Chapter 117 - Chapter 117: EMBRACING THE DARK

(Elenchos' POV)

Maybe I understand now why I don't have as many friends,

I...was too naive,

Believing that this battle between demons and angels would end,

All this time, I am decieved.,

A human can become a sinner,

But a demon can't return to light.

Because...in the end, maybe it's all His plan,

For us to cause turmoil, so the good would stand,

For us to roar our beliefs, as they shout theirs,

For us to wrong each other, but we're all villains nonetheless.

Good, bad, black, and white,

I believe that there's not much difference between wrong and right.

We believe, what we believe,

They have their own codes, and so we will.

That night, when that angel kicked me mercilessly,

A realization had finally dawned upon me.

No matter how I try to change myself,

If they see you that way, you're an enemy nonetheless.

If the world doesn't expect you as you are,

Your efforts will be wasted, you won't reach far.

Validation, love, attention,

That's all I longed for, without much hesitation,

I always feel different, lacking, unsatisfied,

Perhaps like my father? Maybe I got it from his side.

No matter how many books I read, they were never enough,

I still cannot escape, from this reality so dark.

I cannot help but side with Lord Lucifer, himself,

To fight those angels, who were hypocrites themselves.

They tell about patience, but look at us with anger,

They claim about love, but they dare not hesitate, to kill our sons and daughters.

They tell about Humility, but that angel fought me at sight,

They claim about Kindness, but who were they to decide what's best for us?

Who were they to claim they were well-tempered?

When they kill more than we, for as long as I remembered.

Who were they to claim they were forgiving?

When all I recieved, was bruises and scratches from all that kicking?

My father...though I do not believe he should be sided with,

I'd rather side with him, than those disgusting hypocrites.

At least here, they are what they are,

They're true to themselves, although to others they lie.

They don't hesitate with anything, they do all they can with this freedom,

I want to be like them perhaps, someone who doesn't give a damn.

Screw Mar's words that I'd ever mend the two sides,

I am not a hero, and we'd them, I'd happily die.

Maybe Sir Satan is right, that love is not needed,

It will only hinder me, much better to set it aside, and pursue the dreams I've wanted.

Hm..what do I want now?

It's too cliche if I'd go for the crown.

Hmm...ah, maybe kill the hero of this story?

To be a good villain, ah, hopefully.

What book have I been reading then?

Where the hero died in the end?

Maybe I'd try and turn that to reality,

Maybe until then, my father would be proud of me.

Then they'd look at me different,

They'd look at me, just like what I wanted.

A look of appreciation, a look of respect,

A look of fear, of which I rarely get.

...

Elenchos had more potential in him, than his father,

He's half demon, half witch after all.

He rose his hand, as his hate took over,

Making the huge pillar, melt assunder.

As long as he feels these extreme emotions,

He's capable of unspeakable desruction.

He's sometimes nick named as the third Abaddon,

For he can destroy things at an instant,

a stronger version of his father.

His heart was hindering him from guessing his limit,

So he decided to let his true self breathe.

The darkness, he embraced it now ever tightly,

"How dare the angels claim, that theirs is this victory?

Villains, heros, victims,

What matters most is the ending,

This isn't a tale with a clear winner,

Who dare tell? We can't change the future.

I've seen many stories where villains won,

Where they are written more relatable, than simply being scums,

As the hero, *sigh* the same as ever,

Always talking about not giving up,

Then doubt themselves again, what a f*cking loser.

Hahahah, I can't believe I sided with good for so long,

Boring, predictable, like playing an old song.

But now that I've cleared things up, maybe I can do this my own,

Chosen one, I'll find you, and you'll die for good,

all alone."

Elenchos destroyed a few more pillars,

As Belphegor assest, how strong he've become.

"Even without practice, your strength is jaw-dropping,

If you keep that state of heart, to us main seven, you'd soon be standing,"

"Thank you, Lord Belphegor. But can I ask something?

Can I help you kill that Seer? I'm tired of simply watching,"

Belphegor's eyes widened, but he laughed suddenly,

For a moment, Elenchos thought he wasn't taken, seriously.

He stopped, and looked at him with a proud smile,

"I'd be more than happy, just make sure you won't cry,"

"I'm not a baby anymore, Lord Belphegor!

I'll prove that to your face! I'm not like before!"

"Ah, sure, sure, for now you need to go with Beelzebub,

He's fast, so you need to be careful, to dodge attacks.

In a field with allies, where you can't use those destructive powers of yours,

You need to be fast and smart, be fast to pick a choice.

