The game practice ended early more than I anticipated. Heavy rains is pouring down vigoriously again.
"Okay man see you tomorrow." I say.
"How's the tutor going on by the way?" Jensen asks.
"We haven't started yet, but we will meet later at my place." I say.
"I see that's good. Goodluck man." He smirks.
"Thanks. Bye."
"Bye."
I look outside from the school building and the rain isn't stopping anytime soon. So I text Ollie to come and meet me up for the mean time until the rain have slowed down a bit. I wonder if he still here or already gone home.
"You still here in school?" I ask.
Students are running against the heavy rain. Everyone is so eager to go home. I wonder when is this gonna stop. I hate this kind of weather when I'm still outside and needs to go home.
"Yeah I'm still here. Why?" He asks.
"Same. Where are you at? I'm coming to get you so we can go together at my place." I say.
"I'm at the science lab." He texts.
"On my way."
While walking towards the science room I can't help but wonder why did he decide to transfer to a different school in the middle of the year and why now that he's already a senior.
I see him doing a lab thingy with some chemicals. I stand next to him and seem startled.
"Sorry." I apologize.
"No worries." He says, blushing.
"What are you doing?"
"I'm trying to extract the compound from the DMSO."
"DMSO what?" I scratch my temple.
I sound stupid. How come I never heard such thing before. Oh well I guess I wasn't paying attention back then. I focus on the thing he's working on and I can't help it but to admire.
"Where are the others?" I ask, it seems that he's the only one left in the room.
"They left already." He says.
I notice. But I don't say it out.
"Let me help you with that." I say even though I have no idea what we are doing.
I grab the thong from his hand and he blush from the sudden contact of our skin. It's cute. I notice the small freckles on his bridge. They're cute.
"By the way, where did you come from?" I ask.
"You don't have to answer that if you're not comfortable enough." thinking I'm out of the line to ask personal stuffs. But the damage is already done. I grimace.
I see his face frown up a little. I guess I crossed the line there. But he answer anyway.
"From California." He says.
Long way from home. My curiosity sparks for him.
"What makes you go all the way up here? This is such a boring and lame town." I say.
He look at me and smile. "I just wanted a new scenery." He says.
"And what about your parents?" God damn mouth will you stop asking questions already.
"My dad is working all over the country and my mom died from a complication when I was kid."
"Oh shit! I'm so sorry I didn't mean to." Too late now to withdraw from those questions. I truly feel sorry for him and god I fucking hate myself sometimes.
I grab his left shoulder and squeeze them. I don't know what came over me but I had to. I wish I could hug and comfort him. I sigh silently.
"It's okay." He says fully understandable.

We walk out from the school to my place. I fish out my phone to check the time and see it's almost 5.
"Do you drive?" He asks.
"Yeah I do. My car broke down last week and I had to bring it to the shop." I say.
He nods. "What about you?"
"No, I don't."
I am pretty sure he is a reserved kind of a person. But I don't take it against him. I barely know him, so.
We arrive at my place and I introduce him to my family. I already said to my mom earlier that I have a friend coming over.
We go to my room after the short introduction. My family seems to like Ollie already. I smile.
We enter my room and close the door. He begin dropping the textbooks we need for the tutor on the table. I glance at him and say, "Do you need a shirt or something?" I notice that his shirt is wet from the drizzle outside earlier.
"Sure if you don't mind." I spin around to my drawer and grab a plain white shirt I haven't used in a while.
"Here. You can use the bath-..." I haven't finished what I'm about to suggest when he starts undoing his wet shirt.
My eyes plastered to his thin torso. Creepy much? But I still stare. He have a slim waist but like a porcelain skin nonetheless I wonder what it feels like to caress such skin. What the hell I am thinking. When he spin around he caught me staring at him and I immediately averted my eyes to my bed. I can feel a blush in my face. What is happening to me?
He clears his throat. "I like your room." He says. "Yea I like you too."
"Wait what?"
"No I mean I like it too thanks." What the f-...
"So math." I smoothly change the subject.
"Yea."
We begin studying a particular problem on one of my textbooks.
"So here's the equation that assemble to a cubing functions. Okay?"
I nod.
"The form f(x) = a (x - c) 3 + d as well as their properties such as domain, range, x intercept, y intercept are explored interactively using an applet."
"Also, equations of the form a (x - c) 3 + d = 0 are explored graphically."
"Here we will tackle such different questions to answer the given problem." He continues.
"The exploration is carried out by changing the parameters a, c and d defining the more general cubing function above." I scratch my temple.
He smiles at me, maybe thinking that I'm so stupid that I didn't catch any of what he said. Which is slightly true by the way.
He begin answering the first problem and explaining it to me step by step of how it is done.
"Okay your turn."
I grab the pencil and begin answering the next problem. I copy the way he did on the first problem. I can feel our body pressed together and suddenly feeling a bit conscious. But of course I don't make it seems obvious. His face is so near to my face that I could literally feel the smooth breath coming from his mouth. He looks at me and smile. He have a great pair of teeth. I smile back and finishes the problem.
"Hi Rafael." we both look up to Connie standing near at the frame of my door. She is smiling at me or more particularly to Ollie.
"What's up Con con?"
"Mom says dinner is ready." She says and runs back to the kitchen.
"No running." I yell.
"Come on. Let's have a dinner. I think we're quite finish here." I say.
"Don't you think, that's my line." he smirks.
I scratch my neck and pulls him outside my room. I wonder what his room looks like. I thought in between.
"Hi honey how's your tutor going on? Come let's have a dinner." My mom smiles at us.
I see Ollie is reluctant to eat. But I don't blame him since this is his first time coming here.
"I... uh.. I'm afraid I need to go home. But thanks for the offer ma'am."
"Olivia."
"Oh! Are you sure? Because we don't mind you eating dinner with us." my mom pouts adorably at him.
"Sorry. But I promised my dad I will eat dinner with him tonight." he says.
"Oh I see. Okay. Maybe next time." she smiles.
"Yeah maybe next time."
"Thanks again ma'..- Olivia." he says awkwardly.
"Are you not going to eat with us?" Connie asks while looking at her bunny slippers.
Ollie looks at me and I see the slight frown on his face. I shrug.
"I will next time, Con Con." He says.
"Really?"
"Really."
"I will be back in few moments mom."
She wave at me as I walk Ollie back to his place. That's right, I have no idea where he lives.
"By the way which part of town you live?" I ask.
"I live past the Wickery Bridge. Right from the school." he says.
"That isn't far from here. I will walk you back to your place."
"No it's fine I can walk on my own."
"That would be so unkind of me if I don't walk you to your house after helping me today." I say trying to insist to him that I have to do it.
"Alright."

"This is me."
When he enter inside, he turns around, "Thanks, Rafael." He says and closed the door.
I smile as I'm walking back home.
This wasn't a bad day at all. The rains stopped.
I guess I will be dreaming again tonight.
