She couldn't believe she just agreed.
Mia did not feel like it was a bad idea to teach Clyde, since she thought it was right to help someone who needed her.
'I hope Greta will be fine with it' Mia thought.
"Okay, Thanks Mia, you are definitely a life savour, just give me your home address." Clyde did not expect the new girl to accept helping him.
"She's so cute" He mumbled to himself as Mia walked away after excusing herself.
She went to the fascinating hallway with the beautiful paintings on the walls and ceiling.
It was when she noticed an art class. She observed how the students moved the painting brush like professionals. She was so distracted that she didn't realize someone was behind her.
No sooner had she turned around, than she bumped into someone.
"You like art? Now that is one thing we have in common," Mia stared into his light brown eyes, and his light brown hair that matched his light brown eyebrows and eyelashes.
"Do you perhaps paint Liam?" Mia asked with her eyes beaming in excitement.
"Uh, no, I quitted, I don't think painting was my thing. You're distracted, am glad you love Cambridge school. The bell is about to ring, do you mind If I walk with you to class?" He glanced at his watch.
"I don't mind, thank you," They walked together until Liam broke the silence.
"How did you calculate that Math problem during Physics? I must say, you are really smart,"
Mia thought for a while before answering.
"I...I...I just, I am no...not sure, I just calculated it normally," Mia stammered because she didn't really know.
They arrived in front of their classroom, which was at fifth floor, yet they didn't use the elevator because they were engrossed in a conversion.
They entered the class to find everyone settled except for Clyde and Clara.
Immediately the bell rang, the two entered the class, Clara holding Clyde's arm like the couple they were. But Mia noticed how Clyde had a displeased look on his face.
The rest of their school hours went on like that, and it was time to go home. Zane, Raquel and Mia met at the school gate.
It wasn't a surprise to find Davis, the chauffeur, waiting for them, with a different car this time.
Raquel's family with no doubt were rich people
Davis' creepy eyes were set on Mia, as she entered the pink car.
Mia realized this was Raquel's car, since at the side of the doors, it was painted letter 'R', and inside, the chairs were printed with Raquel's beautiful face.
The car was huge with big tyres. It was high that Zane had to help Mia and Raquel climb it.
It was indeed a fancy car!
Everyone's attention in school was drawn to the humongous car.
"So, Mia, how was your first day at school? Did you like it? Did you make friends?" Zane asked her as he sat next to her at the back seat. Raquel had sat at the front seat.
"It was nice and I loved it. I don't know if I made friends but only two people were nice to me, Clyde and Liam," Mia said smiling, and unexpectedly, Zane and Raquel looked at her.
"Whattt!!" the two exclaimed in unison.
Zane: Mia, avoid that bastard, Clyde, and his Best friend Liam. They are up to no good. Clyde is the infamous school bully only loved by mindless girls. Liam is always beside Clyde and they do what they want.
Mia: But.. they .... I.. OK..ay.
Raquel: No Zane. Let Mia befriend them, then we can use that to our advantage to revenge.
Zane: No Raquel, as her best friend I disagree. Let them be. Did what Clara say true?
Raquel: Let's talk about that later.. in private.
Davis, drop Mia at her house after you've dropped me and Zane at his house.
After they alighted, Mia felt bad because she didn't tell them about Clyde coming for studies on Saturdays.
When they reached Mia's house, Davis passed it!!!
At first, Mia thought he was going to turn around, but he didn't.
The pace of the car increased!
"Um, Davis, I you passed, our house is right there, Davis, please go back," Mia's words turned into vain, it was as if he did not hear her.
She was literally trembling helplessly.
"Are you kidnapping me?"
"Yes," came his short reply. His voice was husky, it was the first time Mia heard his voice. He only nodded or shaked his head when Raquel asked him a question.
"Please.. I..I beg you, it was my first time experiencing happiness after 13 years of misery. Please Davis, I wanna go back home to my family, I promise if you let me go I won't utter a word to anyone. Greta has no ransom money, she spent it all on my school fees," Mia thought the man only kidnapped her for money.
"Listen girl, I don't want your pathetic money, I just need you, not that I need you, I am kidnapping you for a short time then I will take you home safely, just shut up and stay calm, I won't hurt you," he added, but then, he drifted the car into the woods with trees, and came to a grinding halt
"Listen girl, we are gonna alight, just follow me and don't make me use force against you." He glared at the girl with his red eyes, still wearing his face mask. No one actually knew
how he looked like.
He stared at the girl who was still reluctant to get off from the car. The forest was a dangerous place to be, and no one was allowed to trespasses.
Davis angrily opened the car's door and held out his hand for the scared girl to take.
Mia stared at his big hand for a while, and placed her small hand in his. He gently helped her down and immediately let go. As they walked deeper into the woods, Mia was plotting how to evade the seemingly dangerous man. He was easily angered, but so gentle, what a weird guy.
The walked side by side. Mia made up her mind to ran as fast as her heels could take her.
She sprinted, and craned her neck back to see Davis lowering his eyes. She was finally happy, but when she turned her head in front, someone landed in front of her, and she was caught by the arm. 'Did he just fly?!!'Mia's heart throbbed.
"Uh uh, I told you to behave, Mia, I said I won't hurt, now don't waste time," Davis clasped her arm tight enough to make her wince.
His agile strides made Mia find it hard to keep up with him. She was like a baby and her father.
Mia came up with another plan that would make him give up on kidnapping her.
She suddenly stopped and groaned, holding onto her right foot.
Davis let go of her arm and she fell down crying in pain, her acting skills were superb, and Davis sighed loudly with irritation.
"We need to hurry, you can't walk? I have no time for this," he all of a sudden scooped Mia into his arms and carried her the princess style.
That was so unexpected.
