Chapter 18 - Jade Springs

Just like that, she had to move into Lu Zitian's home. It wasn't an understatement to call it incredibly expensive and luxurious.

Jade Springs. The most expensive, scenic and high-class residential complex in the whole country. It was jointly built by Lu Group and Zhao Corporations. It was previously a private property of the Lu Family, but then built into a complex with a total of 10 huge bungalows.

Each of these had a lot of private land surrounding the main residence and were fully equipped with the latest technologies. Although it was a little farther from the city, there was a private resident-only underground road to one of the busiest parts of the city.

The entrance was locked by facial recognition and only residents, and visitors personally acknowledged by the residents could enter. It was really secure and private.

The Young Masters of the Four Great families each owned one of these villas. The rest were for really influential political figures and famous personalities. The price of each villa was astronomical.

The most important part was that, the whole complex was surrounded by hills and clear waterfalls, hence the name.

Among the 10 villas, Lu Zitian's was undoubtedly the best. The huge metal gates, the driveway lined with exotic flowers and plants. A large lawn, lush and green with bright flowering bushes and a fancy fountain. The inside was even more beautiful. It was decorated in a modern style with minimalist steel finish furniture. The colour tones were all pale grey-blue and black.

It gave a very manly and mature vibe to the whole place.

An old steward greeted them in the living room.

"This is Old Zhong, tell him if you need anything."

Then Lu Zitian walked upstairs while Zhang Yuqi stood there frozen. She felt really awkward with everything. A new husband and a new environment. Lu Zitian seemed to notice her and turned around to look at her.

"Our room is up here."

'O-Our?'

Were they really going to sleep together on the same bed? But they had just met! Haihh!!! Forget it! After all she was his wife, they had already slept together once. If worse, they would sleep together again.

Once she entered their room, she was stunned again! The room alone was the size of her apartment. Their was a huge bed, a beautiful dresser and plush rugs covered the floor. Everything was in the same black and grey combination. There were also full length windows on one side which opened into the backyard. As soon as the curtains were drawn, sunlight filled the whole room immediately brightening the gloomy room. The view from those windows was absolutely breath taking as if a wonderland. The beautiful waterfalls, flowers, trees and an expanse of shaded cool lawn. There was also a swing, white and classic.

The other side of the bedroom had two doors. One led to a spotlessly clean and large bathroom, with a 4 person bathtub, a large shower stall and a large mirror. The glass doors around the tub and shower stall could be made translucent or opaque according to the needs of privacy.

The other door led to a walk in closet with a large dressing table and makeup racks. One side was full of Lu Zitian's clothes and accessories, the other side was empty, probably for her.

As she came out and stood near the bed, she saw Lu Zitian hanging his coat on the coat hanger.

"Take rest, lunch is at one."

He said and left the room towards his study.

Zhang Yuqi let out a huge sigh and sat down on the bed. Today was quite a hectic day. She got married and even moved into Lu Zitian's house.

She also realised that in this two days, she had not thought of Ouyang Ziyuan at all. Just as she thought of him, all the unpleasant memories came up.

12 years ago, her mother died in an accident. Although, she had lost her memory of those few months of that year, she remembered that her mother had told her a sentence, 'Never go back.' Even until now, she didn't know what that meant. Then she grew up to be distant and cold. Nobody could approach her. She would spend her time in a corner of her home, drawing and painting her mother's figure.

It was a very painful time for her.
