Chapter 50 - Strength

----Strongarm----

I remember my past very well. I wasn't born with any powers, nor did I even have the potential to awaken any.

That's what the tests said at least. The one thing I was blessed with was a body that above average in strength, not enough to be seen as someone with powers, and an unyielding tenacity.

When I got older, I started training my body, reaching the absolute limits of what was possible for me. When I had no possibility to become any stronger, I started training in any martial arts I could.

After this, I joined the army of my country, rising through the ranks at an unprecidented speed, I was an a path to becoming a general.

That's when I met Plamya. Well, met is putting it nicely, we were invading anofher defenseless country, because of this, Plamya attacked and decimated our army in one night.

The When she got to my regiment, most of us were cowering. When she rained her fire down on us, I was sure I was going to die.

At that moment, something clicked inside me, if I was going to die anyways, I might as well take her with me. I got out of my hiding place and attacked her.

She saw me coming and attacked me full force, not wanting any disturbances. I could feel my entire body being burned.

I kept going, I wasn't going to die without doing anything to try and stop her, I kep running towards her, feeling my muscles slowly being destroyed by the fire.

She looked at me in horror, I kept going, screaming in agony, just to stop her from hurting any more of my friends

I don't remember much after that, I didn't even reach her, the entire army was wiped out by her.

They didn't know how I survived, especially because I had been attacked full force.

My body was still severely injured and no normal medicine could ever heal me.

That's when a man approached, in the dead of night. He wore a cloak, the only thing that was visible were his shining golden eyes.

"Who are you? What do you want, and most importantly, how did you get in here?"

My voice was course, like an old radio. Like it was made with of sand.

"You can call me an undying traveler, someone who makes deals for his entertainment. I am here for that exact reason, I have a proposal for you, what would you do to be able to get out of this bed?"

"I would ask you what you wanted in return."

"Smart man, all I want is for you to join the group of the woman who did this to you."

The man laughed, he seemed so charismatic, I wouldn't be surprised if this man could even charm the devil himself.

"You want me to join the one person who caused me to have to make this deal with you in the first place? What do you get out of this?"

"Entertainment, like I said, I can't die, I want to see what would happen if I put you two together, also I want to have one favor, to be redeemed at the time of my choosing."

"I guess that's fair, I accept."

"Wow, I expected to need to try and convince you for a few more hours."

Now it was my time to laugh. "Have you never heard the story of our founder, The Great Zaggaroth?"

"Right, the fool who met a goddess, got blessed by her and then rose to power. Well, I guess that a soldier of this nation would realize it, seeing how your entire nature was founded with the blessing of one of my kind."

With that he started:

"Burning fire, faded brimstone

I beseech, undo what has been done, give back what was lost, bring back that which was his.

Burning fire, faded brimstone

I beseech, create what wasn't there, make him more, bring back what was lost.

Burning fire, faded brimstone

I beseech, let him be a reborn, let him be born from the great mother, bring back that which was killed."

His voice went ragged while chanting the spell, like someone who had smoked for years. His eyes turned red, the same red that those flames possessed. I couldn't see more, but I wouldn't be surprised if his face turned into that of the devil.

After that spell, I fell into a slumber. I heard afterwards, the entire hospital burned down, nobody died, and after they found me, I was completely healed.

When they tested me, I was in a condition beyond perfect, I was stronger, faster, my body had become more resilient and I was immune to fire, the irony of that still makes me chuckle sometimes.

After, I left, I found Plamya, my beautiful wife, and with a few others we founded the Order and the Mages Spire, the rest is history.

----???----

I stood there, waiting for his spell to finish. I know that I could do it better, I remember at least. Oh yes, I remember, that was the one thing I was always good at since becoming a god, remembering.

"Is it done?" I asked. He pulled his hood down, what could be seen was a face that seemed to be chiseled by Hephaestus himself, golden eyes that made you drown and golden curls falling around his face, framing it to complete the picture.

"Yes, Memory, it is done. I hope that you remembered well, can't have my child marrying someone that isn't the Strongarm you remember.
