Pain.
No, that isn't right. I search my brain trying to describe the unsettling sensation. Something tugs at the back of my head making it hard to focus. I try to lift my hand to touch my head, but my arm refuses to obey my brain's command.
My heart kicks hard against my breastbone as panic rises in my chest.
"What is happening to me?"
I try again and manage to shift my leg to the side. It is heavy, the movement lazy and difficult.
"I told you that you shouldn't have mixed too much Rohypnol, she could be dead."
"It isn't too much,she will soon be awake," The second voice sounds familiar with his thick accent but I can't dwell on it as I try to fight against the unexpected paralysis.
"Shhh...just relax. It's gonna be okay." The urgent command makes me catch my breath.
Soon a sharp pain at my arm cuts through my confusion and I freeze. The pain eases as my mind begins to drift until.....
I jerk awake,limbs flailing as I try to fight off the imaginary assilaint. My hands tremble as I brush my hair back from my face.
My heart flutters like a panicked bird against her rib cage, the feeling troubling and unpleasant.
Breath in 1 2 3, breathe out 1 2 3.
I have never had such a dream and It seemed so real. Why did that voice sound so familiar.
The alarm rang, reminding me to start preparing for work.
I sat at the bar, my eyes glued to the entrance as I watched customers trickling in and out. Today happens to be one of the days when I let go and have fun.
Missy who had come with me was busy flirting with a guy who she just met.
"Can I get you anything?"
I smile politely at the bartender,
"Long island iced tea, please."
He nodded, and I watched him select a glass and prepare my drink. Soon I returned my gaze to the entrance.
The bartender slid my drink across the polished wood surface with a smile. The drink slid down my throat with a soothing sensation.
The bar beamed with red, green and yellow lights, more like disco lights. The DJ played song after song as everyone grooved and danced not caring about anything else but having fun.
My mind went back to my encounter with Alejandro. For the first time he actually acknowledged me and even spoke to me, but not without his usual dose of rudeness.
I could see curiosity in his eyes, although he tried very well to hide it I knew he wanted something from me. I just have to be careful to not spill too much.

Unknown POV.
The President could be seen pacing round the room,his face held its usual cold expression while his mind was troubled.
He had a lot of things on his mind. He was so close to finding out the murderer of his parents. He would never forget that fateful day.
~~~~Flashback to 20 years ago~~~~~
"Baby you have to stay here till I return," the woman said softly as she put the boy in a closet.
The boy looked to be about 8 years of age.
".....but I want to stay with you and Dad."
" No my boy, stay here Daddy and I will come and get you later. Stay quiet until I come," the woman replied.
A while later, the boy heard sirens and voices, he came out of the closet only to come across his aunt Teresa, she looked relieved to see him as she held him tight to her.
" Where is my mom and dad?"
"Errrr....rrrrrmmm you see they told me to come get you. Let me take you to Maya and Sebastian." Teresa didn't know how to explain that his parents had been murdered. For now she would have to avoid his questions.
~~~~~~~~~~~~Flashback ends~~~~~~~~~~~.
He already had a suspect but no evidence but now it seemed like there was more leads to a mafia. He had to tread with caution.

LOUISE.
The gifts continued coming, ranging from flowers, chocolates, teddy bears, dolls and candy bars. At first they were signed with J.M but now the initials had been changed to M.C , I knew this was somehow related.
I knew this was looking suspicious and dangerous but who could I call for help. I have no one.
"Alright listen up people, we will be catering for a gala dinner coming up next week Friday. I need 15 waiters so
Kiana, Mercy, John, Dawn, Lou, Missy, Karl, Alec, Paris, Stacy, Cole, Gia, Ella and Kaleb."
We had all gathered at the manager's office as he addressed all the waiters.
For the next hour, I went around serving customers till my shift ended.
