Chapter 9 - [9] The Evil Duo

The upcoming exams were getting closer and, as usual, Alexander was stressed out trying to study with the help of his twin brother. Maximilian had an especial permission to assist his brother periodically at International DeckerFord School, only because it was for academic reasons.

Alexander was studying in his room, buried among books, while Maximilian sat at his side.

"It´s not like that, again! Are you retarded!?"

"No, I don´t think so".

Maximilian wasn´t a gentle tutor at all.

"Stop being stupid!"

"I can´t!".

If he could be a genius magically, he wouldn´t be asking for his brother´s help even if it was the end of the world. An hour later, Alexander burrowed his face in one of his notebooks, and Maximilian sighed in exasperation; if it wasn´t because he promised both of his parents he´d help his dumb*ss brother to pass the grade, he´d let him drown in his stupidity.

The worst part of it all was that his chicken of a friends left him alone with this psycho. They didn´t like to study with him when Maximilian was around, so they ran away. Of course, deep inside Alexander couldn´t blame them, he would´ve ran away also.

"Can we take a break?" Alexander practically pleaded.

"Yes. I also need a break from you".

Despite saying that, Maximilian went along with him to the cafeteria. Wherever he went, curious and impressed side glances would follow him: maybe because of his uniform, which he wore proudly, or because he stood tall and imposing. On the other hand, Alexander was about to roll his eyes for the obvious attention, but he was already used to it.

Maximilian almost cringed at seeing the menu. This school was made for beggars, he was sure, and he detested every minute he had to stay there.

The brothers stood on the food´s line for 5 or 6 minutes, took their food and sat at one of the right tables. No one bothered to kick Alexander out of the 'witch´s side' seeing that he was with a student of The Honored Disciple´s Academy; besides, the students were too occupied studying on the other tables.

"And? Have you spoken to dad?" Alexander asked.

"Not really since my... our birthday. Which reminds me, are you doing what I told you to?"

"About losing some weight? I´m fine!"

No, he wasn´t. Maximilian thought.

"You have bigger boobs than most of the girls I´ve seen so far".

Alexander made an exaggeratedly offended face at the comment.

"I don´t have boobs, I´m a manly man!" He said, puffing out his chest like a gorilla.

Reality was, Alexander was on the chubby side. And yes, he did have boobs.

"Don´t change the subject. I was talking about certain unpleasant individual, have you been avoiding her?".

"Not really".

"Why!? Can´t you see she´s a parasite!?".

"Dad told me to make her company, and I feel sorry for her".

Sorry for what? Doesn´t matter, he´d make that leech leave his family alone, that damn hybrid. The Hamington brothers left the table soon after and went back to Alexander´s room to continue the study session.

Three hours later, they (mostly Alexander) decided it was enough study for a day.

"Well, I´ll be going" Maximilian said, standing at the doorstep.

"Okay. Bye".

Maximilian stood there, looking at his brother with a frown on his handsome face.

"What?" An oblivious Alexander asked.

"At least accompany me to the bus stop, you ungrateful b*tch".

"Okay, okay, sorry!"

Damn, his brother could be sensible about such random things, Alexander thought.

They both walked together towards the bus stop, going out of the main school building. But unfortunately, on their way they met with a particular short girl who seemed to be raising something small towards a tree?

A deeper frown marred Maximilian´s face as he came closer to the hybrid, despite the slight protests from his brother to stay away from her.

"The f*ck you´re doing!?".

A surprised Bianca let the almond destined for the squirrel fall from her hand, and turned to the person speaking. Her eyes opened like plates, but there wasn´t any other reaction apart from that.

"Nothing? A...and you are...?"

"I´m this idiot´s brother" He stated, pointing a thumb at an offended Alexander.

Bianca only nodded, planning her strategical escape from this obviously hostile warlock, but Maximilian beat her to it.

"I know right now you must feel like the biggest sh*t in this world for misleading my idiotic brother, but I´m not falling for it".

What?

"I also know your mother was my father´s wh*re, probably. Why else would he help some pathetic, starving women like you who doesn't have any relation to our family?".

The fear and confusion was leaving Bianca´s body, and now she was starting to see red. Meanwhile, Alexander stood quiet with his mouth hanging wide open just like his eyes.

"My parents are dead and I depend only on grandma; Mr. Hamington just wanted to help" She muttered angrily.

"Boo hoo, how sad!".

He just mocked her. He just made fun of her trauma, her pain, like it meant nothing. What a piece of garbage.

"Why are you suddenly hating on me? You don´t even know me".

"I don´t hate you; I despise you, which is different".

Wow, that sounds better; Alexander thought sarcastically, a small smile forming on his face. Bianca noticed it, and her body started to tremble in rage.

"You should´ve warned me he was coming here, instead of smiling like an assh*le!" She shouted in anger at Alexander.

Alexander looked at her seriously, and Maximilian grabbed her roughly by her arm.

"You don´t talk to any of us like that! You´re worthless, get it? worthless! just stay away from my family like the submissive little b*tch you are, and I might not break your face".

Bianca was trying unsuccessfully to break away from his grip, which surely will leave some nasty bruises. She couldn´t stop trembling from the anger, fear and humiliation she felt. No matter what she did, he wouldn´t let go, and she was growing frustrated for being so weak.

"Please leave me alone, please!" She begged.

A few other students watched them like this was a very entertaining sitcom, not caring at all about her. Unmerciful, heartless.

"Let her go, you´re making a scene" Alexander muttered.

As soon as he let her go, Bianca ran away from the mischievous glances taking everything on her not to cry in front of them. She wasn´t going to give them that satisfaction.

And she didn´t want to see those evil faces again.
