Sella sat at a desk in the small building, alone. She started to doze off, but knocking on the front door woke her up. She walked to the door and opened it. The man from the poster Sella saw earlier walked inside. "Why are you here?" Sella asked him.
"It's the only place I could come to." He said.
Sella had a disapproving glare on her face. "Look, I won't be here long; just enough time to drop her off." He handed Sella the child that was in his arms.
"Why? Didn't you say it was too dangerous for her to be in one place for too long?" Sella asked him.
The man walked back to the door. "Just let her have a normal life." The man said as he walked through the open door out into the night.
Sella stared at the sleeping Child. 'A normal life.' Sella thought.
The child started to toss and turn in her sleep and started to cry a little. "Oh no, please don't cry." Sella pleaded.
-6 years later-
Sella took care of the child as she grew up for six years. "Sella!" A little girl yelled out.
Sella walked outside to see what the yelling was about. "What is it, Irima?" She asked.
"Look! Look! There's a bunch of bugs under this rock!" Irima told Sella.
Sella was visibly shaken. "C-cool, Irima. How about you come to play with dolls instead?" Sella asked slowly.
"NO!" Irima yelled at her.
"Okay, okay. Well then, how about you come inside for some lunch, okay?" Sella asked the little Irima.
"What is the lunch?" Irima asked.
"It's your favorite, nuggets." Sella answer.
"Yay!!!" Irima yelled as she ran inside.
Sella started back towards the door, but she froze when she stepped into a wet patch of grass. "Huh, it hasn't rained today," Sella said, aloud.
"Why is it wet?" She asked. 'She can't be learning magic already!' Sella thought to herself. 'If anyone from the government finds out that she's the child of that man, … no, don't think like that come on me. It's got to be a coincidence.' Sella walked inside to see Irima eating the nuggets that were left out for her. 'If she is learning magic … I can't let anyone find out.' Sella thought.
Irima lay in bed, staring at the ceiling. She rolled onto her side. 'I wonder what Sella was thinking about earlier.' She thought.
Irima could hear talking coming from Sella's bedroom. She got up and walked out towards Sella's room. The door to Sella's room was slightly opened. Irima peeked inside the room. "I can't let her be found out," Sella said, sporadically. "If anyone finds out she is the daughter of a criminal then …"
Irima stared wide-eyed. She pushed the door open. "What?" She asked.
Sella turned to the now-opened door. "Irima?! How much did you hear?" Sella asked her.
"I'm the daughter of a bad guy?" Irima asked with tears threatening to fall.
Sella ran to Irima and hugged her. "No! Your father may be a criminal, but he is not a bad person!" Sella told her.
The next day Irima sat outside staring into the sky. "Uhhhh." She breathed.
"What's wrong with you?" A girl asked her. Irima glanced at the girl.
"I can't tell you," Irima said to her.
"Why not?" She asked.
"I promise I won't tell anyone." The girl told Irima.
"Ok fine, last night I found out my father is a criminal." The girl stared at Irima.
"Are you sure?" The girl asked.
"Yeah, Sella said so."
That night Sella sat at the desk again. Someone knocked on the front door of the building. Sella got up and went and opened the door. Outside stood the woman from six years earlier, she wore the same armor and had the same haircut. "C-can I help you?" Sella asked her.
"Yes, I have reason to believe that the offspring of a criminal lives here." The woman told Sella.
"What?! Why would I harbor the child of a criminal?" Sella asked, upset. The woman pushed Sella down.
"Stay down. I am going to search this place."
-Present-
"She found me and confirmed I was the daughter of a criminal," Irima told Kamio.
"And you were taken away?" Kamio asked.
"Yes, I was." Kamio started to say something but was cut off by a loud bell.
"What the-" Kamio said.
"I guess it's my time to go," Irima said.
"Huh?"
Irima started towards the arena in the middle of town. "That bell was the signal that the tournament is about to start."
