Chereads / The Danish King Arthur / Chapter 4 - Herensuge

Chapter 4 - Herensuge

Dane, Uriah and Bathsheba were all three enjoying a walk through the Danish forest during spring.

" So, you two are married? " said Dane.

" Happily, and for many years " said both Bathsheba and Uriah.

Dane smiled as he noticed their love.

Dane now noticed a pretty little snake.

Dane now ran after the pretty little snake.

" Wait, Dane, snakes can not be trusted! " yelled Uriah, as he and Bathsheba now ran after the little Nephilim.

They ran and ran, deeper and deeper into the forest, till they came to a large wall.

Dane saw how the snake slithered underneath the wall.

" Oh no you don't! " said Dane, as he tried to grab the snake from underneath.

But that was when Dane felt that the wall had scales, and was slimy, and was moving.

Dane looked up to see seven large heads of snakes glaring down at him.

" Who is a pretty snake? " said Dane with a nervous smile.

The snake was not amused, and both Njörðr and Helios said;

" Dane, run! "

Dane was able to get loose and to cover, as Uriah and Bathsheba were blinding the creature with arrows.

Bathsheba was able to get to Dane, but the snake showed no sign of stopping.

" I told you that snakes could not be trusted! " exclaimed Uriah.

Helios and Njörðr were about to help, but just like with Sir Teodosio de Goñi, God(!) and Archangel Michael both came to defeat the Herensuge.

Dane, Uriah and Bathsheba thought that no one would believe their tale at the hall, but since this was the Viking-age; which meant that it was actually rather common for the gods to aid warriors in battle, King Hrólfr and his people fully believed their tale.

It was mostly Dane, Uriah and Bathsheba who all had a hard time believing it themselves.
