The stress of second place never did seat well in my gut, I mean sure I'm the second even by birth and Itarogon's that looser who always gets his way, just because he was born first. Damn it.
Sarah and Migo are behind, I've got to find a way to always keep them behind me. If I wouldn't be the best then I don't deserve to even breathing the same air as the champions.
" Yohhh Sarah don't go out getting all excited just because I never gave it my best today. Next time, I'll be the one waiting for you at the top".
Present
The air in my lungs was suddenly fresh once again, the ground was much softer... infact you could say it was the most comfortable platform I had ever rested on.
I opened my eyes and I wasn't in the house anymore. The fluffy ground seemed to be one of hundreds of massive mushrooms. This felt like a dream, something out of a fantasy novel.
The house had either vanished or I was dragged here by someone...I say someone, because all my body parts were intact.
"First order of business, that is if I'm still alike, is to pinpoint some land marks by looking at the largest body round me. It seems like the most obvious choice is the massive castle due North from me... possibly a few hundred meters and everything else behind it is too far out into the dark to see... Damn this is too much work, why didn't Itarogon get stuck here".
The drop from the mushroom wasn't that big of a problem, things took a toll on the psycho meter after I landed. A loud granting noise echoed from the distance.... unfortunately all of my weapons were gone. All I was left with were my hands and my mind.
The ground rumbled as though the creature was coming after me. The mushrooms cleared towards the east and the noise came from the opposite direction.
The choice was cleaner and so I rushed to the cleaning were I found, believe it or not a Carat, the exact same one I shot with my cannon. It roared furiously at me before pouncing...at the exact same time a much larger AT jumped me from behind.
They both crushed into me and wrestled each other to the ground. There moves were too fast to see, but they weren't set on me walking out of here alive. The larger At was one I'd never seen before;
It resembled a bear with a thick, mossy, gray and green, armadillo-like shell on it's back.. topped off with bloody red eyes and a turtle chest plated piece of armor. It truly was a Beast of an At.
The Carat was five times smaller, but way more agrrasive. It used it's tail like a whip lashing the Beat-at's face, but also maintaining a safe distance not give it a chance to use it's big arms.
In an attempt to deliver the killing blow, the Carat inhaled a large amount of air before exhaling a massive amount of smoke. This was a move I knew way to well to stick around for. I rushed out of the cloud with my hands masking my face.
I turned in order to witness the final killing blow of the attack, but....
BAMB!
The Carat was blasted towards me with an explosive fire.
