𝘪𝘵 𝘡𝘢𝘯𝘨𝘦𝘬𝘪] behind her back.

Atala: "Atalante Okamura, the third child of Azathoth and a member of the Okamura Household."

They both smiled to each other. Strangely, Isabella nor Kagami didn't seem to react after hearing she's Azathoth's daughter.

Kagami: (Azathoth? No, I might have heard Astaroth or something.)

Isabella: "Then we will have to go back to the castle. Later, I shall write a letter to father requesting for another transportation means to take us to the castle and take a look on Kagami-san's conditions."

They both agreed and entered the mansion to sleep after Atala made sure the mansion was safe. They left the dead bodies in the garden and tied up Theodore on a tree to be taken in the next day. Atala had to carry Kagami as she was too heavy for Isabella and also because Atala insisted("You're a princess, you're not supposed to carry heavy things."). The night passed by and atleast a whole battalion of soldiers came to escort the three of them back to the castle due to the king and queen being extremely worried about their daughter.

Tɪᴍᴇ: 2:00𝘱𝘮 (3 𝘋𝘢𝘺𝘴 𝘈𝘧𝘵𝘦𝘳 𝘈𝘵𝘢𝘭𝘢'𝘴 𝘈𝘳𝘳𝘪𝘷𝘢𝘭)

After 3 days of travel, Atala was taken to the capital then into the castle by Isabella to meet the king. After going in the castle's throne room which was more like an over-spacious office larger than a basketball field. Atala before meeting with the king gazed around the throneroom, looking at the many wonders in the office. There were many paintings of the previous kings and queens in the left and right of the walls and books from below them, the ceiling held fantastic ice chandeliers that didn't seem to melt even when she concentrated some heat on them. Atala read the letters on a book that said in it's covers "Targan Arkheist the 5th, died of age" and before she knew it, the current king was already in his seat, enjoying their excitement. Ashburn Arkheist the great ruler of Arkheist bowed to her daughter's savior.

King Arkheist had white hair, left curls at it's ends and had leaf-green eyes, despite his real age of 45, his looks were still very refined and looked like that of a 25 year old man. He wore a black doublet with two lines of white around the legs, mostly covered in green mithril armor carved with flowers. The long sleeves he wore were also black with six inch long golden bracelets around the wrist, each decorated by emerald-green carvings that looks strangely like kanji, his shoes were made out of leather painted in black ink. The most noticeable feature was his fur-lined red royal mantle.

Ashburn: "Atalante Okamura, I thank you for saving my daughter. I should have sent body guards with her but she adamantly refused so I atleast let a green mage accompany her instead. Though that didn't work either."

Atala: "I-It's fine, no need for your highness to bow to a peasant such as myself."

Atala gave an awkward smile to the king who spoke with fine language, sorrow and dignity.

Ashburn: "If you may allow me to thank you, what reward would you like?"

Atala: "If you say so. I shouldn't waste your graciousness, your highness so I suppose I will decide on one."

Everyone listened intently to Atala.

Atala: "So first of all, clothes and a shelter."

Ashburn: "And"

Atala nodded as confirmation, she indeed needed clothes as what she was wearing was still the red baggy cloak she was currently using but thought something was missing. To earn a living, a job is indispensable.

Atala: "Oh! And a job too!"

Ashburn: "Then it shall b-"

Isabella: "Dad! Let's make her the kingdom's Hero!"

Isabella interrupted. She banged her left hand on the desk before the king finished talking. A grin in her face.

Ashburn: "A Hero? Are you certain?"

The king took his gaze on Atala, observing her appearance which didn't seem like someone strong at all.

Atala: "A Hero?"

Ashburn: "What made you think that, Bella?"

Isabella: "She's really strong! She killed more than five hundred sarcian soldiers on her own."

Ashburn: "True I did hear of that, but is it really true?"

He frowned while still observing Atala's appearance and finally decided on something that could determine if what Isabella claims is false.

Ashburn: "Before becoming the king, I was once the Arkheistian Hero, and for you to be my predecessor I shall test it out myself."

The king stood up and gave a confident smile to Atala. Who in turn gave an awkward smile. Ashburn twisted the golden candle on his table to the left and a large archway opened up from behind his chair.

Atala: (A secret passage?)

Ashburn: "This is not actually a secret passage. That item was enchanted and the wall behind me to lead to another location."

She gulped thinking the king had read her mind. It led to a clean set of glass-like stairs which Ashburn urged Atala to go into with him, Isabella followed them. The moment they caught sight of light, they saw a green field with trees at the ends. They finally set foot to their destination. A large circle clearing surrounded by many oak trees. Atala turned back to look at the stairs but it was gone, it was but a large rectangular stone.

Ashburn: "Now then."

Atala's attention was quickly seized by the king who had taken off his royal mantle and gave it to his daughter for her to hold onto during the battle.

They stood fifty metres away from each other.

Ashburn: "What is your weapon of choice, Atalante?"

Atala: (I already have [𝘓𝘪𝘮𝘪𝘵 𝘡𝘢𝘯𝘨𝘦𝘬𝘪] but as it's too strong I shouldn't use it here.)

Atala: "A sword would be nice."

Ashburn: "Very well."

Ashburn: "[𝘔𝘢𝘵𝘦𝘳𝘪𝘢𝘭 𝘗𝘳𝘰𝘥𝘶𝘤𝘵𝘪𝘰𝘯]+[𝘍𝘰𝘳𝘨𝘦]"

Divine light poured out in front of Atala and shaped itself into a magnificent platinum sword colored aquatic blue and holy white. It's cross guard was bent in opposite directions. Creation magic was something extremely rare in this world that are only supposed to be wielded by the gods. But this King, a previous Hero shook that commonsense and created a beautiful platinum sword with his own power.

Ashburn: "I'm sorry if it is not to your liking, the best material I could make is platinum."

Atala: "Nooo it's fine! This sword looks great."

Ashburn: "Hahaha Is that so?"

Ashburn made his own sword also made of platinum but had a slightly different style. Finally, both the king and Atala had their own swords to use in battle.