Since Beelzebub is great with one on one,

And can definitely be intimidating, whenever he runs,

You are sure to improve after this session,

Summon me quickly, when Beel went too far with this lesson,"

"I will, don't worry much,"

"I'm not worried, in you, I've put my trust,"

Such words made Elenchos' cheeks turned red,

It's like what he always wanted.

He smiles and looks behind,

Beelzebub, whose still famished deep inside.

"Lord Beelzebub! I greet you warmly!

I bow to you now, please do teach me,"

Beelzebub laughs, just like Belphegor,

"Elenchos, you're formal as ever,

Look at me as a friend, than a master,

One day, you'd sit beside us, with Lord Lucifer,"

He has his back opened, and there behold the four hungry monsters,

Of which help him, tear flesh and bones faster.

Elenchos was still mesmerized, though he've seen it a thousand times,

Although he wondered, where they came from, or what Beel hides.

Beelzebub wasn't as talkative as the other demons,

Because most of his time, was just him eating for a lot of sessions,

But it was quite a wonder, why he looked the most different among all of them,

Of why he recieved his curse, that was rumoured to mess up his head.

Elenchos cut himself out of such thoughts,

He'd save them for later, he can't afford to end up with a lost,

Beelzebub showed his fangs, and his orange eyes sharpened,

"Run, dear Elenchos, perhaps you have forgotten,"

One would not expect that the ever-eating Beel would be faster than most,

That's where the food went, one would suppose,

And even though Elenchos swore he was ready,

He didn't expect him, to bolt this swiftly.

...

(Leviathan's POV)

I perk at my window, as I continue to heal,

I see that young demon, being noticed more than me.

Why am I like this? Why do I feel so angry,

He was one of us, but...I am not happy.

Yeah, I'd like him better like this,

Evil, strong, someone that could take a hit,

But still, why were they more fond of him than I?

When I've done everything I can.

I've never felt this low before,

Especially now that they took that traitor.

She was an angel, how did I not see it coming?

She was so beautiful, too good to be true,

My weakness disgusts me.

No matter what trick they'd pull next time,

I won't believe them anymore, and they'd be sure to die,

And the next time I see my lovely Bella,

I'd whisper to her ear, "To hell, I'll see ya,"

Wasted were the times I thought someone finally loved me,

Wasted were the thoughts, that someone would, eventually.

Damn it, when could I find someone like that?

I really thought it was her, but she disappeared too fast.

If only we have a child, then we're bound to meet once again,

After all, a demon's blood, is thicker than theirs.

Hah, dear Bella, have you ever thought about me, Leviathan?

Have you ever loved the way I kiss you, as I ask you what more you want?

Have you ever meant anything,

Or is it too much of a demand?

All I wanted was someone like you,

A beautiful woman, that blew away my blue,

But...again, maybe I am not fated for such romance,

Maybe this is my curse, to die a lonely man.

How can't I escape this darkness,

Following me, wherever I ran?

Then suddenly, I heard someone knock upon my door,

I sighed, before checking the untimely visitor,

I was surprised to see Lord Lucifer,

"Leviathan, it seems like you've been successful after all,"

"How so?" I asked as I wrinkled my face,

"Rumours have spread, that angel you're with had been pregnant for days,

And since demon children develop faster than a human child,

Expect to be a father, in just a few months,"

"And who told you that? It may be a trick,"

"Samael, that neutral creature, came here, angry and sickened,

Sickened that you did that, but I don't really mind,

It's actually quite smart, that you two are then bind,"

"Ah, really? I still couldn't quite believe it,

I was just thinking about it a while ago,

But now...it's a reality, I didn't expect would go,"

"Be proud, unless they kill the child,

But angels doing abortion, eh, that's kind of wild,

I'm curious how they'd handle the situation,

So prepare meeting a representative tomorrow,

We'll talk peacefully, no trickery as an exception,

After all, it's your child's life in question."

Lucifer, he seemed too kind and mature today,

But I put that aside, I'm actually confused in a way,

I had a child, but what should I do with such information?

I did hope for it, but not sure how it'd play, nor was her reaction.

She must have hate the child forming in her belly,

Hate it, 'cause it reminded her of me,

Either ways, perhaps this is my revenge,

I'm excited for tomorrow, of how the deal would went.

Lucifer leaves, as I sat on my bed,

Dreaming of how it all could unfold,

Would I have the child, or just listen to what they said,

Would I see him at least one time,

And would his existence change my world?
