"Lou, can you please cover table B and H for me, I need to use the restroom." Missy asked.
"OK be quick about it." I replied.
After table B placed their order, I made my way to table H.
"It's good to finally meet you Louise". A voice said to me.
How and why did she try to find me. This is surely Missy's handwork.
"Dr. Diaz it's good to finally meet you too. I will surely remember to thank my friend for arranging this meeting, she did a good job."
The pointedness of my sarcasm was unmistakable.
"So what would you like to order?" I asked.
"I would like a cup of cappuccino from the breakfast menu and for you to sit down." She replied with so much gentility, as if she were talking to a child.
I wanted to reply rudely and turn her down but I couldn't.
"I am working now but my shift ends by 2pm, if you can wait for a few minutes then we can talk."
She nodded and smiled.

A few minutes later...
We sat down at a nearby coffee shop.
She just sat there, staring at me with that gentle motherly look.
She seemed like she had a lot of things to say.
"You know you remind me a lot of my nephew. The both of you are so much alike but the difference is that you cover your pains with a smile while he just seem so distant from everything." She said.
Is she expecting a sob story?
"Why do you think you know me Dr. Diaz." I replied. That feeling of annoyance was starting to rear its head.
"Please call me Teresa, I don't think I know you. Your eyes tell a lot about you no matter how much you think you can mask yoir pains, your eyes speak volumes. Don't let it eat you up,
I am not trying to psychoanalyze you, I want you to see me as a friend. Anytime you want to talk I will be waiting." She stated with a smile.
Words stuck in my throat.
The nerve of this woman! What exactly is going through her mind? It was so difficult to refuse her. The manner in which she talked made it seem like you could tell her your life history.
"Anyway, this is my home address and phone number, you can come visit anytime." She motioned to the paper in her hand.
Wow! She must be earning a lot for her to live at Downtown Miami.
"Well, it is nice talking to you but I must take my leave now." I muttered while fiddling with my hands.
