"What?" Melissa asked, shocked.
Sakiro leaned next to Kamio. "We can?" He asked quietly.
"Of course, we can. We're already trying to get out of here, so it wouldn't be too much more trouble to take her with us, right?" Kamio explained.
"I guess, but now that you're able to walk again, I have something I need to take care of," Sakiro told him, looking down at the ground.
"I understand, you want to get payback on the G7-4 guys, right?" Kamio asked.
Sakiro snapped his eyes up to Kamio, "H-how did you know?" Sakiro stammered.
Kamio smiled at him, "It's really easy to tell."
"Kitchen? Is that where I am?" Yuu asked Rex.
"Yes, it would seem your body yearns for food after the beating Bella gave it," Rex answered.
"Yearns?" Yuu asked. "What do you mean?"
Rex sighed, "Ancient power uses a lot of energy, so naturally your body would want food."
Yuu glared at Rex. "Who are you anyway?" She asked.
"I am the elite in charge of this tower, Rex." He answered.
Kamio held Melissa's hand as they walked through the halls of the tower. "Why?" Melissa asked once more. Kamio glanced down at her.
"Well, because you looked like you didn't want to be here," Kamio said, smiling.
"So, can you tell me why you were here?" He asked her.
"I disobeyed mama."
-One year ago-
Melissa sat outside, leaning against a tree. "I'm bored." Four young boys walked past her.
"Hey, isn't that the annoying girl?" One of them asked.
The other boys stopped and looked at her. "Yeah, it is. Just looking at her is pissing me off; let's go do something about that." Another said.
A young man, with a hood covering his face, walked through the streets of the small town. He stopped at a food stand. "Excuse me, do you know where I could find a transportation service?" He asked the man.
"Yeah, just down the street and take a left, can't miss it." The visiting man started to walk away, "Thanks."
The man followed the directions and arrived at the service. As he was about to walk into the building he glanced across the street and saw four boys bullying a young girl. He could tell the girl was yelling about something but couldn't make it out. He decided to ignore it and walked into the building. He walked up to a woman at the desk. "I would like to rent a carriage." The man told the woman.
"Ok, I will need a name." The woman said.
"Rex." He replied.
"Ok, it'll be ready in about 15 minutes." The woman said.
"Thank you," Rex said as he walked back outside. He looked across the street and saw that one of the boys that was bullying the girl from before was on the ground crying and bleeding from a big wound on his head. The girl stood and was watching. Rex walked over to the girl. "What happened?" He asked.
Melissa looked up at him. "I-I-I didn't do it. I tried to warn him." She said quietly.
"You know, I work for the government, so I'm going to need you to come with me," Rex told her. "You should know that using any type of magic is forbidden, especially ancient magic." Rex grabbed Melissa's hand and took her to the carriage.
