"What the heck are you doing. ", she yelled.
"You screamed! What the heck did you expect me to do sit in there while you screamed", he asked.
" I got scalded get me some ice cubes ", she asked and went to fetch them in the kitchen.
He placed his gun on the table and went downstairs. He came back and waited for her to come out. She finished having her bath and came inside the bedroom.
He went to have his bath and finished. He got inside his joggers wore a vest and joined her in the bedroom .
She still had the ice in her arm and wrapped a towel around it. Max looked at her and raised his eyebrows pointing at the arm.
"What?", she asked.
"What were you doing? ",
"I was testing if the water had reached the right temperature", she answered.
"Mmm ok ", he muffled a laughing sound.
She quickly unwrapped the towel and hit him with it.
"Awwwww".
"Get the first aid kit in the closet ", she said pointing at her walk in closet.
He went in there and came back with the white container with a red cross on both sides and took a seat next to her. She took and ointment and gave it to him to apply on her arm.
After applying the ointment on the burnt part of her arm Max came back with a box of cards he spotted in the same drawer he took the first aid kit in.
"Wanna play? ", he raised them.
"Do I have a choice? ".
"Nah I don't think you do ".
Seconds, minutes, and hours passed by and they were still playing. The games got even more interesting and fun than the last.
"You cheat ", she slapped his arm once again.
She lost, again and everytime he did she said he cheated. She only won the first game and Max called it beginners luck. The whole house was a quite and the guys were also done with soccer and went to sleep.

In the guest room the window was open and the wind lightly blew the curtains inward.
Ava woke up in the middle of her parents David and Rosaline.
"Mama ",she shook her with her tiny hands and she didn't wake up .She was fast asleep tired from her journey.She looked to her left and there her daddy was also having some peaceful sleep.
"Papa", she shook he daddy. But the was one thing Ava didn't know about her sweet daddy is that he didn't sleep but died every single night and he didn't hear a thing. He's always like this.
She climbed her mother and got down the bed as she smoothly fell on the carpet and went to the other door she saw in the room maybe she could get water.
She tried opening the door but it was too stiff for her to open. She pulled harder but it didn't open and even if she was able to she was too short to reach the sink.
She went back to the night stand beside her mother and took the glass beside it. She looked in it and there was no water.
"Ava want water", she said in disappointment. But then an idea popped inside the little girls head. The kitchen.
"Granny Nan is in kwichen, she'll have ater", she smiled to herself not being able to pronounce all the words properly .
Fortunately for her the door had a tiny opening when she pushed it It easily opened.
She walked along lighted the hallway all the way to the kitchen. She looked around but Granny Nan was not there like she was expecting her to be .She heard foot steps behind her and turned.
She smiled at the stranger that stood before her. She didn't care if she knew her or not. All she cared about right now was the water.
She raised her glass. "Ava want ater ", she pouted.
The man froze in his position not knowing what to do. Should he move, run, kill her, or maybe drug her. No he wasn't going to do that to a young innocent soul. But what was he supposed to do.If this child was going to scream the he would gag her. He scanned the kitchen for a chair and any dish clothes to close her close with.
"Ava thwesty", she said again and now she was voting and eyes started forming tears.
'Oh no what am I supposed to do now. What does she want. I can't understand anything she's saying but she keeps raising that glass ', he thought . He took the glass went to the sink and Ava clapped.
"Ava shhhh", he said looking at her.
"Ava shhhh", she repeated after him. He half filled the glass with water and handed it to her. She took it and downed half of the water at a go.
'Seriously, what is she a fish. Take was too much for her ', he thought.
"A good ninja ", she smiled and left the kitchen.
"Hhew ", let out a relieved sigh as she saw the little girl wearing Disney frozen pyjamas leaving and not caring about who he was.
He watched her take little steps back to where she came from and all he had to do now is continue with his job. Find the master bedroom.
He followed her but took another route to the passage that led to the west wing of the house. He didn't act like a person who didn't know the house. Anyone new could get lost in this huge house but he knew where he had to go until he heard the little voice talking again.
He turned thinking that she filled her but no. She was with someone else. An older person.
"Reya there is good ninja that give Ava ater", she pointed and smiled.
Freya's eyes widened her eyes in shock as she saw the man in all black and wearing a mask. It was them. He was right. They came.
The guy wearing black placed his hand on the gun by his belt but Freya knew of what he would do when he saw her. She quickly grabbed Ava by her arm and bolted for her bedroom. The glass fell on the floor and made a crashing sound. They needed to get to safety now. If only she could reach the bedroom on time. Then they would be safe.
Max was admiring his gun that had a silencer attached to it when he heard someone bolt inside. He raised his eyes a saw Freya breathing heavily with Ava in her hands and he knew that something was wrong and was soon on his feet with his gun at hand .
"They came ", she said in between her heavy breaths.
