After Tony looked at it, he bandaged it up and walked around me to look at me in the face.
"Giselle, please tell me what is going on."
I shook my head.
"I'm sorry Tony, but, I've been through a lot, and I still can't believe that I told one person. I just need to get used to living here and I need to learn how to trust you more before I can tell you what I really am."
His brow furrowed.
"What do you mean what you really are?"
Crap.
"Tony, I don't know if you've pieced it together by now, but I am not entirely human."
He looked at me.
I turned around to leave.
But he stopped me.
It's getting highly annoying for him to stop me.
He hugged me.
"Tell me when you are ready."
A tear collected in my eye.
"Ok."
We pulled apart. I am in the room that we had my 'check up' in.
The window was still broken.
I looked at Tony.
"I'm going to jump out of that window now. And I would appreciate it if you didn't try and stop me."
He nodded and chuckled.
"Yeah, sure kid, you've proven that you can handle jumping out of windows."
I chuckled as well before leaping out of the window.
Right before I was about to hit the ground, maybe ten years up, I looked over and was scooped up by Peter.
He held on to me as I squirmed.
I mean seriously?! Can't these people ever leave me alone?!
We eventually arrived at a clearing about two miles from the Avengers Tower.
"What the hell was that?!" I yelled.
"You were falling! I thought you were going to die!"
I slapped my forehead and turned into a hawk.
"Oh... yeah... right. Sorry, I forgot about that." He said
I turned back into a human and stared at him.
All of a sudden, my shoulder spasmed.
I screamed in pain and clutched my shoulder as I sat down on the floor.
He rushed over to me.
"Hey! Are you ok? What happened?"
I closed my eyes and gasped.
"My shoulder. Thor hit me with lightning while I was a dragon."
Peter nodded in recognition.
"Can I pull your jacket down to take a look at it?"
I nodded. Everyone already knew about my scars.
"Holy shit, that must hurt a lot."
I felt something touch my wound, but I thought nothing of it.
"Giselle, please tell someone about this."
I turned around a pulled my jacket back up.
"Tony knows. He's the person who treated it. He just doesn't know how I got it."
Peter nodded and slipped something in his pocket.
"Well, since I kind of ruined your fun by stopping you from going splat, want a lift to the Avengers tower? I have to drop something off."
I thought about it.
"Nah, how about we race. I've been dying to stretch my legs all day."
He chuckled and nodded.
"One...two...three... GO!"
I turned into a cheetah and ran faster than ever before.
I looked behind me, Peter was slowly catching up.
Soon, I was at the treeline, about fifty yards ahead of Peter.
I changed into my human form and walked the rest of the way to the tower and high dived it.
He swung to the floor about two seconds later.
I smiled.
"I won."
He looked at me.
"Yeah... yeah you did."
He avoided my gaze.
But, it wasn't because he lost, no.
There was something else in the look he had.
Guilt.
A ton of it.
"Giselle, i'm- I'm sorry for what is a both to happen."
With that, he swung into the building, holding something in his pocket.
"Ummmmm ok?"
I don't really know how to respond to that.
************************************
A few hours later, around 5, I walked in through the entrance.
I had been running all day so I was kind of sweaty and tired.
Everyone was crowded around the table.
When I entered they all looked at me.
Thor said, "Well, speak of the devil."
This struck me as suspicious. Like, super suspicious.
I walked over to the table.
Everyone was reading blood results.
My blood results.
How the hell did they even get my blood?
Tanner said, "So. You can transform into animals."
I looked at the ground and nodded.
Tony said, "And when you jumped out of that window yesterday, that force holding me back from helping you, that was you. Wasn't it?"
I nodded again.
"And the bruises and the burns. That dragon was you wasn't it? I hit you in that eye with one of my blasts."
I nodded. "Well, you and Peter. After you hit me Peter punched it."
Tony looked down. "That doesn't make what I did any better."
"Well, there was no way you could have known."
Banner said, "Giselle, why didn't you tell us? We have a right to know-"
Peter looked down.
"Right? Right? You had NO right to know! None at all! It was none of your business! I was going to tell you when I was ready! How the hell did you even get my fucking blood?"
Banner glanced quickly at Peter.
Then it all made sense.
Later grabbed me as I fell so he could trick me into getting my blood. The thing that he was holding in his pocket, that was my blood.
I looked at him in disbelief.
"You-You didn't. Please tell me you didn't."
He looked down again.
"Giselle, Giselle, I'm sorry."
A tear fell from my eye.
"I thought I could trust you." I looked down. "I guess I was wrong."
I walked away and ran up the stairs into my room.
I grabbed my backpack and stuffed my jacket into it, making a soft cushion for Splotch as I gently put her in there.
There was nothing else that belonged to me.
I could have to go pick up my clothes from my bean bag home and then continue on my journey.
I can turn into animals.
I will just survive in the wild.
I walked out of my bedroom door and down the stairs.
Everyone was still on the table.
They all looked at me.
"Giselle, what are you-"
"Goodbye everybody. It was nice meeting you."
I turned to the door and continued walking.
Tony came up to me in his suit.
He tried to stop me from leaving.
I used telekinesis to shove him back into the wall.
Peter used his Webbs to grab onto my wrist.
I used my telekinesis to crush his web slingers.
I then shoved everyone else back into the wall so that no one would get any ideas.
Then I walked out. Tears streaming down my face.
******************************************
Once I arrived at my bean bag I put all of my clothes in my backpack.
I took Splotch out first so that I didn't hurt her.
I felt a presence close behind me and turned around.
Someone with a long black coat and a black eyepatch was standing four yards away from me.
"Who the hell are you?" I asked.
"Mc Fury. I work with S.H.E.I.L.D and I'm going to ask you once to please come with me peacefully and quietly before I go over to the Avengers and ask them to bring you in."
I stared at him. Crap.
"I think you've got the wrong person."
"Oh, I think I do. We found your file in the HYDRA database and are about 99.99 percent sure that you are a threat. So, Giselle, please come along quietly and I won't make a scene."
I stared at him, and then turned into a small lady bug.
Then I flew away.
All of a sudden I heard gunshots, and felt bullets whiz past me.
I looked back and saw Fury holding a gun.
I can't dive in lady bug form, so I changed into a Hawk.
I dove and flew into the direction of the Avengers tower.
All of The avengers came out as I approached.
I looked behind me and saw two helicopters following me, and catching up.
Fury shot my wing and I crashed down.
I shifted my body and landed in the clear water right before I turned into a shark.
I could feel the Avengers eyes on me as they broke through the trees and searched the water.
Fury shot my fin, and this time, I changed into my human form to swim to the shore.
Once I reached the shore, I could tell that my arm was badly wounded and that the bullet went right through.
The bullet in my right leg however, was still in there.
I weakly stood up, no tears on my face.
I flipped my middle finger up at the helicopters and then looked back at the avengers.
They were all watching me.
I turned into a cheetah and slowly limped/walked back into the forest.
