I look out the window when I arrive in the front gate. I saw there'a my uncles, aunts, cousins, and distant relatives. I sneered at them, because I know that some of them was only here to flatter my parents and take advantage of their kindness. I started to be indifference to my parents because I thought they were too naive and would grant whatever wish my cousins or relative had.
When I get off the car, I was being looked at by many people that some I didn't know. I just nodded at the people I know and ignored the rest. When I came into the mansion I saw my parents talking happily with my father's young sister family. I've never liked them, because they were always taking advantage of my parents kindness and thinks they had to be treated extra special.
My parents suddenly saw me and wave their hands at me. I could only smile and stride towards them. I saw both of them smile at my cousins who's a girl that is only in 5th grade but had these hypocrite minds.
"Dear, greet you cousins, uncle, and aunt." My mother looked at me gently.
"Hello! I hope you are doing well uncle, aunt" I forced a smile because I know what they were going, I only do not want to disappoint my father.
"You've grown so well, Ayame! I'm sure you had many suitors now!" nudged my aunt and uncle.
"Haha, you are so funny sis, she doesn't even have a fiance yet.. but we are finding one" my father says and look at me.
"Sure, how is sis cousin doing?" I asked and forced to look at her with adored eyes.
"I'm fine, I still have a lot of competition to do since I participate in my extracurricular" my cousin reply to me.
"Look at her, Ayame. She likes to do so many extracurricular and is an active unlike you. *sigh* I used to think that you were just going to be an ordinary employee. I'm glad about your future now though. I guess I regretted you not being active for nothing" My mother says.
"I heard that your distant cousin daughter have a boyfriend and soon is engaged? I guess she must have been really attractive" my aunt says to my mother.
"*Sigh* I know.. I'm really jealous, I wish that Ayame would have a fiance soon too but it doesn't look like my wish is being granted soon looking at how stubborn she is" my mother says with a sad look.
I hated this conversations. I was always compared to other people even though I had my advantages, but my parents always look at my flaw and try to fix it. I already tried so hard to be successful and become an owner of a multi-millionaire company. Even I myself is worth several millions, maybe now I'm worth a billion but they were never satisfied with what I had. I could only look down and clenched my fist hearing their comment.
"I'm sure she's going to have a fiance soon. I mean she owns lots of company that's worth millions of dollar not rupiah or yen, but dollars. Speaking of this, I wanted to ask you if you can renovate Shasha's room. Her room has been having with the walls and she wants a pink color wall and a new study desk. I'm sure you wouldn't mind to buy her that right? After all it's for her education and life. I hope you can just do that for her" my aunt says with a sad expression.
I sneered internally, I know that she's just putting up a facade. Why would she request so many things if she needs help. Are we her benefactor? Well even if we are we are only helping poor people and ACTUAL people who are in NEED. Not someone who already HAVE everything they NEED.
I didn't answer and just play with my bag, while my parents are just silent. My uncle looks at us awkwardly, at least my uncle still has some shame in them.
"Umm.. sure we'll try to search for it if we found them and have enough money to renovate her room" my mom says.
"I'm sure that Ayame could lend some money to you two to pay for renovating Shasha's room right, Ayame?" My aunt looked at me with brimming eyes.
"I don't know, aunty. I'm so busy with my company that I could only stay here for 10 minutes. Maybe if I have sometime then I would take care of this kind of matter" I smile sarcastically at her.
My aunt look at me like she was disgust with my attitude, but I didn't care because I AM busy with my company sooo that is a reason. I have no idea why my parents would agree with their request when they only get 500 dollar for their pension money. I give them money once a month, since they have everything served at home and that pocket money was enough to eat in a high class restaurant or to even travel.
"Please understand that her company has been getting really busy. You need to understand you're not our first priority" my mom says while laughed awkwardly.
"Alright, I won't fuss about it anymore. I'm just asking, so it's all for Shasha's sake not mine you know. I don't even waste that much money on myself" my aunt says with an aggrieved tone.
I sneered at her. I mean just look at her Gu*** bag and Louna Vouton outfit. IT FREAKIN SCREAMS MONEY! I wish I was a kid so I could throw tantrums and say offensive things without being judge. I could only ridiculed them inside my heart, since my father doted on his younger sister. I love my father very much, since he's always on my side since I was a teenager and I saw how hard he worked for his family so I wouldn't want to disappoint him. My younger father aunt also looks the most similar to my precious late-grandmother who made me feel like I was a precious person, so I can't throw shade at them easily and had to swallow all of my anger to respect my father's family.
