Kina's POV
It's Monday today, it suppose to be my first day at Tangshan University but I don't feel like attending school today. What's the point attending school, right?
People judge you their impressions about you and your family except high expectations that you can't even achieve.
"Kina! Here's your uniform." Kim said.
"I don't feel like attending school!" I yelled.
Well Kim is my older sister, she also attended Tangshan University but she already graduated and has a successful career and here I am studying. Let me tell you a story and it all started here.
I'm Kina Hyun the adopted child of Hyun family. Not a long time ago, my biological mother gave me to Mrs. Hyun and Mr. Hyun as a reward? No, I'm joking. My biological mother gave me to Mrs. Hyun because of not able to produce an infant or let's just say a "baby". Then how about your sister? My sister? Well Kim is a biological child of Mrs. Hyun but after she gave birth to Kim, she's not able to produce another infant because of her age. That's why they adopt me as a little sister of Kim.
I don't resent my family, it's just I don't know I'm confused. Because when we're growing up together they treat us fair but when we aged and start middle school, mom become more and more mad at me and dad is the one who really likes me but in the end both of them are mad at me and both of them really likes Kim. They always tell me that I should be like Kim, a smart and wise daughter.
I didn't like growing up without their support, I'm also smart enough to prove them that I can be like Kim and a better version of Kim.
But then hearing over and over that I should be Kim and I should be smart like her is just annoying! I'm already mature enough to be fooled by them so that's why I give up, I do have the guts but I don't have any motivation nor determination.
"Come on, it's your first day at school you should be happy about it." Kim laugh genuinely.
"What's funny about it?" I asked.
"Come on, you don't remember?" Kim asked.
"Remember what?!" I glared.
"It's your first day and you should make a good impression and reputation to your school because Tangshan is more different type of University than other universities." Kim explained.
"Oh, that first impression thingy. I wouldn't even care about their impressions about me because I've already got shits in my life and our clan or what I mean is your clan doesn't even accept me as a Hyun." I replied.
"Kina, it's not like that. You know that mom and dad loved you and they just want nothing but the best for you." Kim started.
"Best my ass!" I yelled.
"I'm going at school now, give me my credit card." I said.
"Not, until you say goodbye to mom and dad." Kim replied.
"Never!" I said.
"Then no credit card." Kim laughs.
"Give it to me, I'm gonna be late!" I yelled.
"I'm not kidding, you should say goodbye to mom and dad before going to school." Kim said.
"Fine..." I sighed.
I go to my mom and dad's room to say goodbye and all I hear is be good at school be like my sister "a valedictorian" blah blah blah. It's so annoying hearing the same thing over and over again.
"So, how did it go?" Kim asked.
I glared at her.
"Here's your credit card and I packed you some fruits, Bye sister be good and watch your actions. You don't want to be the same slut again right? Just be humble and choose your friend wisely!" Kim laughs while saying it.
"Yeah yeah, whatever." I said annoyingly.
While waiting at the bus station, I saw this man using some earphones and walking at the pedestrian lane and there's this truck coming towards him and I run towards him and pretend to know him so I put my arms around his shoulder and make him walk fast, because he's so slow at walking and the truck is near.
"Who are you?! Do I even know you miss? The stranger asked.
"There's no more time for chit chatting with you dude, the truck is near to us and you're walking like this is not a road for vehicles." I replied.
"Gosh, you've got to be kidding me. Why save a slow walker man even if it's a stranger? By the way I'm Jinjin."
"I'm Kina, we're safe now. Next time when you're going cross the road don't forget to remove your earphones so you won't get hit by a truck." I replied.
"I gotta go now. By the way nice meeting you Kina and thank you!" Jinjin said.
"Bye. Phew" I laughed genuinely.
After a minute ago.
"Wait, are you following me?" Jinjin asked.
"What, no! I'm going to Tangshan University." I said.
"Oh, so you're a student at Tangshan University?" Jinjin asked.
"Yes." I replied.
"I heard entrance exam are kinda hard." Jinjin stated.
"Yeah, you gotta have a point and I barely pass." I laughed.
"What is your entrance test average?" Jinjin asked.
"Uh... Around 100%" I said.
"You've gotta be kidding me, 100% is the highest over 190. You're pretty smart." Jinjin amazed.
"Nah, I'm not. The test is more about logic and mathematical problems." I stated.
"What kind of major are you in?" Jinjin asked.
"Physics Major, why?" I replied.
"Oh, I have a friend that has a same major like yours. You might met him and he's really nice but unapproachable." Jinjin said.
"Oh, pretty please say to that friend of yours, that I'm not interested at having relationship at guys right now." I laughed genuinely.
"No, he probably won't date you." Jinjin laugh.
"Excuse me?" I glared at him.
"No, he probably won't date you because he sucks at relationship." Jinjin explained.
"Oh, I get it and you know what you're funny and it's good meeting you Jinjin." I smiled at him.
"It's nice meeting you too, I never have a friends like girls so it's kinda cool talking with you while walking to school." Jinjin replied.
"Anyways, we're here. I gotta go find my building Jinjin." I said.
"Ok, see you around Kin!" Jinjin said.
"See you around Jin." I smiled at him.
