"Well, you should consider my request since it' for Shasha's sake." My aunt smile at me.
I just smile and look at them as I didn't say anything. Maybe because of that the atmosphere got awkward so my aunt and uncle excuse themself their excuse were, "it seems many people want to greet you all I'll talk to other family member then" and they left.
My father look at me, as if asking if do I agree with their request. I know that he'll give me that look to me when his siblings ask him something. I just turn away from him and get a glass of apple juice for myself.
As I was sipping my drink, a group of women suddenly approach me. I know who they are at first glance. They are my distant relatives who always mock me when I was younger and my parents likes to compare one of the girls to me the most. Their family was arrogant, but after her father died and we become rich they started to become nice and clings to us. I really don't like them the most, they just waste money even if we gave them when they need it. They would put a facade that they're poor, when in reality they like to travel to overseas a lot and buy lots of branded things.
I was too lazy dealing with them, but someone spoke to me.
"If it isn't my favorite cousinnn! I haven't seen you in a while!" Said the girl I hate the most.
"Hello, Vina. Hope you're doing well." I great them indifferently.
"To be honest, I'm doing well. My company isn't paying me well. I have been struggling taking care of my mother, you know. Ah! My mother here told me that I could work in your company if I wanted to. Come on sis, since you're close to the CEO and act like him sometimes you could give me a recommendation and a place for me to work in there." Vina look at me with bright eyes.
"Hahaha.. well I'm sorry to tell you Ed doesn't accept bribery even from me. You have to go through the trials and audition." I smile at her and sneered inside, 'Damn, she though I was only close to the CEO and not the CEO herself. Well no one is definitely thinking I'm the owner' I grumbled at myself.
"That's too bad, I was hoping you could help me with my financial situation by promoting me to Mr. Edward cause you seem so close to him. Just can you please put in good words for me?" Vina pleaded.
"Sure, but don't think it's a plus point" I didn't know she's such a narrow-minded person, luckily she was never in my company.
"Hmph! Now you're bring so arrogant just because you're a little rich! You don't even want my daughter to pass because you're afraid my daughter will snatch Edward right? Such an arrogant kid, you should be fire from that company after all you don't deserve all this rich!" Mrs. Kim the mother of Vina yell.
I smile at her and says, "with all due respect, Mrs. Kim. I cannot give your daughter special treatment because Mr. Edward doesn't like it when someone tries to pass the audition through the backdoor. Also, if you think your daughter is capable then I'm sure she could pass he audition through her own way. I don't know why you're saying such a hurtful word, but please do not slender my reputation. Just because you lost your husband, it doens't give you rights to slander me in public." I put my head down and tried to sound as sad as I could be and pinch my thigh really hard so that tears would come out.
When everyone saw this scene, of course they were all on my side and started whispering. Mrs. Kim looks embarrassed amd furious. 'Well, that's the exactly the expression that I wanted to see.' I laughed at her in the inside.
"I'm sorry, sis Ayame. Forgive my mother she just wanted all the best for me. I apologize on behalf of her. I will not ask you to anything anymore" Vina says while she gives me an annoying look.
I nodded at her and let my tears flow.
Everyone who saw it were whispering and I could hear someone speak about how shameless these relatives are.
"Well, then sis. I'll excuse myself have a good time for the rest of the evening." She says
"I will Vina, thank you" I smile at her.
After both stupid pair left, my parents came toward me and look at me worriedly.
"Are you alright dear? I heard about the incident from your grandma's relative. Did she hurt you or anything and why are you crying?" My mom says as she's giving me a worried looks just like my father.
"I'm alright mom, dad. Your daughter is strong, but I was just piss cause Vina wanted to enter the company using backdoor so I purposely embarrassed her mother in front of other people. They also insulted me which gives me all the reason I should do that."
"Huhh that's good. I didn't know Vina was this shameless it must have been from her mother. I know Citra has always been shameless but I didn't know it was to this extend" my mother says.
"It's ok mom, I'll just take a rest at home for the night. I feel so tired dealing with both of that mother and daughter pair, I think I just aged older when I talk to them. Do I getting wrinkles on my face?!?" I frantically ask her.
"*chucke* No you don't dear, stop it with this silly act. It's a shame that you want to leave Kai and Shiro is coming tomorrow. Come again tomorrow, that means lessen your alcohol intake so you could come here in time."
"Alright mom, I will. Just give me a call whenever they are here." I excitedly told them. Yup these two cousins are my number 1 favorite cousin. Kai is a mature and smart kid, which is the reason why I'll give him any of his school needs and rewards when he gets a good score. While Shiro is just a pure angel! I doted on him the most. I bought him all the toys and clothes put there when I know his existence. I just purely can't not like him, as he is the most cutest baby being on this family at least for me.
"Alright, inform me when you get home. Be careful on the way, don't tell the driver to drive too fast."
"I will! See you tomorrow mom, father" I waved at them.
