The moon was just starting to appear above our heads. The guests had been long gone while the inhabitants of the mansion had retired except Dr. Diaz.
She had led me to a balcony where we sat sharing a bottle of vodka, then we talked about our daily lives and work.
Dr. Diaz was drunk and I was tipsy, but I could still make out a silhouette of a man. He led Dr. Diaz out while I just kept giggling.
Then he came back, up-close his eyes were chocolate brown, he had a chiseled jawline and beautiful lips on an olive skin. I almost flinched at his intense gaze.
"Can you walk"?
His voice was so cold yet so enticing.
I took two steps and fell flat on my buttocks.
A Perfect combination of confusion and surprise graced my face as he lifted me off my feet in bridal style.
His cinnamon musky scent mixed with a high- classed cologne hit my nose and I inhaled it. His black hair was wild like it had gotten a taste of freedom of the cold evening breeze.
After a long walk, we stopped at a wood-colored door. He then put me down beside the bed.
"This is the guest room, you can stay here for the night" he said.
Although the house had a vintage vibe to it, the room looked modern with its bright colored decor.
"What happened to you, why does it seem like you bear the world's burdens on your shoulders"? I seemed to be more courageous when drunk.
He just stared at me and walked away after closing the door.

I woke up with a killer headache.
Wait, where the hell am I?
Did I sleep in a hotel?
I heard a knock on the door.
"Come in."
"Take this soup for your headache, you and my mum had too much alcohol last night. Alejandro had to put you in the guest room." Maya Diaz said, placing a bowl of soup by the bed. She seemed just as kind and gentle as her mother.
oh, that means I wasn't dreaming, I did talk to him.
"Thanks, but where is Dr. Diaz. I need to get back home." I asked.
"She's downstairs having breakfast, but first go and have a warm bath, I can give you one of my clothes to wear." She responded.
"OK, thank you."
A black joggers and grey T-shirt was on the bed when I came out of the luxurious bathroom.
"Hey, Lou how was your night. I am so sorry you couldn't go back home last night." Dr Diaz said as soon as she saw me.
"It's no problem Dr. Diaz, today is Saturday and I'm off duty."
"OK, please call me Teresa, Maya will drop you off." She then asked Maya to take me home.
The trip to my house was so tiring as Maya filled me in on latest news and gossips. She never ran out of things to say.
When we got to my apartment, we exchanged numbers and she drove off.
Third person's POV.
He looked down his window just as his sister drove off with 'her'. He didn't want to face her. It was like she knew his deepest secrets. Those green eyes of 'hers' seemed to be able to see the darkest corners.
'Louise' had managed to unnerve him. He couldn't stand to be in the same room with her, it was like she was always trying to read him.
